This place has been massively changed, remodeled, and downsized since I posted my original review, inside and out. Outside: the circular brick facade is gone and there is a nice covered outdoor seating area. Inside, Barnes and Noble is long gone and now it's just a standard rectangular single story space with limited seating much smaller than before, and not a great place to work. Just a long row of leather benches against the window-wall with tiny little circular tables in front of them, only two small square 2 person tables on the opposite wall. IOW, they just want you to pay for your drinks, slurp it down while perhaps gabbing with a friend or two, suffer the rather loud (70db?) canned cafe pop music soundtrack, and then GTFO, lol. But, it's still a Starbucks and the convenience of ordering online using the app so that your drink is sitting there ready for pickup when you come in, will keep me coming back whenever I'm in the area and need a bit of a caffeine boost. They still have the best/biggest hot green tea around---a bit overpriced of course but nice and strong and not a diabetic-sugar-explosion like most of their other drinks. read more

My drink is decent and so is my partners. But it would be better if beverage makers took a moment and shook the nut milks before pouring separated oil and water in my drink. I asked the beverage maker to shake the nut milks for "Steph's," order and she looked at me like I had 5 heads. That shouldn't be such a triggering question. It should be a conscious habit to shake an ingredient that one, says to shake before pouring right on the carton, and two , to also to make the customers drink as best as you can. The woman who is in front counter beverage needs to check her attitude and work on satisfying customer requests. Received my drink around 9:56am. read more

Any time I have ever ordered a drink from this place, it is made horribly. I went in yesterday to pick up my mobile order and realized they had forgotten a pink drink I ordered and they started rushing to make it. When the drink was finally ready it was a weird color, tasted disgusting, and every sip had me chewing literal seeds from the dried strawberries. I had already left before I realized how badly they messed it up, and had to go to an entirely different location to get it remade. This Starbucks is usually very busy which is understandable given the location. The staff are friendly even during the busy days. The particular Sunday I came in, I could see a large group of people waiting for their orders, none seemed particularly impatient which is good. But when I went to place my order (may have also been my mistake and due to the noise in the store) the cashier took my order incorrectly and I let it slide, given it seemed like it was their first week on the job and they needed help. The part that was a little annoying though was that they took my name incorrectly and never called out names for the orders already on the counter. By the time I was able to get past people to grab my drinks, I felt a little frustrated that no names were being called out -- only for mobile orders which is a note I'll take for next time. I also ordered an Iced Doppio (espresso on ice) and it tasted like a watered down coffee with milk. Although this won't be my go-to location, i will give them another chance. read more

I agree with previous reviewers... having this attached to the B&N it has its advantages and disadvantages. It always seems to be hectic or even chaotic in here. There is always people standing around everywhere and just to get a sugar packet is a pain. The staff are usually friendly but they are always trying to rush you which makes me flustered and then I forget what I want to order! It is nice though to be able to grab a latte before searching the B&N for a book that you can never find because they always seem to put in a different category than what you would think. My drinks have always been made right though so while you may have to deal with a little chaos the end result is still good. read more

Very slow service. Put in a mobile order and my iced coffee wasn't ready until after 30minutes. Even in more crowded Starbucks cafes in other areas, I didn't have to wait this long. Both baristas behind the counter were super friendly. Unfortunately my drink didnt taste right at all. Ordered an iced caramel macchiato. What I received was milk, drizzled with caramel sauce. There was barely any coffee in it at all. Not sure what happened. My drink still looked almost completely white after I mixed it. Quite disappointing. read more

I come here every weekend for my regular coffee. The reason I'm choosing to leave this review is because the staff today deserves recognition. Stu (the apron he was wearing) was so pleasant and polite. The perfect smile to start your Sunday morning (whom I've not seen before here). The team he was working with was also keeping busy and prepping for what I imagine will be a busy day. If the staff did their job making customer orders and spent less time talking to their friends who loiter around the counter, maybe they could speed up the process. The whole point of ordering ahead is to have your order waiting when you arrive, not waiting an additional 7 minutes beyond the 7 minute estimated pickup time the app gives you. During a recent trip to Shopper's World, I swung by to oggle the magazine section at Barnes and get caffeinated. To my surprise, the B&N member card is not accepted in the cafe. As I spoke with my barista about it, she told me this was a 'free-standing' Starbucks and had no affiliation with the bookseller. Since I wasn't impressed with her explanation, she had to sell me on a few things. Little known fact: "Starbucks associates" have more [corporate-level] training; we know what we're doing! Also, they tend to have a bigger variety of snacks at the cash counter, and their pastry cases display more product. There is a Starbucks card you can get, it costs nothing, you just put cash on it like a debit card, and you get discounts on add-ons such as soy milk and flavor shots. Sidenote: The barista who took my order cracked my stuff up. She was wearing an 'I love being awesome' pin on her lapel which seemed to sum up our conversation. And she enjoyed witty banter, or at least convincingly humored me with her sales pitch. read more

It's an ordinary Starbucks, but the management allows rude customers to carry on making disruptive conversation and disturbing respectful patrons. Even when I spoke to them they refused to even speak to this person. That's irresponsible management that supports rude people running the world. Her name is Nicole Blank. And, when this obnoxious customer walked out, he made an antagonistic remark, to which Nicole said she didn't see the need to mediate between adults. While I pointed out to her that this is part of a manager's role, she seemed completely oblivious to that. Shame on Starbucks for hiring such managers. read more

While it's great to be at B&N and have a Starbucks right next door, it's not great to be at Starbucks with a B&N right next door. When you have time to wander and browse the literature, you have plenty of time to waste standing in line waiting for your coffee. Not my favorite location. The long line that extends to the entrance is in the middle of where people are sitting at the tables. There is also an awkward entrance in from Barnes and noble, and the only way they can get to the back of the line is by walking through the line that is already there. Having a Starbucks that's right next to a Barnes and Nobles is very convenient - particularly when you're out Christmas shopping. Only drawback is that this location is very small. It's somewhat amusing and annoying that so many people take their coffee into Barnes and Noble - only to grab a book/magazine and proceed to take up residence there. This is an interesting StarBuck's location. It is attached to Barne's and Noble, but is its own Starbuck's. By that I mean to say that it is a full blown Starbuck's, and not one of those disappointing "we proudly brew Starbucks coffee" coffee shops nside a book store. amazing experience, especially at this one connected to the Barnes and Noble bookstore!! They actually offered to get me a seasonal item that was not on the menu yet! They created a random coffee drink for me and it was FABULOUS. And I do feel bad that an angry customer yelled at them for what was obviously her mistake not the Starbucks team's. Convenient location, and they never switch my orders up like other places ("oh, you said soy milk? I thought you said 2% milk."). Most of the baristas are friendly and engaging. Some of them get irritated when you tell them you want your coffee in the biggest bucket they can find. ("You mean a venti? Why not just say venti? OK, a venti.") Sometimes the mochas can be a little weird, but it's like that at every Starbucks. It depends on what size you get and how heavy-handed your barista is. Try the newest incarnation (the dark cherry mocha), and you'll fall in love. Especially if you have a food allergy like me, and cannot eat chocolate covered cherries. Speaking of allergies, if you have a severe milk allergy I recommend skipping this place. There is plenty of cross-contamination. I have a very moderate allergy, so I just get a bit of an icky tummy (although I have on a few occasions had a full blown reaction from a drink...). The prices are off the charts. $5 for a mocha I could make at home for $1 is a little much. And yet I continue to patronize their establishment... they must be doing something right! :D read more

This location continues to put too much almond milk in a ordered extra dry cappuccino I've asked a number of times and they continue to have way too much milk in the coffee. The last time when I mentioned it all they did was remove liquid from the coffee to make the drink weight less ...So both the coffee and the almond milk were taken out of the drink they had already made read more

I had a horrible experience here. Went in for a coffee which I usually do at least a couple times a day. With 5 people on duty I waited more than 5 minutes with only one other person in the restaurant. They closed the second register right in front of me while the other register tried to figure out how to recharge a card. I finally walked out in frustration. Shame on you.
