I am not a Starbucks person - at least not for the drinks, normally. I find the locations are often convenient places for me to meet up with people. That has been my prior experiences - except when it was a pit stop en route to my mom's house in Cleveland - where I'd work there for a couple hours after driving most of the way up prior to dawn. Anyways, for some unknown reason, I was simply obsessed with the Lavender Oatmilk Matcha Latte drink. I think it was the colorful photos I saw. I'm a purple girl who is also into health - so the green and purple were my jam. SPOILER - the drink was green - no sign of purple. I did my research and found the caloric intake in consuming one acceptable - unlike some of the other Starbucks fru-fru abominations. The times I do drink a Starbucks drink - it's a black decaf pour-over. So it was go big or go home. Extra big Lavender Oatmilk Matcha Latte for me. Around 300 calories and $6.75. Fortunately, I had a gift card someone had given my husband - someone who didn't know he was strictly a Mountain Dew guy. I put in my order and no wait in line. It was mid-afternoon and I figured I'd be quickly served. It blows my mind the drive through lines I see wrapped around Starbucks at all times of the day! Anyways, the gift card covered the cost of my drink and I found a spot to wait. About 5 minutes later, my drink was ready. I got it and headed out the door. I had finished running errands and would enjoy on the way home. It had a definite lavender and matcha taste. No question about it. The cream added a sweetness that was critical to my liking it - more of this later. I did find that I only took a couple sips on the way home. After getting home, I had yard work to do and this puppy lasted the entire time. Those were some hard core ice cubes that refused to melt. I was determined to drink every last drip - ice meltings and all. Overall, I'd give it a 7 out of 10. Definitely a love/hate thing I'm guessing. You either enjoy these tastes or not. I decided I liked them. As a result, I Googled how to make one and went about securing the ingredients. Matcha latte powder - available at Kroger. Lavender syrup - lavender in the spice section at Kroger and was able to make with Stevia I had on hand. And then I bought sugar free cool whip to add some creaminess. And bonus - I bought myself a frother (also at Kroger). I don't know if it tastes exactly the same - but I'm find it drinks the same as the original. I make one in the mid-afternoon rather than eating a snack - and it lasts the rest of my workday. I recommend you give it a try if it sounds like your jam - then figure out how to make at home to save on $$. I figure mine cost about $2 for the same size - the only real costs were Matcha latte powder ($1 a serving) and the lavender spice ($3 and it will go about 8 or so servings and the syrup is only good for up to 2 weeks in the fridge once made). Probably all TMI but worth writing about. read more

I just waited 15 to 20 minutes in a drive through line to purchase a five dollar iced tea. The tea is warm and watered down with no ice. What a disappointment Starbucks, you can do better than that. I was here this morning, and I simply asked for a simple order. I got the most disgusting drink I have ever drank in my life. The customer service was really terrible. Worst customer service I've ever ever experienced in my life and the worst part when I tried to call them, they answered the first time and I told them about my concerns and then they just hung up on me. This Starbucks is always extremely busy! Every time I go in or even pass by, the store inside is packed and the drive-thru line is wrapped around. The good thing is that the store is spacious so you don't feel like you're crammed into a confined space with other people. The workers here are very nice and professional. They are quick with the orders too! I don't know how they do it because I'd be so stressed out trying to make personalized drinks and bust them out in the drive-thru. All of the drinks and food I have gotten here have tasted amazing and exactly the way I want it. I stopped in this Starbucks to get some work done before I had an event to go to down the street. It was about five in the afternoon and the place was pumping. I couldn't believe how busy it was so late in the day. However, I'll take that as a good sign. I ordered my drink, a slightly basic PSL but with soy milk, and found a seat at the bar. I really appreciated that they had outlets under the bar. My cell phone was happy to get some juice and I was happy to get some work accomplished. I didn't have a single problem with the Wi-Fi and the staff were all crazy friendly. I loved watching them interact with other costumers after me. Everyone was leaving with a smile. While I wouldn't hesitate to come back, the parking lot was a bit of a cluster and the seating was limited. In my opinion that's a testament to how much their costumers love them, but also a warning sign. Be smart about when you come if you're coming to stay a while. read more

The kindest, coolest staff. They always remember me and greet me by name. They're one of the busiest locations I've seen - including San Diego and downtown Chicago locations, and for good reason. There is a location closer to every destination I can think of, including my home, yet, I go out of my way to visit this one. I've only once ever had an experience where a drink was not presented as ordered. They not only remade it, but also let me keep the other. Sure, there is nothing they can do with it, but I have had experiences where baristas or cashiers have vindictively requested the item and thrown it away in clear view. Not the case with these folks. This location is warm and clean. There is a nice amount of seating inside and out. I ordered one of my usual drinks, trenta mango dragonfruit refresher. The color didn't look right. After taking a few sips, it was on the weaker side. The ice would have watered it down too much. I asked the girl if she could add a splash more. She was nice enough to remake it. I always get great service from the ladies here. Some of the employees have been here 5+ years. If you're a regular they call you by name and sometimes recall what you usually get. This has to be one of the busiest locations in Columbus. There seems to be a line whether short or long in the drive Thru but it always moves fast. The staff is always friendly prompt and courteous. My orders are always correct. I've never been disappointed in the seLections or quality. Most of the time the cashier always greets me with a smile either inside or via drive Thru. This used to be, I believe, a Caribou Coffee, and we had been there. Since the change we've been here once or twice. Starbucks isn't the best coffee, but it's good enough, and of course they're everywhere. And most have drive-throughs, which counts when you're busy, and/or have a baby along. The line was short, and fast-moving, till they got to our car. Got my coffee order wrong, and told me they were out of the sandwich I had ordered. Since I don't have the menu memorized I had to pick pretty much at random, and ended up with a tomato mozz sandwich. Pretty good ingredients and bread. A nice snack, or light lunch. Sweetie's order was correct, thankfully. Prices are high, as usual for Starbucks, but hey, it's handy and sometimes you need caffeine. This is not my favorite Starbucks, even though it's the closest one to my house. First of all, it's too small. I like Starbucks the most because it's supposed to be a great gathering place. Not in this case. You'll be lucky to find room to stand while waiting for your Grande! I guess you really need to like their coffee to go to this location. Although, I don't find their coffee much better than any other coffee shop anymore. Maybe it's because I'm sick of paying such high prices anymore. I don't know. The service is adequate at best, but the crowd can interfere with the ambiance, because it can be difficult to find a parking spot (small lot) and then wait in line in these cramped quarters. This Starbucks is hit or miss, the drive-through often takes twenty minutes or more, but if you go inside it's a bit faster. The staff is always courtesy and kind and my drinks are always good. It just depends on how much time you have to spend. read more

I placed my order 10 minutes before arriving and people that walked in with me received their orders before me. The location of this Starbucks isn't the best--it is hard to access from Morse and Hamilton but the friendly staff makes this stop worth the trouble. This is not the kind of Starbucks where you want to hang out or set up shop. However, for me, it really makes my day when the staff recognizes a regular customer and has his/her coffee poured before he/she gets to the register. This place had some nice outdoor seating and a cool bar area to sit up at and watch them make drinks. I like the bar area but it was full when I walked in. I ordered an ice Caramel Machiatto with an extra shot and ended up with iced mocha. I corrected the mistake and ended up with two drinks instead of one which is nice to have. The barrista who made it didn't initially stick around to understand my confused face but luckily for me the barrista at the cash register noticed my discomfort. I waited half an hour for a mobile order where they never got the sticker. The first time I asked I was ignored. Second time I asked I was told, "Everyone's is delayed." Okay, but half an hour for a coffee? I told them I would leave without the coffee since I was late to work and the one barista offered to make it on the fly but I felt guilty doing that to other customers. And at that point, it was too late. The staff is nice but the wait is insane. If the location is busy then you need to add more people or update your process. I've been to locations in larger cities that are more efficient, so there needs to be better training from corporate to make this consistent. Make sure you aren't in a rush when you order. I ordered something through the mobile app and somehow the ticket for my food item was "lost" so I waited 30 minutes for an incomplete order. I didn't have time to wait for them to make it so I just left. Starbucks is alright. I really wish they would offer drink sizes/drinks with less fancy names since I always feel awful silly ordering a venti-skinny-caramel-whip-macchiato-frappe-supreme! Yeah, that's just not me, I want to go into a coffee shop and just be able to say "Hey, can I have a small mocha?" and be done with it. The decor tries too hard to be coffee-shop-esque, the names for drinks and drink sizes scream of pretentiousness and things are always over-priced but, I still stop here every now and then because as much as it might hurt me to say so, they do make some darn good drinks. read more

I frequent this Starbucks- at least 4 times per week. Katie and the whole staff are amazing. We are always greeted with smiles and kindness. I feel like part of the family there.
