I'm not one for giving bad review's but honestly this Starbucks is not great. My drink never comes out right... When I order it at any other Starbucks it comes out perfect so I'm not sure what the confusion is at this Starbucks when I order the drink the same way every time. When I asked the people at the counter to make it right I got attitude and was told I had to order it a certain way which I did and it still came out wrong. It's frustrating when you order certain things for your drink and it never comes out right. I only EVER have issues at this Starbucks no where else literally. This is by far one of the worst Starbucks. Customer service is a non existent, they all look at each other to see who is going to take walk in orders and it seems no one really wants to. Once your order is taken, they have a bad system for actually making your drink. People who walk in and order way after will get their drink before you, and they were not mobile orders, then to top it off the drinks taste watered down. Stopped by on our way back home from San Francisco to get some coffee and stretch our legs. Friendly service and clean restrooms. The coffee tastes exactly as any other Starbucks coffee. A bit of a burnt aftertaste is left in your mouth. I ordered an iced doppio with milk and shared it with my husband. My son got a refresher and said it was too sweet so we added some water to it in the car. I have to remember to say half the sweetener when ordering at Starbucks. read more

The service here is just ok. The baristas are businesslike and efficient but not friendly. Surprisingly there is a large homeless population in this area which did not seem apparent in past years and the toilets now have codes you need to get when you order like in large urban areas. The place was quiet to average noise level on our visit. Parking is ample in the lot. The drink quality is standard for other locations. My boyfriend and I made a stop here during a little road trip down south. We needed a little energy so we each ordered a coffee and some yummy eats. As we waited for our order we got asked by a couple of staff what we were waiting for. We let them know the two food items left (we had already received our coffees and third food item). This happened a couple of times. When they finally brought our last two food items over, they handed us a "next ones on us" gift card and apologized for the wait. I really wasn't in a rush and it didn't take toooo long, but I totally appreciated their gesture. It's located in the same shopping center as Basic Foods Market, McDonald's and Linda's Taqueria. Inside the shop it's clean and well organized. Customer service was friendly from start to finish. Came here yesterday afternoon and ordered: trenta iced green tea unsweetened venti vanilla bean frapuccino one birthday cake pop I decided to use my free birthday reward on the venti vanilla bean frapuccino (for my hubs). The trenta iced green tea unsweetened was refreshing. Our drinks were well made. There is plenty of parking in this shopping center but they also have a drive through for those who don't want to get out of their car. MY FIRST GINGERBREAD LATTE EXPERIENCE - HAPPENED RIGHT HERE! It was pretty easy to locate, Google Map takes you right to the location. It has decent amount of parking option available since it shares a parking lot with several other businesses, might need to wait a little to find parking or just walk a little. It's pretty close to the highway so for convenience its awesome, but in terms of wait time is little eh. Everyone that was working on the day I went were friendly. It was kept pretty neat. Dear Hubby was craving a java fix, and a rest stop. This was our first time at this highway-close location. The strip mall location had a busy parking lot, so we berthed across from the building. Only problem? The rose bushes in the strip planter were allowed to grow freely. One long stem, filled with gnarly thorns, was taking aim at my pant leg as I exited the car. DH moved the stem, tucking it back into itself, but it needed pruning as it was very dangerous as it lay. The parking spaces were tight to begin with, so having the rosebush in attack mode was not helpful even before we entered. Once inside, a gracious young woman at the counter was training a new hire. She had a sparkle-plenty personality and customer service style. I hope the newbie was paying attention to this excellent training! I asked to speak with the manager. Shared with her my concerns about the parking planter strip so that she, as a tenant, can report it to the center management. She was most gracious and promised to pursue it. I believed that she would. With our Fraps in hand, we were ready to hit the road again. One last hit, courtesy of the strip planter. It is so lengthy, unnecessarily so, that when I pulled backwards, I hit the curb trying to get out. There wasn't an easy angle to exit. Who designed this mess?! This is a much better Starbucks than the Soledad location. Only because it's not as swamped with people who are going to the Pinnacles. This location is right off 101. If you happen to be hungry, there are a couple of restaurants, like Taco Bell a real taqueria and other stuff. Gonzales staff are nice and made us a quality drink. This little Starbucks, just off the 101 at the 5th Street exit, makes a nice place to stop off, stretch one's, hit the restroom and caffeinate. That's pretty much my modus operandi on long car trips. Get a large coffee, drive until I need a restroom, strop and get yet another cup of coffee. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. This cute little Starbucks was not my first coffee stop of the trip and I was still highly caffeinated. There were customers sitting at the outside tables enjoying they espresso drinks and newspapers under the shade of two Starbucks umbrellas. Inside, I was greeted by the friendly baristas. I decided I wanted to switch things up a little and get a hot tea but I wasn't sure whether to go with my old standby, Refresh, or try something new. The baristas, with patient smiles, point and listed all the different types of tea they carry. I finally decided to go with the sure thing - Refresh and sat down at one of the tall round cafe tables with stools lining the front window. There was a large conference table off to left, and plenty of seating at smaller tables to the right. There were electric outlets everywhere for people to plug in their electronic devices, and of course the free wifi that Starbucks is known for. A friend of mine told me he always goes to Starbucks, even when in Japan. That there's something comforting about the fact they all look the same no matter where you are. I thought of that this trip. Most of our short vacay in Cambria was pretty out of the way - it was nice to walk in and see familiar foods I could actually eat (McDonalds I'm looking at you). I really appreciate that Starbucks has stretched out enough that MickeyD's isn't the only option anymore. It's lovely to walk in at night, when it's raining and you're far from home and get a familiar drink. Service at this location was simply okay. I had to repeat myself a couple times and then re-ask to have the cookie warmed (getting a light bit of attitude in the process) but my drink was as it was supposed to be. I'm pretty used to Starbucks being overly friendly. But again, this got the job done. read more

It's about 20 min. south of Salinas, just north of the self proclaimed "Happenin" town of Soledad. Where's Soledad you ask? It's the small town nearest "The Pinnacles" National Park. So if you're headed to the Pinnacles from the Bay Area, this new Starbucks is a nice convenient stop near the park. It's a Starbucks, so they have all the regular items. This space use to be called the Latte Cafe. There is a drive up window. There is free Wifi. Service seemed friendly. It is quite spacious inside with some decent seating options. To start off, if I could give this place less than 1 star I would. I went to pick up my mobile order and waited 15 minutes, which is ridiculous, but on top of that I couldn't tell if there was even a manager on the floor from how chaotic things were. I understand that in the mornings it gets super busy, but one barista who seemed to be the manager with the name tag Janna was very condescending to her workers and ignored me when I asked about my order. Staff here was very rude. As a first responder, essential worker, I would not voluntarily show up to Starbucks at 5:30am just because I feel like it, so I placed my mobile order to pick up because the app allowed me to. Stopped by this Starbucks to pick up my order through the drive-thru since the lobby wasn't open yet. So I noticed a sign that said they'd open at 6am, which I respect completely. BUT, the "not-so-friendly staff, three employees, all walked away from the window when I brought my phone up to the window to point & show I have a mobile order. They all chose to ignore me & walk away. How hard would it have been to open the window & issue a refund? I didn't need my mobile order to be ready in that moment if you weren't open, I do understand. But a simple refund! So of course I decided to call, and to my surprise they answer the phone BEFORE 6 am, oh the irony! I thought they weren't open! They can ignore a customer at their window but they are able to pick up the phone?! LOL. What a joke. It's not even so much that I was left without my order, trust me 8$ won't make me poorer, but it's the fact that their customer service is CRAP! OH! And shut off your mobile order app for the hours you're not open! It's not rocket science. So disappointing. So I will no longer give them my business, and will NOT recommend them to anybody!
