1/2 of a venti latte that was handed to me like this This is theft
    Felipe S.

Starbucks corporate wonders why it's not doing well. See included pictures, I usually order a simple latte for myself but that seems to be too hard for baristas. A common issue in the inland empire in general is not getting a full coffee and when prices land between $6-$8 that's the equivalent of stealing. Since when has it become a standard practice to hand someone a latte that's 1/2 filled up? The contents of this venti fit into a tall cup. We are done with Starbucks and I hope the chain goes out of business.

Staff: The young man at the window was so nice. I unfortunately forgot his name. Quality: The food was as good as expected from Starbucks. My issue with the store itself was the condition of the outside of the store. We used the drive thru and could see trash littered around the outside in a couple of areas, mainly the outdoor area which does not appear to be in use. Now we were told they are closing for a few weeks which may be to update the store, but even if this is the case, there needs to be a minimum level of respect for the store appearance. Overall: If I am passing through again, I may stop by but I don't l know if I'll be back given the condition of the store.

Great way to lift up the spirits Starbucks!

Thank you Starbucks for the kind words! I've been coming here for a little over 7 years to grab a coffee for my grandma. Always friendly and helpful. Enjoy coming to this location! Great staff and attitudes!

Average public Wi-Fi speed here. Adequate, but anemic. Come on, Starbucks! You can do better than this.

It's always a shame to me when I have to downgrade my review of a favorite spot. Anyone who reads my Yelps on a semi-regular basis knows I'm a fan of Starbucks in general. This location was the first to open in Highland, and so has sentimental appeal to me. Recently the location shut down temporarily for a remodel. A few local locations have been remodeling lately so I admit I was rather excitedly curious. Today I was able to pop into the lobby to see what was "new and improved". Needless to say, I was less than impressed with the remodel. Where do I start? Firstly, they re-vamped the layout of the lobby and slashed the size of the customer lobby BY AT LEAST HALF!! As shown by the pictures I am posting, they've vastly increased the space occupied by the order/pick up area and relocated the kitchen to where the side entrance used to be. There are also only 3 small tables in the customer lobby. And they occupy a small area almost like an afterthought. To add to this, as shown from the pic I included, all wall outlets where someone might want to plug in a laptop or some other charger near the tables have been covered over by a wall plate. It's obvious to see what they are trying to achieve with this remodel. They are trying to increase the flow and efficiency of in-store traffic so people don't linger as long. This is all fine and good; especially since the parking and drive-thru situation at this location has always been a challenge. They have also removed one of the restrooms; cutting the number down to 1. However, Starbucks has always been a haven for people to be able to relax, socialize and even get some work done whilst enjoying a cup or two. To be fair, the inside is very clean, bright and airy. This is accentuated by the new large picture windows that have been installed in the front. But former customers to this location are bound to be confused and saddened by the new lobby design. I know I was. It's almost like they don't value the customer experience anymore that Starbucks was known for and are more interested in getting customers through the line and out the door. Talking to a couple of employees there, I was informed that quite a few other customers have said things similar to me on this. Yeah.. sorely disappointed. Starbucks, you fumbled the ball on this one.

This is the 2nd drink they made me with no foam? That's a good 2 inches of foam in a tall... complete waste of money. Never dealt with it being this bad at any other Starbucks.

Slow Bloom always has a rotated seasonal menu that literally reads like poetry. like wdym i have the option to get a Whimsical Strawberry Magic Cheesecake Latte???? i love hojicha more than regular matcha (before the "uuurm, actually--" comments i know they're both matcha) BUT MY FRIENDS STILL CALLED ME PERFORMATIVEEEE?? and do i care? HELL NAH. Hojicha tastes like a nuttier, cocoa-like, more roasted version of matcha, and Slow Bloom does Hojicha GREAT... close with all the drink cafes in KTown.... BUT IN THE INLAND EMPIRE BABY. it was so smooth, whisked, and CREAMY. the vanilla cream top really topped it off, it was perfectly balanced and not insanely sweet. BUT THE MATCHA IS FANTASTIC HERE TOO. i tried a sip of my friend's matcha latte and it was POTENT. ur not gonna get a light green matcha... it'll be dark, yet smooth and not bitter at all. definitely one of the top matchas in the IE. the coffee selection here are so unique, and you can tell they GENUINELY care about have high quality options and varieties (their drip options are plentiful, include origins, and flavor profiles... i see all you pretentious connoisseurs--)

Creamy, fluffy foam, coconutty flavor with a bit of caramel sweetness, dark chocolate espresso and alotta cinnamon flavor. Deliciously perfect for a Fall or Winter drink! This drink took me by surprise! Really enjoyed it! CHOCOLATE SEMOLINA OLIVE OIL LOAF It wasn't bad, but a bit disappointed that it was straight up chocolate loaf. Technically, it is more of a cocoa loaf, as it is not sweet nor is there chocolate in it. However, it had a lovely spongy, bouncy texture. Flavor-wise, it's nothing special especially with the long name and all. SUNSHINE MATCHA LATTE (Iced) Nekohama matcha. Latte was a bit sweet. But you can taste the Earl Grey and matcha. Got it with whole milk. It made it creamy, which was good. I did taste a hint of lemon in it as well. Honestly did not like that extra lemon flavor, as it distracted from the Earl Grey itself. I don't think the lemon was necessary. There was citrus flavor, but not tartness. I think citrus peel would have been better if they wanted an extra citrus flavor. Overall, it wasn't bad except the lemon flavor. Really threw me off. CUSTOMER SERVICE Service was nice. Recommended drinks were good. INDOOR & OUTDOOR SEATS A-PLENTY Ambiance had a retro feel, which was fun. Indoor was packed! No tables or seats available. Smaller tables for 2. Outdoor tables and seats were available. Big groups can be seated outdoors with larger tables. Bathroom available. PARKING LOT Small-ish parking lot. Parking lot was packed. Given how packed it was inside, there were a few spots for parking. There is also free street parking as well. Love the drink options here and would love to return when I'm in the area!

I stopped by The Chocolate Bar in the Albertsons shopping center in Highland to grab a coffee, but…read moresince I needed something to eat as well, I decided to try a few items. First off, the ambience is great. The café is decorated with cute French-themed touches, and it has a cozy, inviting vibe. The employees were also friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. For food, I ordered a turkey sandwich. It was good overall--more of a torta-style sandwich with flavorful ingredients, served on toasted white bread. No complaints there. Unfortunately, the coffee was a letdown. I ordered the horchata latte, but it tasted like low-quality coffee. I didn't really get any horchata flavor--more like a watered-down vanilla/cinnamon latte. For dessert, I tried the key lime tart. It wasn't very sweet, and the crust was extremely dry. Considering it was almost $10 for a fairly small tart, it didn't feel worth the price. Speaking of price, the overall cost felt overpriced for what you get. I paid around $30 for a sandwich, coffee, and tart, which felt steep given the quality of the items I tried. Service timing was another issue. A group came in after me, and my order wasn't started until after they took everyone else's order. Normally this wouldn't bother me, but I was in a bit of a hurry, and it ended up holding me up longer than expected. That said, it does seem like crepes are their main specialty, and judging by other reviews, those might be worth trying. If you're going specifically for crepes, it may still be worth a visit. However, based on my experience with the sandwich, coffee, and dessert, I personally wouldn't return. I genuinely wish them the best as a small business--it just wasn't for me.

This review is a cumulative review of about five total trips:…read more Food/Drink: There are plenty of pastries offered but i've only tried the coffee cake they once offered. It was fair priced, a large slice, good presentation, good amount of crumble, not dry, and not too sweet. My mom enjoyed hers as well. As for the coffee, it is amazing. I tried the iced oat milk meteorite latte and it was absolutely amazing. I usually ask for half sweet, but the drinks here are, as the owner said, "balanced." That is my go to drink. My mom loves their matcha. I've had it as well and it is just as amazing. They had a strawberry matcha with strawberry sauce at the bottom and strawberry cold foam on top. However, the sauce was too sweet for us so we did plain matcha and strawberry foam and it was 10/10. I wish they brought this one back. They now have like a triple matcha that is also really good. It is matcha with matcha foam and a matcha dust. Really great. Service: The service is really great. The employees are welcoming, patient, and kind. I also really appreciate that the cafe accepts reusable cups. That says a lot about their environmental conscious. This is actually one of the reasons I return. I do not need a discount on the coffee for using my own reusable cup, however this might incentivize others to bring their own and return. A rewards program would also be good. Ambiance: Plenty of seating -- plenty. There is a bus inside with plants for sale. There are a lot of retro and vintage trinkets with a hint of plants and space. I enjoy that there are couches as well as tables and chairs. There are outlets available but I think there could be more. One reason why I do not tend to work here though is because it gets so hot there in the summer. They do have fans but, I like a nice cool environment. There is plenty of parking as well. (I do not have pics of my drinks because I use my reusable purple hydroflask tumbler so, not much to show)
