I have been meaning to check out this place. It did not disappoint. From the moment you walk into this quant Coffee and Dessert bar, you are greeted with a glass display of treats. I asked the worker what they recommended. I ordered a Strawberry Cheesecake Crepe and Horchata Iced coffee. Did not disappoint!!! Yum. The crepe was very filling and could have been split The coffee isn't too sweet and i was able to change the milk. The easy listening music really added to the atmosphere. I love that there is zero pressure to tip. A true rarity nowadays. I will be back to try more of their delicious treats. read more

This chocolate bar is located in the Albertsons plaza and simple to find, with ample parking. As for as ambiance I feel like all the decorations clashes together, making me unsure of the theme, thus making the place look messy in my opinion. Theres a nice screen where you can check out their menu offerings before placing an order at the register. I opted for the seasonal offering: pumpkin spiced latte. It was nice as they brought out my coffee for me while I was waiting at a table. The coffee was decent as I felt there were too much flavor profiles going on. There was a hint of something else that I quite can't put my finger on. It was also thick and syrupy--a texture I do not like. I also tried my friend's coffees and wasn't a fan as well. I stopped by The Chocolate Bar in the Albertsons shopping center in Highland to grab a coffee, but since I needed something to eat as well, I decided to try a few items. First off, the ambience is great. The café is decorated with cute French-themed touches, and it has a cozy, inviting vibe. The employees were also friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. For food, I ordered a turkey sandwich. It was good overall--more of a torta-style sandwich with flavorful ingredients, served on toasted white bread. No complaints there. Unfortunately, the coffee was a letdown. I ordered the horchata latte, but it tasted like low-quality coffee. I didn't really get any horchata flavor--more like a watered-down vanilla/cinnamon latte. For dessert, I tried the key lime tart. It wasn't very sweet, and the crust was extremely dry. Considering it was almost $10 for a fairly small tart, it didn't feel worth the price. Speaking of price, the overall cost felt overpriced for what you get. I paid around $30 for a sandwich, coffee, and tart, which felt steep given the quality of the items I tried. Service timing was another issue. A group came in after me, and my order wasn't started until after they took everyone else's order. Normally this wouldn't bother me, but I was in a bit of a hurry, and it ended up holding me up longer than expected. That said, it does seem like crepes are their main specialty, and judging by other reviews, those might be worth trying. If you're going specifically for crepes, it may still be worth a visit. My sister in law and I ordered churro frappes that we're okay. They had A LOT of cinnamon mixed in that it was hard to taste the coffee. There was also a lot of flavored syrup at the bottom that made the drink overly sweet, which didn't help the loss of the coffee flavor. The place was really cute with good decor. But there were a couple of dirty tables. The service was fast but it looked like one lady all by herself. Elis/ Elise from Cuba ( sorry if I spelled your name wrong) brought our crepes and frappe out to us, then she let us know that she was going to keep my tiramisu cold until we're ready to go. She seen we were almost done and she brought out my tiramisu. I loved that she paid attention to detail. Knowing that warmth/ heat would make the tiramisu watery she wanted to make sure it stood cool while we enjoyed our crepes there. I needed a place to study for finals and it seems I've found a really nice spot. I ordered the Avocado Toast, Champurrado, and Chocolate truffle cheesecake. All of the dishes were absolutely delicious! All the food came out fairly quickly and the staff was super nice! I found this place on Yelp and we checked it out today and it was great! We got 2 crepes and they were delicious, filled with strawberries and bananas. They had plenty of other desserts that looked good and a pretty big menu too. The service was great, they had a good seating area where we could enjoy the desserts. I would definitely recommend checking out this local desserts shop. They need a better sign, I've passed by this place so many times and I didn't know it was a dessert place until it popped up online. It was also hard to find when we were looking for it. Such a cute little bakery and much needed in the area! It's a bit small inside but that's okay, it adds to the welcoming, neighborhood vibe. I wanted to try the agua frescas but I didn't see any displayed on their wall menu. I tried the caramel fudge cheese cake and it was the perfect size with just enough flavor, not too sweet. Looks like this is a family owned business and the father-son duo were both very nice and well mannered, you don't see that too much at restaurants any more. First time going here! My girlfriend was craving brownies and found this small little place tucked in highland! It was very pink and cute inside stuffed with sweet treats! The people who worked there were very nice and helpful! Thursday is brownies day which was great. They have a few tables and chairs for people to lounge at and study. I picked up both chocolate chip and cheesecake brownies and they are a 10/10! Was not too sweet but sweet enough to take a few bites and more! Definitely recommend for sweet tooth's :) read more

We have visited the Ontario chocolate bar and ordered a aguachelada de sandía and let me tell you, it was amazing. We live in Highland so decided to order the same drink there a few weeks after visiting the Ontario location and let me tell you the drink was a disappointment. It tasted like tapatío, couldn't drink it, it was horrible. I think the owner should keep both business consistent. read more

A MUST GO PLACE! Recently went with a friend it was our 1st time here and the sweet lady gave us both a sample of their cafe de olla. Which was pretty good, I ended up ordering the Three Fruit Crepe with an Horchata Latte while my friend got a torta. The latte was extremely delicious it honestly smelled so wonderful and it was perfect for the weather. The crepe satisfied my craving for fruit and was actually filled in nicely. The interior was very cute they decorated for Christmas they have many baked good displayed. Although I did not buy one I will comeback in the future to try their cheesecake which they had so many flavors. The lady who took our order was very nice to the both us. Disgusting. There's literally no Turkey on my sandwich. No cheese. It's just lettuce and tomato. I spent 25$ in this place for a coffee, sandwich and a piece of cake. A homeless man comes in harassing me and my 5 year old daughter. He was begging for money. And instead of asking the man to leave, the worker just gives him free food and drinks. The crepe is overpriced but delicious. The turkey sandwich was really good. A good portion of turkey on brioche bread with just the right amount of kick from the pickled jalapeños. Let me just start off by saying all the food we got was amazing!! We got two crepes, a Chicken torta, cheesecake and a lemonade. I would go back for the food, but they have a few kinks to workout. We waited in line to order which took forever due to the way the menu is laid out. They have laminated menus at the register, but you wait in a line just to get to them. Once you get the menu, it gets more confusing. Each of my kids grabbed a menu, but the all have different items, example, one had drinks, one had crepes. They need to make a single menu with all the items. Once you order you sit down and the food is brought to you. The problem is that you pay when you are done eating. Doesn't sound bad, but I had to wait in-line for 15 minutes just to pay because they had a large line of people ordering. Again the food was amazing so we will be back, but I will pay when I order. They also brought us out dirty silverware, but that can happen anywhere. I also was weirded out by the reusable metal straw. Maybe it's just me, but I thought that was odd. read more
