Despite there being some construction in the shopping center, there was a steady flow of customers during our short visit on a weekday morning. The place was incredibly well decorated throughout with seasonal Halloween decor. The music selection was upbeat, but some of the songs were club music which felt a bit out of place for so early in the morning. They have some creative specialty caffeinated drinks, and they also offer smoothies, beer, wine, and cocktails, as well as a limited selection of food and dessert options. I went with an Aloha latte (4.5/5) which contains a combination of coconut, vanilla, and mocha flavors. It was unique and delicious without any bitter taste. They had coconut cake (3.5/5) on offer, and I had to get a slice since I hadn't had coconut cake in almost 2 years. It was tasty and wasn't too sweet, but wasn't overly moist, which gave me the impression that it had been made several days prior, and resulted in it drying out a little. It was the only place I visited in Hilton Head over the course of several days that passed on a credit card surcharge to customers. If you don't mind that, I'd suggest trying out Carolina Coffee & Crumbs if you're looking to try out a local coffee shop in the Coligny Beach area of Hilton Head.

The owner (based on my best guess) pulled around in her car and offered to grab me something because, in her words, disappointment overtook my face when the door didn't open. To be fair, I was bummed I was late, but it reminded me that businesses and interactions like this is what makes Hilton Head so special. I then sat on their covered deck, drank my iced coffee and ate my delicious donut as I typed this review. They have forever gained by loyalty.

What made the experience even worse was having two young children with us who were completely melting down by the end because everything took so long. A restaurant should know better than to leave families sitting that long with no urgency, no communication, and no follow-up. What should have been a simple breakfast turned into a two-hour waste of time with bad service, poorly prepared food, and zero attention to detail. There is no excuse for this level of incompetence. I would absolutely not recommend this place.

I understand the higher prices for touristy attractions but this was brutal. The coffee was okay. No real complaints. 7/10 The muffin - this was not good, not super moist, even tasted a little old. The crumb on top typically the best part wasn't good. The cinnamon/pecan roll - yeah this was average. the inside was good but the outer portions had no flavor. Overall, this place wasn't great especially for the price. We also ordered an almond croissant which was very good! I highly recommend getting it warmed up! The yogurt parfait was good once again, but had very little granola this time, unlike the first time I ordered. Unfortunately, they were out of sourdough so my daughter ordered the breakfast sandwich with a GF bagel instead (the only alternate option). She said it was just okay, but definitely had too much bread and wasn't super flavorful. We'll visit again, but will keep trying new things until we find our favorites (already found the almond croissant though)!

Upon entrance, I was impressed with the displays and interior decoration. The pastries looked incredible and so tempting. The staff was also quick to provide assistance in picking out what we wanted. The barista was very kind in providing coffee suggestions and I ended going with a banana latte which was a special flavor they had. The coffee was delicious and kept me going for a few hours. The only bad thing about my experience in retrospect is I didn't opt to get any of the delicious looking pastries.
