There is no shortage of Starbucks and there are two near the Marriott here in Waikiki, one inside and one just on the outside of the property. Smart move as they both can get very busy, especially when big events are happening. This location is the outside one, near the ocean and bit less busy I believe as it is a bit of a walk. But as always, serve up great coffee, friendly staff and they do a good job getting people's orders out quickly with a smile. I do highly recommend ordering on the app in advance to save the additional wait time. You can order from your room and then walk down to walk right in and grab your order and go. They have limited seating inside, this location is a bit small, they do have outdoor seating as well, which is great to grab a drink or snack, etc. while getting ocean breezes. I always get a nonfat latte, no matter the location I go to, always the same and consistent and great. Enjoy! read more

My go-to Starbucks location! The staffs here are friendly so far, or maybe I was just lucky. I rarely buy drinks at Starbucks but when I do it's gonna be Matcha party drink! Lol. Or some other cold decaffeinated refreshment. Always fun and yum paired with ham Swiss croissant or the spinach feta & egg white wrap - great combo ever! There are available chairs and tables to use outside if you decided to chill for a while. They got lotsa tumblers to purchase as well in different colors and styles. Closest starbucks where I live in and I must say, they did pretty good job on this location. Coz after every order I went straight to the beach park with my coffee and breakfast sandwich. Sweet! Service is good and they are most of the time busy serving their customers which mostly are tourists. You can buy their schwags in here too which is pricey coz it's Waikiki. Also, they have tables and chairs outside if you want to chill out while finishing your breakfast. Ambiance is good and can be crowded. People just come & go so if you are here to do some work maybe it's better to just stay in your hotel room. This was a really great location for us! And yet, it is open. I see it was marked as closed, but it is open daily. We stayed across the street and thank goodness there was a Starbucks nearby. While I did not come here too often since we did get some good coffee at the hotel, we had some promos and a birthday drink we wanted to retrieve. In the past, not all Starbucks at hotels allowed for the promos and coupons, but luckily this one did. First, I loved all of the specialty Hawaii merch, including the prickly pineapple water bottle, and the container with the fun umbrella. They also carried the must-have Hawaii mugs that people love to collect. When ordering, they did make a mistake on the promo price, but the barista was very kind and was able to fix the error quickly. The line gets long here, but goes really quickly. Since it is so hot, we purchases the strawberry acai refresher, the pineapple lemonade blended, and the peach green tea lemonade to stay more hydrated. There are some great places to sit and relax in the lobby as well as a giant Aloha sign for pictures. Plus there is a nice short cut to the beach where you can relax with your drink before catching some waves. read more

As of this writing, due to lack of business at certain locations, they've been temporarily closed. I always look forward to an iced tea and ice water for the pup on our long weekend walks. Since our favorite one was closed, we ordered from this and had a nice experience. There are two Starbucks in the Marriott, one in the lobby, and this one on street level. It's right around the corner from Kalakaua, easy to spot with a sign out front. It's next to Aracino, and if dine-in was permitted, they have around four outdoor umbrella tables with a partial view of the ocean. The store itself is small, basically a little loop to order on the right, pick up on the left, and exit. Ordering ahead on the app, proceed to the left to grab your stuff. The staff on our visit was very friendly and talkative, drinks ready quickly. I would visit this one again. read more

One of two Starbucks located at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. This made it difficult to use mobile ordering, since it was difficult to distinguish which location is which. According to most of the pictures, this is the one located in the lobby, situated toward the back near the bus depot. I would use this Starbucks when I was waiting for a shuttle, van, or bus to whisk me away to an adventure. I found this Starbucks to be understaffed and running on Hawaiian time when I would be in a hurry. I don't know if the lounge area, armchairs, and TVs are more a part of the Starbucks or the hotel, but it's where several of us sat to watch the Laker game on Christmas Day. read more

This review encompasses two back-to-back visits over two consecutive days. 12/13: Stopped into this location as it was convenient to the hotel I was staying in for a couple of nights as a staycation. There were no other customers in the store at the time, I had the pleasure of being served by Jessi. After ordering my breakfast sandwich and frappuccino, I noticed the Hawaii exclusive mugs in stock. I took a few minutes to decide on which to buy as a gift for a friend, once decided, Jessi quickly rang me up and brought over my order that had been made while I was choosing. 5/5 experience all around. 12/14: With such a pleasant and smooth encounter the day before, it was a no brainer to make another stop into this Starbucks. Pretty much a complete opposite upon entry, there were 3 customers in line, and another person following right behind me. Jessi was busy behind the bar with at least 10 cups in queue, and another barista emerged from the back room after 3-4 minutes. She announced to the first two in line that they were out of stock of whatever they were seeking. Once at the register, I ordered the same items as the previous day, with the addition of a single espresso shot added to the frappuccino. I specified to the barista taking my order that I would like to redeem 25 stars for the espresso shot, she seemed to understand. Unfortunately, she redeemed 150 stars for the frappuccino. It was an instant disappointment to say the least. I didn't want to make a big fuss, so took my receipt and took a seat. I then noticed that there were at least 6-8 completed drinks on the counter with more in queue, it then hit me that there was a HUGE order, thus the long wait. Wasn't sure if Jessi remembered me from the day before, but when she had a quick second I asked if they were able to do star refunds in store, alas, not doable. She asked me what the issue was, which I told her. She suggested that I call customer service to sort it out. I was able to make the call to customer service and get the stars refunded for the drink (minus the 25 for the espresso shot) before my order was ready. 3/5 for this visit read more

The baristas here DO NOT KNOW how to make a iced grande quad shot latte. The milk ratio to espresso is 2:1. The taste of espresso is minimal. The only barista I commend is RACHEL. She is the only 1 to get the milk to espresso ratio correct. She makes the latte like Seattle Starbucks baristas do. read more

I've been meaning to do this for a while so now is the time. This is the first ever starbucks that I've been to that actually spelled my name right. I'm from SoCal and went on a Hawaii trip with the marching and from my high school this past April. On the last day of the trip my friends and I wanted to get something before we left so we went to this starbucks. This place had a really friendly barista and the place had an overall chill atmosphere. Now you'd think that my name wouldn't get misspelled because it's such a simple name and I always try to pronounce it as Alan, but SoCal starbucks begs to differ. I've gotten, Allen, Alin, Alvin, Alen, Ellen, etc. This was the first ever starbucks where my name was spelled correctly. I was so ecstatic that I got lost in my happiness and lost track of time, so I had to run back to the hotel room to finish packing my luggage and i ended up leaving without saying thanks. So, to the barista in this photo (I took a picture of my friend ordering lol), I thank you for being the first starbucks employee to spell my name correctly. Also thank you for asking to warm up my coffee cake, a lot of people forget. Anyway, I will forever treasure this starbucks experience and sticker. I've been staying in Waikiki for over a month, and this is the closest Starbucks to my place. While we do like the employees, all very nice and welcoming, we've had a poor experience at this location. Multiple times, we've received our drinks incorrectly, or poor tasting. In addition, more than once, or drinks have been made and are not full, see picture. While Starbucks is always my go-to coffee shop because it is always consist and and yummy, this location has not met the standard. While I understand it can be busy which is stressful, it is sad to see the quality of the product lack. Moving forward, I will chose a different Starbucks whenever possible. read more

Staff is friendly but when you get a customer ahead of you who orders a bunch of food and coffee and realizes he doesn't have enough money and then proceeds to change and delete some of his order to lessen the cost and there is only one cashier, I ended up waiting a long time. On top of that, I tried to use my reward points and the cashier didn't know how to do it correctly and had to cancel the transaction after help from a co worker and do it over again. She apologized multiple times which was fine, but how about treating me to a free cup of coffee instead? The store is clean but small. Worst service i've ever had. When I walked in and it was empty I wasn't sure if they were closed and so i asked if i could order and the barista said nothing. i began to order and i ordered one size and she gave me a smaller size and when i told her it was the wrong size she said i didn't order the size that i ordered and made no attempt to make the size i ordered. Rude, unfriendly, and subpar to any starbucks. i understand if you're busy and you can't be friendly or get the order right because you are busy but if i'm the only one in the place then that's just poor customer service and you probably need to find a different job. There are many starbucks on this street, i'll make sure i never come back to this one and recommend nobody go to this one. read more

There are two Starbucks in the Marriott, not sure which one this is but I'm reviewing the indoor location by the lobby. Great spot! It's a great way to start our day and we appreciate the hard-working staff. The chairs are cool there. Also, the service is A+. Although there are a few other Starbucks locations nearby, we prefer this one because it's located in the hotel with plenty of seating to relax for a little. Sometimes they get busy, however the baristas are great. We like Althea, she's awesome with lots of aloha! The crew always looks out to make sure our drink is perfect here, we've tried new things they suggest and of course on occasion if we ever don't like something, they always figure out how to fix it or make us a new drink. I'm completely lost on the negative reviews, here, I've never seen someone here that wasn't totally happy. Great aloha energy throughout this hotel, cool staff and happy baristas and plenty of happy tourists either just arriving or gearing up for a fun day on Oahu. We support both Starbucks and other local coffee shops as well, however of all of the Starbucks on this island, the Waikiki Marriott lobby location is #1 for sure! read more
