It's challenging... Having lunch plans in Waikiki I thought that I'd be a great chance to complete my challenge that Starbucks offers through their app for bonus stars which can be use for free food, drinks and even merchandise. I was just one visit away from achieving this and to save time as this Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center location is very close to my lunch plans worked out perfectly. Knowing this I had prepared myself by bringing my own personal cup which does give you bonus stars and ten cents discount as well and keeps my drink from spilling for easy transport. This location is quite small...so small that there's seating is available but just outside but I was lucky to have found a seat for just a moment but know that the staff is friendly and efficient so that I got my challenge done and got on my way. Thank you!

I've been to this location a few times. The baristas are always friendly. This is at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. If you're kama'aina and spend $10 at this shopping center you can get three hours of free parking. Take your receipt to the customer service center and they will validate your parking for you. They serve all the same items as the other Starbucks. I was in here around Christmas and brought my reusable red cup. The cashier asked where I got my cup as they were out as soon as they opened. I asked if I could do a grande frappe in my reusable red cup and the manager on duty said I absolutely could. That's what I ordered along with a hot latte. They didn't have too many different varieties of cups. They mostly had the Hawaii themed ones for the tourists.

look at this it's basically milk with a side of matcha. It tasted like straight milk. Fix the ratio.

I've been coming here for a few days straight. Staff are so welcoming. Wait time is always quick & easy.

The food is better than I would think, the servers take like 5minutes per order. And the one bad thing was they didn't give me light ice at all!

Talk about a store that has its act together! Wow! We don't have any Starbucks in California like this one. Drinks are ready in about three minutes. Even though it's a small store in a crazy busy area, it's the model of efficiency. Everything is done right every single time... And fast! Even mobile orders! Staff truly has the aloha spirit! Mahalo!

Great customer service! Due to Covid wearing a mask is required upon entering. Place and pay for your order at the counter. Then go outside if busy and wait for your name to be called. Love coming to this small Starbucks location.

I'm from Seattle so have certain expectations of Starbucks. When I order something there, I expect consistency and quality. I was surprised by my experience at this location. The place was hopping but they should be used to it in the morning. The drink was wrong but the good news is they were happy to remake it. The quality control at this lication had some challenges but their second attempt was much better. It might have just been an instance of the staff being in autopilot dealing with the volume in this tiny store but I did appreciate the excellent customer service acknowledging the error and making it right.

Our hotel was down the street so this was the most convenient coffee shop to us. I had to order with the app because every morning it was super busy here with many customers waiting outside. I had to check my two drinks because they would mess up the order one way or another. They usually would run out of oat milk and not add any alternative so I had request almond or regular half & half. Despite the drawbacks they tried their best due to the high request for caffeine.

This might be one of the only places in Waikiki open at 4 AM which is perfect if you've just arrived the night before from the East Coast. The inside of the shop feels homey. They have a display case full of pastries along with additional baked goods set out nearby. For my coffee on this morning I decided to go with a coconut latte and then ordered a blueberry malasada while my father went with a custard-filled one. At Maleko, the malasadas are pre-made but not filled until you order which I think is a smart move. I first tried my blueberry malasada and thought it was good. The dough was light and fluffy and the filling had a great flavor. As for my coffee, I have to agree with other reviews that the syrup made it overly sweet. I still drank it, but I definitely would have preferred something less sweet. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again for the malasadas. As for the coffee, I would probably pass unless you prefer your drinks on the sweeter side.

It was less than three dollars including tax, so definitely affordable. The guava filling was great, but the donut itself was kind of bland. If it weren't so cheap, I would have given it three stars. But it was a good deal and I might go back.

The Lava Mocha is hands down my favorite mocha I've ever had. Rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. It was the reason I came back and waited! Mauna Kea Iced Coffee is my FAVORITE coffee of all time. I will be drooling over this coffee until I return. It has coffee, sea salt caramel, a scoop of ice cream, and black sea salt. Already it sounds delicious and it was. I finished my drink within 5 minutes. I didn't order any food this time, but everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. The menu is extensive with plenty of options, making it a great place for brunch whether you're craving something sweet or savory. The café also has a small section selling Island Vintage merchandise, which is fun to browse while you're waiting. If you choose to sit outside, don't be surprised if a few birds decide to join you for breakfast and they're regulars too.. Overall, despite the longer wait for drinks, the quality of the coffee, inviting atmosphere, and tempting menu make this a spot I'd happily visit again.

This is the only standing Kulu Kulu and I hope this place does not close, or if it does relocate, come closer to Central Oahu where the rent is cheaper, haha (hint). This location is on the outer edges of Waikiki on Hobron Lane in Eaton Square. I rarely venture to Waikiki, and if I do make the dreaded drive to "town", this place and Kan Sushi will be the only regular places where I will make my stop(s), because its so worth it. I've had a long-standing love-affair with Kulu Kulu from the Shirokiya Food Court location with it's waffle bears and Hello Kitty waffles, the takeout Nama Chocolate cups stocked at Mitsuwa Marketplace and now here, in town. The Ube Coconut Mousse $6.95 blew our minds, it was THE best tasting thing, ever. Both the ube and the coconut were not cloying, and as with all of their treats, not overly sweet either. That's why I love Japanese pastries, they get the sweetness just perfect and I have no idea how they mastermind that ratio! Strawberry Panna Cotta $5.95 was creamy, flavorful, delicious and surprisingly light and refreshing for such a creamy dessert. I normally don't get this kind of combination of flavors, and it tasted like something you'd get in a Michellin-rated establishment. Looking back at the photos, I see vanilla bean seeds in the panna cotta, so every loving detail and nuance shows through with each mouthful. Nama Chocolate $5.75 is my go-to chocolate LOVE. It's cut into cool creamy semi-sweet squares dusted with cocoa and it melts in your mouth! This is my favorite of all things that Kulu Kulu makes. I actually enjoy this better than the famous Royce Chocolates from Japan. We ordered another seasonal Strawberry dessert slice cake but it was eaten before I could review (and/or taste it); I've heard it was very very delicious. This place is so good that I plan to bring my friends who will be visiting from Virginia here to try their pastries. I also plan to support this business for as long as I can and make more frequent trips to town just to get these amazing desserts.
