This place popped up and one of my coworkers also recommended it. After trying out a few different drinks on the menu, I've found my go-to drinks: iced Hawaiian latte with oat milk on hot days and a hot mocha when the weather is slightly cooler. I subtracted one star because the prices are on the higher end and I wish they stay open later. They close at 1:30pm but I normally don't get my afternoon coffee until 2pm to combat my afternoon slump. Also, if you're a fan of frappés, this is not the place for you. They have 3 blended drinks on the menu but it's not their specialty. Otherwise, I really do adore this place. The baristas know their stuff and are great at making recommendations based on your preferences.

(It's on the corner of University Avenue and Metcalf Street.) Since metered street parking is free on a Sunday, I parked across the street (on Metcalf) where there's a row of stalls... easy! The friendly staff were pleasant and helpful! They answered all of my questions and made great suggestions! I ordered an Avocado Toast without spicy sauce... and a Kukui Latte with soy milk. I liked both! The toast had some garlic and butter flavoring on the multi-grain toast. It was simple, healthy, and filling! The Kukui Latte was sweetened just right! The macadamia and coconut flavors were tasty! This is a wonderful study/meeting/work spot that Irene discovered! It's spacious, clean, and bright! The restroom is modern, safe and comfortable! We'll be back!

POB2 is on the Mountainside of Queen's Hospital and POB1. The building has their own parking structure but I DON'T think they validate parking as well as the Pharmacy. Parking with your doctors' validation is $1 / half hr otherwise it's $2/ half hr! Its nice that finally POB2 has their own little cafe within their building so you won't have to walk across the street to the POB1 "Cafe Queen's" on the 3rd floor street level. The cafe offers coffee, tea, blended fruit and coffee drinks, some breakfast items, cup of fruit, yogurt parfait, Pizza and Sandwiches and more. It's nice that they open early since the Pharmacy store opens later at 8:30am. I always look forward going to my doctors appointments at POB2 so I can get my favorite grilled cheese sandwich with pesto! It's so yummy with the pesto They have other delicious sandwich melt but the grilled cheese is sooooo good and is less than $5! Make your trip worthwhile and visit the pharmacy store to get some Sassy sweets cookies or other local treats! It's on same level passed the elevators. Oh if you're willing to walk across the street the POB1 cafe, hopefully still serves their açaí bowls and those delicious tapioca and dessert in the cup! I absolutely love that Surfers Coffee is now in Kaka'ako though it's very different from their Wahiawa location which I think it's great since it shares its spot with The Vintage Hawaii. Located in Kaka'ako Business Center that has a few customer parking stalls painted in yellow lines which always appreciated especially in this part of Kaka'ako sometimes is difficult to find. Walking in I didn't know what to expect and was just so thrilled to see how clean and spacious it was along with several types of seating in a separate area from the coffee bar which is so bright and welcoming with various merchandise and menus including their "underground drink menu" featuring various crafted coffees but they had me at "Nutella Mocha" which is dark mocha latte with Nutella...ya that was hard to resist and loved it was simple. The staff is very awesome and friendly as I asked various questions where they filled in information that there's also a pottery area and that classes will be available soon these kind of craftiness I do love in a place that shares its passion for the community including collecting school supplies is so heartwarming.
