Decided at the last minute to stop here for coffee. I saw this place before when I had a doctor's appointment in the same building. Coral Cafe is a cute little coffee shop on the corner right in between InVision Imaging and Junpuu. At the time I visited, there was one person managing everything (food, sales, etc.). She seems like a very friendly person and handles the drinks/food very delicately. The prices are a little higher than similar cafes in Honolulu, but keep in mind that this is a local small business. This is more of a quick grab-and-go kind of spot, especially considering that there's only one table with two chairs available. Giving you the morning perk... Located in the Medical Arts Bldg right in between Junpuu and InVision, Coral Cafe is a tiny kiosk and it's not just the cheesy decor that will get your attention but their coffee is a great smooth start to your day...literally. After dropping off mom at her early 6:45 morning appointment at InVision and Yelp check the time it opens 7am but noticed she was already servicing several folks 15 minutes early that's a wonderful sight to see. Not the usual coffee drinker but did notice they have several different sips though several seems to be Mocha items wasn't in the mood for syrup type of drinks decided on a simple "Honey Latte" and was delighted how fast it was though at $7.50 was harsh but it was a lovely and smooth drink. One thing that I wouldn't recommend is their "Turkey & Swiss Toasted Sandwich" with mustard which is exactly that and nothing else and at $8 this one really hurts, placed in a brown bag unwrapped and with some trifold towels...ewww! The saddest thing is that I have bread and deli meat at home and could've done this but was hoping this would be something a bit more. LIke one of their signs that read "Nothing Makes Sense Before Coffee" is true but know that I did love their coffee and now that I'm awake and aware things are so much more better. Came here for the first time. I was taking my son to his dentist appointment and found this little cafe within the building right in front of Junpuu. Anyways, I ordered an iced Thai latte and it was pretty delicious. They also sale other drinks and some food items. The female staff member there was friendly and fast. I got my drink in about 3mins or less. Street parking is available and there is parking in the building, but you have to pay depending on how long you stay there. read more

Coral Café is now in my work neighborhood, tucked inside of the Medical Arts building. For lunch I had the turkey and swiss panini with an iced peppermint mocha. The panini was pressed with muscle and came with a slight crisp to it. What may seem like a simple sandwich to make is often done wrong, Coral Café nails it with a panini that is light, super flavorful and well balanced, pretty much a perfect panini. I'm a pretty traditional coffee drinker and I especially love the taste of coffee so the iced peppermint mocha was outside of my comfort zone. I loved that the iced peppermint mocha still had a very bold espresso taste(which is freshly pressed) but came with a slightly sweet peppermint sidekick. Maybe my experience was an off day. We went here for the first time a few months ago. The coffee was fine, nothing bad but not amazing either. My husband and I ordered bagels with cream cheese and we received them cold with a very scant amount of cream cheese. The lady working didn't seem happy to be there and she wasn't wearing a mask either. This struck me as odd since the cafe is located in a building with numerous medical offices. Considering there are many other cafes in the area I don't think I'll be returning to this one. read more

She was busy talking story and both her and the friend would stare and us and "eye us up" as we were trying to look what to order on her menu. Look lady you are no better than us just because you own a coffee kiosk. Just not approachable at all. The friend just stood there in the way of counter and coffee lady just had such a sassy tone. Came here due to the high ratings but was disappointed due to the coffee being overpriced and super bland. I'm quite positive they just took some instant coffee powder mix and serve it to you. Seating was very limited. There was only one table and that seat was occupied so we couldn't sit down. DON'T TRUST THE REVIEWS. You're better off going to Starbucks than this place. Edit: I was verbally harassed by some users (or bots? Their English is pretty weak) in defense of this cafe after posting this review despite the fact that I never used inflammatory language in my review. I was walking over to the Blaisdell box office to purchase Bon Jovi tickets:) and while waiting to cross King Street, I saw this small flyer taped to the pole - Coral Cafe serving coffee and sandwiches, reallly? Medical Arts Building? Hmmmm, will have to stop by and I did...and I am glad I did. Working in this area, you quickly get tired of the same old eateries: Subway, Safeway, Auntie Pasto's, McDonalds, etc. Though this is not an ideal place for a cafe, it should get additional traffic from lunch goers next door and Goodwill employees - thanks to me:) So far, good coffee and grilled cheese sandwiches. And she carries my favorite vitamin water! What makes me come back is Rebecca-owner and operator. She is very friendly and one of the nicest people I have come across. The cafe opened in November so it is fairly new. I support local small businesses and will continue to visit Coral Cafe. Exercise+good drinks/munchies+ excellent customer service = a cafe worth visiting. I expect her business to expand. read more

I recently started a new job and am completely thrown off as my normal coffee stops are nowhere along my route. I'm still trying to figure it out but on one of my training days I had time to walk a bit further and using handy dandy Yelp & reading some excellent reviews I found Coral Cafe. This place is an adorable little coffee and bites kiosk located on the first floor in the Medical Arts Building. The menu had a lot of drink options and some limited bites like bagels, simple paninis, muffins & cookies and some healthy energy bites/oatcakes made locally. I decided to try the Mac nut mocha add a shot and a bagel with cream cheese. Bagels that day were strawberry or blueberry. The woman Rebecca behind the counter was super friendly and sweet. She introduced herself, talked to me about my day & what brought me in and explained how she brews her espresso so my drink would be to my liking. I'm happy to hear she likes it stronger, less sweet which is my style - she also brewed an extremely smooth brew. It wasn't bitter at all; it was kind of magical. Just the right amount of syrups to taste the flavors without over doing it. It was a pretty good drink! I do wish there were various sizes though, I typically order 5/6 shots over ice often so the one size wasn't my cup of tea. Plus it was a little pricey for the size. The bagels are all toasted and you get a container of cream cheese on the side. My bagel was meh, your typical store bought packaged bagel toasted off. I didn't hate it but it again felt pricey at $3.00. Overall, I enjoyed my coffee and meeting Becca. Her customer service was on point and she multi tasked very well. She had a zen quality about her. Her kiosk reminds me of the coffee kiosks at the train stations in NY. I'll be back when I'm in the area. The honey latte sounded unique and I feel I must try. Maybe add a $1 off Yelp check in?!? I came to Coral Cafe originally because I heard it had the best mocha ever but I stay because of the SUPER friendly service. Rebecca is easy to talk to and makes the place feel like a neighborhood cafe, which is always one of the best things about local businesses. But honestly, when it comes to the mocha, there are so many delicious varieties to try! Me, I'm a mint man, I love Andes chocolate, mint ice cream, and I look forward to St. Patricks day so I can get a mint shake at McDonalds. So I especially love the peppermint mocha and Irish creme mocha here. In addition, there's a zebra (white and dark) chocolate mocha and a thai mocha that I order if I'm not getting something with mint. And if that's still not enough, you can try some of Coral Specials, such as the Honey Latte or Candy Cane Latte. Yups, I'm a big fan of Coral Cafe and I hope you become one too. I have a $1 off discount card that I'll leave at the place so you guys can try it too. read more

Cute name and cute kiosk in the medical / office building on the corner across Blaisdel and never to the new Longs on King Street. The owner is nice and seems friendly from our quick exchange. The iced tea is quite literally a tea bag of your choice (some Bigelow and some Tazo tea bags-- Earl Grey, Passion, Green...) quick brewed on the spot (2min? I did appreciate the quick turn around but would have waited for a stronger cup of tea or would perhaps have enjoyed two tea bags' strength but maybe that's just me). Since I drink a lot of tea, I can't say this was the best $2.5 cup but it was good for a quick cold drink if you're in the plaza. May try coffee next time based on reviews. I like the idea of the island's 'best espresso' as fellow Yelper Jon K. says and am looking forward to finding another delicious coffee spot. :) read more

Coral Cafe is a hidden gem off King Street in Honolulu. I ended up inside the medical building where it's located in while looking for directions to a nearby shop. I was in need for my caffeine fix and had the BEST Honey Latte ever. Getting lost ended up being worth the stop. Next time I'm in town I'll have to grab another Latte and a panini. I notice a few people eating paninis (in the limited seating) but it's a perfect place for grab and go food/coffee drinks! read more

This is one of my favorite places for coffee and I think this Coral Cafe has some of the best coffee on the island. I'm not a coffee connoisseur but I drink my coffee black so it's easier to tell when the coffee is fresh and good. Another good drink I like from here is the dirty chai. This is a great little gem in our area! Great to be able to get great espresso drinks within walking distances. Becca is always so sweet and even though I'm not in the office regularly she still remembers my drink! This is one of the few things I miss about working in the office! Must Order: mocha It took us an extra lap around the block to find it but the best way to describe it's location is that it's on the corner of King and Victoria, in the same building as Le Guignol the french restaurant on that corner. Everyone's right, the mocha here is great! I got the zebra mocha (I can't remember if that's what its called...did I just make up that name??) which is a black & white mocha. It had the right amount of mild bitterness of the coffee and sweetness of the chocolates. I'll also remember this place because we came here just before my fiance proposed!
