I'm visiting the area from out of town and I needed to come here to pass some time in between my check out, and the check-in at my new hotel. I really needed a place just to sit with all my stuff and get online. I walked a good twenty minutes from my old hotel with my big roller bag and duffel and it was just great. Meaning none of the employees bothered me, and I was able to finish-up what I needed to do. I tried out one of their new drinks called the Dubai Chocolate Mocha and I loved it. Some of the locations where I'm from in DC are definitely more stuffy and I've noticed that often times the employees there are not so kind. I didn't get that feeling here. I waited a long while at the counter before anyone even said anything to me. This is a great Starbucks. I come here for all the variations of hot chocolate I can think of. I am a lame. I can't tolerate coffee, barely decaf. The caffeine sends me into orbit but they sell a delicious hot cocoa and I order mine extra hot. I took one star off because they are always steady and the crowd begs for another staff member. They can afford it to move the crowd along. Have someone take orders, have someone make drinks, have someone fix snacks and pastries then jump on drinks when not heating food stuffs. The talkative regulars kind of hold up the line with their ramblings, it can be kind of annoying. Move them along. They lock up the bathroom so you have to ask them to open it for you. They are relatively clean and at least you know the riff raff is kept out. They have an assortment of snacks and water and juices. I'm here often, I'll be back. read more

I had some time to kill this morning before work so I decided to stop at this Starbucks. I knew there was no drive thru. At 8am, I was the 3rd person in line. However, service was slow. The cashier doubled up on duties by making my tea, getting my water, and heating up my croissant. It held the line back, which was getting pretty long. When I placed my order, I asked for honey and the cashier must've forgot so I had to go back and ask for some honey. It felt like they were understaffed for the busy morning. read more

If you don't know anything about Starbucks already, then you've probably been living under a rock. I don't need to go on about their brand, but more so this particular establishment and service. Cashiers-were very sweet and most importantly, helpful. I know nothing about coffee and you can regularly catch me questions about it. I came in, said I wanted something caramel and strong. She asked me if I wanted hot or cold; I said cold if it can be strong. She let me know that she recommends the caramel macchiato with blonde roast to give it the flavor I wanted but also ensure it was strong in caffeine. She sold me. Great customer service! Even the barista next to her casually told me it would be a 3 minute wait because they were cleaning the machine. Again, great delivery and I was fine with it. I used to love stopping at the location that's on Westheimer, close to Hwy 6, but staff and management changed to some quiet, boring individuals. When I entered this Westchase location, I immediately noticed a worker from the "other" location and I felt at home. I've been spoiled by the bright personalities greeting me at 7am in the morning. This is my favorite Starbucks location. Usually, Starbucks is a hit or a miss, but this location is pretty consistent when it comes to beverages. The majority of the staff is nice and knowledgeable. The only downside to this location is that it is smaller (and seating gets filled up quick here, but there is also outdoor seating), and there's no drive-thru. My favorite drinks to get are iced coffees and Starbucks Double Shot on Ice with cream (which is espresso with classic syrup and cream.) The barista was friendlier than other Starbucks locations I've been to. The service was fast and he even offered to heat up my cookie (which was never offered to me before). I would say that they put too much ice in my ice coffee, so be sure to say "light ice" when you order. read more

I LOVE this location of Starbucks. On my way to work I pass probably 5-7 Starbucks'. But I have only been to three of them and this one by FAR has the most fantastic service. I tend to lean toward going to the Starbucks WITHOUT a drive thru. I think that these are the best because people are less likely to go to them in the morning as to not sidetrack their commute too much. This is one of the best run locations that I've attended. The initial entry was a greeting from this higher energy gentleman with a big smile and welcoming personality. For someone who still stumbles with what he wants to order, that team and bubbly gentleman were more than ideal! Turns out, that gentleman was the supervisor/manager. I wish I remembered his name because he deserves to read this and get credit. I told him in person too. He is a light skinned tanned man who believes in making a fun environment for his team. The place was clean, organized, and speedy. It does not have a drive thru so that may be a con for some, but when you have a team with great personality, a drive thru would only hide that characteristic. read more

Only 1 cashier and 2 baristas. Still drinks took a long time. They were nice but they should be staffed in order for the coffee demand, specially in the morning. I can tell this creates a little bit of frustration in your team and it shows. I decided to come to this one because the one on Westheimer and dairy Ashford sucks! There are only so many Starbuckses that actually embrace the Starbucks Experience concept. And this one is one of them. If you wanna read about my experience here, go ahead. I'll try to keep it short(ish): One time, I went through a drive through at the Starbucks across the street from the Galleria. I had asked for 3 pumps of raspberry, but I think they put in 6 because it much too sweet. I had already driven away for 5 minutes by the time I noticed and I was very disappointed. I didn't really wanna turn around and deal with Galleria-style traffic down Westheimer so I kept driving home. When I passed this Starbucks, I decided to go in and tell them of my dilemma and see if they would correct another store's mistake. And guess what. They did with a smile on their face! That to me is deserving of 6 stars. I don't know many businesses that would accept another location's mistake and fix it themselves. In fact, I don't know any. read more

I personally am not a huge Starbucks drinker, but that's mianly because Im Canadian and am used to my Timmies! However, I have come to this location several times and must say that the coffee is usually very freshly brewed. The service can be a little quicker, I have noticed we have had to wait about 5 min when there's only a couple of people infront of us with 3 people behind the counter. They have some outside seating in addition to the inside. Note: the Outside seating overlooks the HEB parking lot, so there is alot going on. read more

They use Google wifi and I didn't stay long when everyone else had same problem with no access to wifi. I asked the workers and they played it off like it wasn't a big deal. This location is very busy in the mornings, if you order something to eat that has to be warmed up or toasted, keep an eye on whoever is working the oven. Since they're so busy, it's easy for them to forget that you are there waiting for something. The beverages are usually as good as you can get at a Starbucks. Would have given it a higher rating if I didn't have the unfortunate bathroom encounter. Bathrooms are for both men and women. When I went in, a male employee was exiting and to my dismay I saw he didn't FLUSH...!! I was horrified. No shame in his disgusting behavior, he just returned to work as if all was normal. This is my favorite Starbucks ever. I come here just about every day sometimes twice a day. I always mobile order and my drink is always ready. It's always delicious. I've been coming here for a few years and I'm really cool with the manager and all the baristas. It's always love when I walk in the door. I'm always greeted by my first name and that always makes me feel appreciated. I've never had a bad experience at this location. It's also convenient because is directly across the street from my job. There other businesses nearby but there's always parking available. I used to love my neighborhood Starbucks, but no more. You can never sit down and have coffee with a friend inside anymore, because it's filled with people on laptops, using the wifi and not buying anything. So you head outside and brave the Houston heat, where you are surrounded by "No Smoking" signs and, ironically, smokers. Starbucks facilitates this by providing an ashtray, six feet from their "no smoking" signs. This experience will assuredly be further enhanced by being panhandled you sit there sweating and trying not to inhale. read more

Thisnthe neighborhood location, in a great area, always nice employees; however the problem is the slow service. Early mornings they never have enough people working and the line & wait get long. People walk out, cancel orders, I know i have before. Then you see employees in the back or the come out and stock, but no one helps with the long wait time. This probably my only complaint..
