This is definitely our go to Starbucks near my work. It's situated in the tiny strip mall on the corner of technology and alton next to the bruggers bagel. The barrista's are always super friendly and greet you with a smile. It does get pretty busy during the typical early morning and mid-afternoon rush hours. But they do move pretty quickly so it's not a big deal. The also have a nice patio area to hangout or have a nice outdoor meeting if you need with the usual free wifi. The barrista's here do vary though however. Some make drinks much lighter or thicker then others. My typical drinks are Green Tea lemonade or Passion tea lemonade with raspberry. Sometimes it comes out really light and other times it comes out pretty strong. I guess sometimes they put water or less/more pumps then usual. My coworkers typical green tea frap also varies in quality sometimes though. Sometimes there's way too much ice so it turns out super thick while other times it turns out at the perfect ratio. The best barrista is definitely the cute little Filipino girl as she makes them the most consistently good. ;) read more

So the great things about this location are convenience (walking distance since we live in the complex nearby), the staff is always friendly and helpful, the coffee is made right every time, and the inside of the store is very clean and has a decent amount of seating options both inside and out. Bad things are that the outside area always has loud / large groups, trash bins are piled up and unusable, lines can get long and it does take a bit of time to wait for drinks, and the parking, if you drive, is pretty limited. Overall: B The things that are negative about this location are things that are really beyond their control, and the staff being so friendly makes it easy to go back! read more

This is probably my favorite Starbucks I have ever frequented. There is so much outdoor and indoor seating! A perfect place to study, read, or meet up with good company. Coffee shops on occasion lack outlets, but this one has plenty - but still remember to charge your laptop because there are a few tables that may not have one (ie like the ones in the middle of the room or outside). The baristas here are extremely friendly and I can also tell who the regulars are. Parking can be tough if you aren't a resident at the apartments (it's located in a beautiful residential area near the spectrum). There are a lot of visitor spots, but can get crowded due to the other small businesses. If you are willing to walk, you can find parking! Plus there's a park kind of thing down the street that has fountains and what not. Perfect place to study and people watch. :] read more

This is a location with hit or miss service. I visited this location 4 times during a recent vacation and twice it was extremely friendly and welcoming, twice they were not concerned about service, and could not make it more obvious that they did not want to be working. I was also disappointed with the DOGS inside this location. On my visits it was apparent that no one challenges the patrons on SERVICE ANIMALS ONLY. The health code provides an exemption for service animals for a reason, and allowing patrons to abuse this is not appropriate for a large organization. Set the example and push the abusers outside with their pets. read more

I've lived here two years and whether I order online or in person it always seems to take them an incredibly long time to make a drink. There consistently seems to be a staff member making drinks who seems unsure and is getting help from someone else. Is this the training store for all new employees? It sure seems like it. A few concerns with this particular Starbucks, one of which is about health & safety, and I hope the team can correct that soon. 1. Typically employees here are very friendly. However several times I've come in and a couple of young ladies working behind the counter have looked straight at me and then went to the back room, without acknowledging that I'm waiting to order. This has happened more than 4 times in the past two months. 2. More importantly I watched with concern as a male employee who was preparing drinks today, May 24th at 1:10 pm, wiped his nose 4 times. It wouldn't have been so bad it he had washed his hands, but he just kept on working. I watched as he put the same hands that he wiped his nose with on top of drink lids as he put the lids on drink orders. Covid aside, I don't want any employee's nasal germs on my drink lid which could potentially cause sickness. I hope that the management team can remind employees to keep their hands off their face, and certainly away from their noses, and wash their hands to prevent potential spread of germs. read more

MANAGEMENT: Used to be my favorite starbucks, but this guy with blonde hair "mike" aka massive unprecedented attitude... refuses to make my drink. I order it every time I come, just green juice blended with protein. (Standard smoothies are all sugar) Instead I got a massive dose of bad attitude that "policy does not allow this". I work near the Irvine Villages, and while the Sand Canyon store is more convenient with its drive thru, I often come here since it's slightly less crowded in the mornings. I lived in the complex for a short time and enjoyed the convenience of being within a minute's walking distance, where I could work or study outside my apartment. As a warning, big groups of families often come at nights to hang out, so it's not always quiet. But service is great, and I've even had baristas call me over to show me the designs made in my foam. Warning, though, parking at street level is limited. You may need to just drive around a few times to wait for someone to leave. The outside seating area is really nice and makes the store less crowded. read more

This is Starbucks deserves the best of praise. They have managed to work with a smile that I can see through their masks as people wait outside or inside with clearly marked tape on the floor with ID10T proof signs with all the instructions to make it an easy smooth visit. With COVID-19 patience among patrons needs to be at a premium. The team here at this Starbucks always greets you with a smile and a big wave and thank you on the way out. I love this Starbucks, tucked away in The Village Apartments, convenient for anyone driving near Irvine Spectrum or living in The Park, The Village, Centerpointe or Westview. It's an easy walk from any of the complexes. I order my coffee every morning on the Starbucks App and it's always ready and waiting for me exactly how I want it. Dude that made my coffee and my boyfriend's did a horrible job. My SF vanilla latte was sooo watered down and sweet. I absolutely love this Starbucks . It is super close to me because I live in the village and I always come here before work or school. The staff is super friendly and I never have had to wait too long for my order . The lines do get a little long if you come at the wrong time but I'm usually pretty lucky . It does get pretty crowded for seating and parking because I'm sure a lot of people come here . The outdoor area does get loud but if you come here just to get your coffee and leave you shouldn't have any Issues . read more

It's your typical Starbucks, it's a pretty decent size and they get drinks out fairly quick for how busy it gets sometimes. it's located in the nice and overpriced apartments called the Village. that makes this location not so hectic when it comes to parking. so I'm sure they figure overpriced coffee goes well with overpriced apartments! well done Irvine company! read more

This placed used to look so cozy and environment was welcoming inside. It was our usual hang out area to come grab a coffee and meet with friends or do assignments. But unfortunately just found out that they have renovated this place and looks horrible. So sad!!!! They removed comfortable sofas and big tables and now looks so ugly and one big open area. there is no dividers any more and you dont feel cozy and private. they placed uncomfortable tall stools which hurts you on every angel to sit on ( your bottom, your back etc). Maybe the reason behind it was they didn't want people be comfortable and stay for longer hours???? if thats the case they did a great job. read more

Really hate going to this Starbucks. Only go when I have to. I counted. There were 9 people back of the counter. One person taking orders at register and that same person gets the coffee. I try to bite my tongue and be patient, but far to often I find myself waiting at the pick up counter, trying to get a workers attention but rarely do they ever attempt to make eye contact. I understand it can get busy and they're trying to get orders out as quickly as possible. But when my phone order is sitting there for 5-10 mins, and I can't flag a person down to get it for me, thus resulting in lukewarm coffee and cold pastry, then I'm not a happy customer. After about the 10th time or so, I had to speak my frustrations. I hope things change. If not, I'll have to change my 2star rating to 1. Update: 07/18/16 I recommend customer service training for the closing shift. Lack of eye contact, no notice when drinks are ready, excessive side talking among workers, etc. read more

I love this Starbucks because it's literally outside my door. I don't ever have to remember what I want because unless they are new they know my order. Only thing I don't like is all the men always sitting outside it's kinda awkward especially because 1. I don't like cigarettes and 2. I am not a coffee person, but wow do i love this starbucks. Probably one of the best amenities hands down for people that live here. Just a short walk downstairs every morning before you go to work makes your day just simply Awe-Some. Staff is wonderful. I end up talking about my day more than half the time I'm there. HUGE fan of this location, but not really the coffee. When you walk in, you just feel richer and it's like this aroma of affluence has surrounded you. Away from the area where you'd order your drink, they have tables and reading chairs that are really nice and comfortable. And the interior I think is with like dark wooden furnitures; I really like it. However, I'm not a big fan of Starbucks drinks...only their willingness to give away free filtered water, and you can even get it in a large cup. I know that this starbucks is in a pretty recently built apartment complex, so it's a nice area. A pretty big rush in the morning from all the people stopping by before going to work, since there's a lot of companies surrounding this store. Very impressed by the cleanness and environment of this Starbucks. Only thing that bothers me is there outside area, where like a lot of Middle eastern people just lounge and smoke. Whoever said the best part of waking up was Folgers in your cup has never tried this Starbucks. This location definitely tops it all, there's something about getting a latte here that tastes better. They are also quick to serve, convenient especially if you're in a morning rush. It can get a little busy here, but thank goodness for mobile orders. Speaking of which, today I carelessly placed a mobile order to the wrong location (-_-") and when I arrived here, they didn't have it, which made me realize my mistake. Some of the new staff here have no idea how to make drinks and when you ask them to make the drink again, they make the same mistakes. It's as if customer service is something they do reluctantly. And who the heck decided that all of their drinks would be filled to the rim with milk? Whether you ask for a latte or a cappuccino the milk is always to the rim. Definitely one of the larger Starbucks locations. Service was quick despite it being first thing in the morning and the usual coffee rush. Seats at this location vary from plush couches and benches against the wall to your typical wooden seating for 1+1 seating arrangements. The seating arrangement outside was completely different from the majority of locations I've been to with the metal chairs and tables. This Starbucks takes it to the next level by having high end wooden patio furniture some with plush pillows others without. I have never seen so many laptops/tablets at one location, everyone working away having small company meetings and interviews. The internet speed was above average from what I'm used to working out of a Starbucks in the mornings, high DL and UL speeds despite what I would guess to be 20-30 devices connected to their network at all times. If you're someone who enjoys working out of a coffee shop, I would highly recommend trying this location. Parking can be somewhat difficult if you do not live here, it is a neighborhood of high end apartments and the location definitely has its rush hours. read more

Well damn, I love this starbucks. I love sitting outside with my drink, watching rich folks walking their nice dogs and fantasizing about living here. Inside is pretty spacious and nice too! And I've had nothing but pleasant experiences with the service here. Can't say the same for the Spectrum location where the "baristas" have to finish up their conversation, no matter how long it takes, before taking your order. Anyways, both Starbuckses (what is the plural of Starbucks anyways??) are about equal distance to where I work so I frequent this place.
