Stopped by for an afternoon pick me up and they had some new limited edition menu items I noticed. I opted for the Dry Iced Americano, which came with LOTS of ice, expresso, and caramel drizzle around the edges and topped with half and half. The drink was super good. I loved how strong the drink was (as I like my expresso drinks a bit bolder). The shop was decently busy, but the cashiers were friendly, and there are a good amount of tables to sit at and strong Wifi. Only note is that the bathrooms could've been a little cleaner as they were out of soap and tp was over the floor, but otherwise, it's a solid coffee spot to get some work done from. read more

It's a really nice place to study. Service is also kind and helpful. They recently got new furniture since the last time I visited (a few years ago) that helps with finding a place to study or catch up with friends. There are outlets that are accessible too. What a lovely little nook to stumble on!! I've been passing by The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf while running errands at Walgreens and decided to finally step in. It's exactly the old school communal vibe I miss when stepping into coffee shops. The barista who rang up my order was so lovely, my app's coupon wasn't loading properly and he took the time to show me how to bring things up on the app. Once I got my drink, I was happily on my way! This particular Coffee Bean has a great vibe and is close to great restaurants so it makes for a great stop after a nice meal. Service is fast and polite. The drinks are really made up to the highest standards at this location so you can always count on good balance in flavor. Seating is good but can get crowded with laptop surfers. read more

Honestly I go to coffee bean over Starbucks because, well it's better all in general. But mainly because consistency is more consistent here. Considering there are measurements I'm still confused as to why some days my drinks are awesome, while today and others are so bad. My order ahead coffee is watery and bland. Dear Coffee Bean, First time at this location and came up awesome. Stepped in and very cool right away so that helps the day recovery immediately. Picking out on the menu is easy and got kind people upfront who offer good suggestions when asking what is best for sweet or not sweet. Atmosphere is nice and good table ambience with good music glad they have music ballads playing softly. I hadn't been to this location in quite some time but this last visit was extremely disappointing. Despite it being the holidays, there were only three employees working. I was incredibly patient, but finally had to ask where my drink was. It was as if my drink was forgotten despite them confirming it was listed on the ordering screen for drinks that were in queue. From the time I ordered and finally got my drink, it was 28 minutes, which is unacceptable. It did seem like a lack of training. I understand having new staff, however, during the holidays and the lunch rush hours, this management team needs to revisit how they staff. read more

I actually went to the Costa Mesa coffee bean. They get fresh deliveries of their package coffee on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I purchased a bag of the Mexico, organic medium roast coffee. I also purchased the Costa Rica bag of freshly roasted coffee when I open the bags at home it almost knocked my socks off! The fresh smell of the roasted coffee was really incredible! If you go to the coffee Bean store, I believe the coffee is fresher there because they get the shipment in on Tuesdays and Thursdays After being roasted that being start aging immediately. I have found that most products from Amazon or that are in your local grocery store could be in the warehouse for up to six months until it hits the grocery store shelves. I always buy my fresh coffee at a local roaster and I enjoy fresh coffee. That is my Main thing! Has to be hot. It has to be fresh!I'll read more

My Wife has been going to this coffee bean for years. She is now at the point of never going there again. She ordered a matcha ice blended. What she got was liquid over ice. When she told the guy who made it that it was not correct he lied to her and tried to say it was the almond milk. She has ordered this same drink many, many times. The guy behind the counter (I would give his name but they don't wear name tags anymore) was and is very rude. This place has been going downhill for quite a while now. $7 for an ice blended drink and it's horrible. It doesn't look like they have a manager on duty anymore. Even though I'm not a Starbucks fan, I recommend you go there. They at least have decent customer service and care about quality. read more

Oh Coffee Bean, how I've missed you... For some reason there are no locations in Austin, TX. If you like a delicious, sweet iced latte, nothing really comes close to the Hazelnut flavor at Coffee Bean. The Cookie Butter is a strong runner up. The Mango Cold Brew Tea is fantastic if you want something refreshing. Now Coffee Bean may be my favorite coffee chain, but they are not without their faults. Here is what to avoid: - their new avo toasts. They are trying to mass produce something that cannot be mass produced. Bread is hard, avocado isn't of good ripeness. Just don't get this. - their new boba drinks. I'm a huuuge boba fan, which is why when I tell you this isn't good, it really isn't. The milk tea itself is pretty good, so no problems there. But the boba pearls themselves -awful. Generally, places that do not specialize in boba will not have good quality pearls. read more

But my friend introduced this green tea matcha drink to me at the Coffee Bean on campus at school. I stopped here when I went to Walgreens and ordered the drink I haven't had in years. Delicious. Was honestly not happy at all with the experience here this past week. I was in line for what felt like forever as the cashier was arguing with the one customer in line in front of me - not a huge deal especially since the cashier wasnt rude at all to me. But what was worse was how bad the drink was. I ordered the iced cookie butter latte and the entire drink tasted like sugar water with a tiny bit of crushed biscoff cookies. I was able to get some studying done as the place was relatively quiet and has plenty of tables but I don't plan on ordering a drink from here ever again. read more

You wouldn't expect it, but the Vietnamese Coffee is really good here. Nice balance of bitter and sweet. The chorizo burrito is also delicious but it gets sold out sometimes. The plaza is not very busy, and it's next to a lot of restaurants. There's indoor and outdoor seating, with umbrellas outside. read more

I have been a frequent customer for a number of years, but over the last couple of months, this establishment has not been what it used to be. A friendly greeting in the morning and prompt service has become quite the opposite and an uninviting place to visit. Service has become very slow with folks milling about while customers wait and when they finally take an order, they move to other things thinking that someone else is going to provide the coffee for you. The morning crew, outside of the manager and the other ladies who are excellent, is unfriendly, unprofessional, uninterested, and unconcerned about taking or getting your order. I am hopeful that whoever is in charge reviews the camera footage and assess what happens each morning. This used to be a very nice alternative to the other coffee spots, but it has become an alternative that has seen the last of my business. What a shame. read more

I initially got the Iced Gingerbread and didnt like the aftertaste as much. Then I tried the Cookie Butter and wasn't better. I recommend maybe caramel or something sweeter if preference. Came to this location for the first time. First impression was that there were a ton of people waiting for drinks to be ready. We came to the register to order and the cashier came over. We had to repeat our order to him 3 times because he was talking to other people and paying us minimal attention. It's not the funnest to have service like that because it makes you feel unimportant. This is also the first time I've come to coffee bean since their latest price increase; almost $7 now for a large ice blended. Wow. After ordering, we waited about 15 minutes for two drinks to be ready. Someone must have taken one of our drinks, the baristas said, because only 1 of them was prepared for us. So we waited longer while they made the second. I was noticing the people that were ordering at the cashier and I felt bad for a lady waiting because it took her the whole time we were waiting for our drinks to be able to even order hers, so about 15 minutes. The cashier and another customer were taking their time, but like, taking way too long in my opinion. You have someone waiting behind you; what could possibly take 15 minutes to do at a coffee bean register? The other thing to mention was the smell inside the building.. there was a homeless person sitting inside, and I do not mean to be insensitive towards that person- I am just saying, their smell was permeating in the lobby and it was sharp. I used to be a barista myself for years and our general practice was that if someone didn't have proper hygiene, they'd be asked to be outside. I guess there's no way of saying that without it sounding mean to the homeless person, but I honestly don't mean it that way.. My ice blended drink literally tasted like water and the other drink didn't taste like it normally does from other CB's- something was off. I would never come back to this location based on this experience, im sorry to say. There's just a lot of other CB's that are much, much better. read more

pros: 1) friendly and human (ie doesnt have an insufferable customer service persona on) staff that works fast and is willing to accommodate special requests or remake drinks for free if you accidentally spill it or something. good service 2) lots of outlets + wifi is reliable and fast cons: 1) drinks are all kinda meh to horrible. and overpriced 2) the music is above average loud for a coffee shop. just absolutely blaring sometimes. 3) there is a white guy and asian guy and sometimes white guy and his gf that take up a table everyday the whole time and theyve been coming here for YEARS and treat it like its their private remote office doing meetings, taking calls, etc. no matter what day i come he is here and ive witnessed him be rude many times to fellow customers. this is not ur office dude .... so annoying. read more

This is the last time I buy anything from the coffee bean Michelle the general manager is not a pet-friendly person and her store misleads people to go in with dogs because there are no signs anywhere about no dogs. We were there for 25 minutes and she asked to leave a minute after our purchase. She waited till we spent $$$ and then told us no dogs were allowed inside. No wonder Starbucks is always busy. Being my first time in, I didn't step up to the register right away. I like to look at the menu to narrow down what I'm looking for, and think of questions I might have about the menu. The signature drinks caught my eye, the young man that helped me, answered my questions and helped me decide on the honey drizzle latte, which did not disappoint.. it was sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. The vibes were there... I enjoyed the 610s and the richer as well as the lightning fixtures, the complementary water was also super cute. Brings me back to being surprised of the low rating when I saw that it was for possible health violations, almost 3 years ago... I'm able to recognize where cleanliness is an opportunity. But as far as flavor, variety of options, quality, and customer service went I would definitely suggest to anybody in the area. I also love that the same frogs are still there, from when I grew up in Irvine 100 million years ago

Drinkable but not worth coming back for. Last time I came in alone and had a Flat White that was terrible and I dumped it out. I did not have time to ask for another but I'm sure they would have remade it. Wall Writers is located in an office complex but in a good way. There is plenty of free parking and in the afternoon and on Saturdays you can park right at the entrance. The restroom is located in a separate building across the courtyard and watching people search for it can be mildly entertaining LOL It is a nice place to work with plenty of natural light and a wonderful patio for enjoying nice weather. I just wish the drinks were a little better. But because of the convenient location I will probably try it again. Maybe Ill try something iced?

A proper latte should be built with espresso first, followed by well-textured milk at the correct temperature, integrated through a controlled pour. What I received instead tasted like espresso and milk were haphazardly combined, with no structure or technique behind it. The milk itself was improperly steamed--off-temperature and leaving a sour, flat, unpleasant finish. Even after a remake, the result was just as disappointing--tepid, flavorless, and simply wrong. No body, no balance, no indication that standard preparation methods were followed. This points to a broader issue. It's not the first time I've seen staff being trained on the job and inconsistent drinks being served as-is. At this price point, that's not acceptable. Customers come here expecting a dependable experience--whether it's early morning or late afternoon--and that consistency is part of what keeps people coming back. Right now, that trust is eroding. More attention to staff training, quality control, and basic execution is needed.

The size of the drinks also makes it so worth, and they've been consistent with their drinks -- I've never been disappointed! Airoma is one of the best matchas I've tried in OC and not overhyped + is a must try! I'm looking forward to trying other drinks on the menu as well!

It is made with 2 shots of their signature espresso with a house-made horchata syrup or base, steamed or iced milk, and a dusting of cinnamon. You could taste the quality of the coffee. It was really good. The coffee was a little strong. The service was great and prices are average. I really enjoyed hanging out in their shop with friends. They have several locations.
