This Starbs is definitely a hit or miss location. For starters the drinks never are consistent. 50% of the time it won't be filled so they top your drink off with more milk than required. These drinks are expensive as it is, please make the adequate amount so I'm not drinking milk with a dash of coffee added. One day after receiving my coffee there was at least an inch gap from the top of nothing but air. I paid 5+ dollars for my coffee and I can even get a full one?? Oh yea, here comes the milk topper. I don't even get to the customer service and unfriendly greetings. Moving forward I'll drive the extra mile for food customer service and drinks. read more

Love this Starbucks. Mornings are not complete without a stop in on the way to work here. They really know how to make your day. Certainly, they do remember your name. And, they do have Starbucks reserve coffee to brew in their clover machines - one cup at a time. Seems one of the purest ways "brew" their toasty Sumatra reserve. I do appreciate the time they take to say good morning, even if I'm just running in to grab a quick cup of nitro, too. While waiting for them to finish, I enjoy spending time with my wife and chatting with her about many different subjects. The shop is clean and not too crowded the time after we dropped off the kids. A not so " merry" experience! Very rude cashier who messed up processing payment transactions. She must be having a really bad day. When I asked to correct her mistake, she gave an attitude towards me, a customer. I, the customer asked her to be more professional with her communication style. The supervisor intervene and instead of apologizing for his staff"s conduct, both task and behavior oriented skills, he proceeded to berate and harass me, the customer!! I was not belligerent nor aggressive with my communication. The supervisor currently on duty at Los Olivos Starbucks Irvine on 12/20)2021 at 4:45 pm/pst was very unprofessional and just a nasty person and should not be working or employed in a managerial or customer service capacity! He told me that I am not welcome to come back and HE doesn't need my business. Sometimes the drinks are made how you want them other times they completely leave out how you order it. And this is via mobile! Not hard to re-read what was ordered! Update: this location has now messed up my drinks every Friday for a month. I am calling corporate and when I complained today the barista gave me an attitude and made me go to the back of the line instead of correcting the drink right then and there. There's one barista at this location who has an awful attitude (I don't care for his name...but he has longer curly hair). The two times I've interacted with him, he made it seem like the simple act of ordering is such an inconvenience. What else do you have to do BUT take people's orders?! One of the times, my friend asked for a straw, and he gave her such an attitude! You probably shouldn't work at a customer service industry if you hate dealing with people!! Stopped here thinking great, before I go all the way straight to San Diego to pick-up my sailor that I'd 1. Get coffee to keep me awake on the road 2. Use the restroom since it'll be roughly about 1 hour and 41 minutes travel according to my gps. Well as my cousin and I arrived, the staff there was initially accommodating with the purchase of my drink. Then my cousin and I asked if we could use the restroom. The staff "claimed" that the restroom was going to take 10-15 min to DRY! Huh?! The LA Starbucks will whole heartedly clean the restroom and give it "only" a few minutes for the floor to dry! First the cashier who helped me said it'll be 10-15 min. So we were advised to go to Whole Foods which is another roughly 2 block & a half to Whole Foods restroom! What?! Of course I went back and I'm still being told that the restroom is drying up! This is when I finally blew up and told them that my sailor "their hero" who is currently serving our country is off for the weekend and simply just wants to come hone for just a day to be with his family! I have to drive another 2 hours from Laguna where this heartless Starbucks is located! Really?! After the fact that I've already waited by the tables inside for at least 10 minutes. In addition, I was asked to wait for another 10-15 min on top of how long I've already waited for, I was also being asked to walk over to Whole Foods?! RIDICULOUS! read more

I need to give a BIG shout out to one of their sales associates who understands the value of customer service! I had ordered the breakfast wrap with veggies to go. When I was waiting to leave after I'd gotten my coffee, I asked where the wrap was thinking she might have forgotten. She explained that it was in the oven heating not realizing I wanted it for later. She profusely apologized and said she'd take out of the oven right away. But the story continues....Rather than give me a warmed up breakfast, she offered to give me a fresh sandwich from the refrigerator for later that I could heat up. Honestly, how many people do that? I'd already left a tip before then but I just thought that was so thoughtful and way beyond what I would have expected. When I've visited there before, the sales associates have been more than courteous offering a small sample of the nitro brew before my workout at boot camp. In other words, they get what excellent customer service is about. Kudos to the manager and staff!! read more

I went to this Starbucks to use WiFi and get some work done. Ordered my usual venti coffee. Service is fast and employees are cheery. It's a little loud with the music and the people having a good time. So not the best place to concentrate. On a positive note, the interior of this Starbucks is really beautiful because it is one of the newest Starbucks built in Orange County. The restrooms are very clean, unlike other locations I have visited. Also I tried something random today that turn out to be pretty good: Blackberry hibiscus Gummy Pandas. Literally the best gummy bears I have ever had. They are gluten free and have no fructose corn syrup. So healthy as gummy bears go. That being said, I don't eat gummy bears on regular basis because they are not Dr. Food approved! :) Overall, good Starbucks! read more

I'm a big fan of the new(ish) Los Olivos shopping center, especially since it's close to the freeway exit and finally provides a Starbucks along the Irvine Center/Moulton Parkway route. There's ample parking, and the store itself is beautiful. As you can see from the pictures, it's very new and modern (yet also rustic somehow), with art on the walls and different types of seating. However, even though it's not smack dab in an area with tons of offices nearby, it still manages to be incredibly busy at times. If you come prior to 10 a.m., you will definitely want to use the Starbucks app and put a mobile order in. I came in around 8:30 and ended up leaving without ordering because the line was so long. If the weather is nice, there's plenty of seating outside, but on rainy or cold days, there may be no tables available inside because it's such a busy location. read more

This location is pretty new and design beautiful. The employees are very nice. I going a lot to this location and I can tell you that they making the drinks just in the right way. The simple answer is YES! How? Here you go: 1. Coffee. This store's Reserve and specialty beans rival even the slightly fresher Kean and Portola roasts. The days of just Pike or Blonde from a brewed barrel are over! 2. Brewing. Long a weakness in my book, the new Clover Machine and Process has catapulted certain Starbucks into OC brewing stardom. The Puck(disc shaped grounds) that remains after brewing, is enormous. Clover brewing requires a huge amount of beans. The results of this process are all good. Strong Rich flavor. Low acidity. Allows the subtleties of the different beans to shine through. 3. Service: most of our OC coffee houses have well trained employees. Baristas nowadays are push button trained. Espresso is done by the book. Hardly custom. But, where the Los Olivos employees outshine all others is in their amazing service. Very friendly. Good problem solvers. Knowledgable. This Starbucks location is pretty decent. It's located in a convenient center in the Los Olivos area. The plaza is pretty popular making it very difficult to find parking. At times, I have spent nearly 45 minutes looking for parking during the lunch hour. The store itself is pretty spacious and there is outside seating if the inside gets too full. Customer service is great, Brian is the best. My favorite coffee here is the ice caramel macchiato! Besides parking, this is a decent location. read more

What is wrong with STARBUCKS!!???? All they do is cater to their line of non-coffee drinkers that consume toxic sugar-engorged liquid!!!! First, they are a COFFEE HOUSE! They have TRULY forgotten that, and how having(initially), good coffee is how they got started! I'm not asking for anything more that! I share this as a preface because my coffee Pour-over was not only terrible tasting, but it was completely cold! Not even warm. Why? Because the baristas are multi-tasking, coming back periodically to fill. The second one when I brought it to John's attention, where he so nicely apologized and completely agreed, made me another that was perfect! He was not responsible for making me the first one. They need more guys like John and the older fellow here that runs the place, who wasn't here today, but kindly helped me in the recent past! It's not a store level concern really, it is a CORPORATE concern, how they are training employees and what expectations they are setting with them. Hire me and I will fix EVERYTHING! I love the 20-somethings that get empowered to be a barista, but the majority of our youth lack respect and care for humans. It's really become a place of making people just a number. That HAS to change. Separately, their pastry options 20 years ago were phenomenal, local suppliers. Now, it tastes the same shapes, no originality or creativity! Ughhhh!!!!
