What is wrong with STARBUCKS!!???? All they do is cater to their line of non-coffee drinkers that consume toxic sugar-engorged liquid!!!! First, they are a COFFEE HOUSE! They have TRULY forgotten that, and how having(initially), good coffee is how they got started! I have NO problem with people wanting to abuse their own bodies with the biggest street drug(Sugar), on the planet. Just make me my coffee without a bummer look on your face and make it hot! I'm not asking for anything more that! I share this as a preface because my coffee Pour-over was not only terrible tasting, but it was completely cold! Not even warm. Why? Because the baristas are multi-tasking, coming back periodically to fill. The second one when I brought it to John's attention, where he so nicely apologized and completely agreed, made me another that was perfect! He was not responsible for making me the first one. They need more guys like John and the older fellow here that runs the place, who wasn't here today, but kindly helped me in the recent past! It's not a store level concern really, it is a CORPORATE concern, how they are training employees and what expectations they are setting with them. Hire me and I will fix EVERYTHING! I love the 20-somethings that get empowered to be a barista, but the majority of our youth lack respect and care for humans. It's really become a place of making people just a number. That HAS to change. Separately, their pastry options 20 years ago were phenomenal, local suppliers. Now, it tastes the same shapes, no originality or creativity! Ughhhh!!!! This Starbucks location is pretty decent. It's located in a convenient center in the Los Olivos area. The plaza is pretty popular making it very difficult to find parking. At times, I have spent nearly 45 minutes looking for parking during the lunch hour. The store itself is pretty spacious and there is outside seating if the inside gets too full. Customer service is great, Brian is the best. My favorite coffee here is the ice caramel macchiato! Besides parking, this is a decent location. read more

It's a Starbucks located in the Los Olivos plaza on the side with the Whole Foods. They have a lot of room to sit down inside and outside. Most of the chairs are made of wood. It was pretty comfortable inside with the air conditioning. What we ordered came out pretty quickly. read more

I had literally the worst service I've ever had at a Starbucks here! I ordered a Carmel frappuccino, simple enough you would think. It took over 20 minutes to get my drink and it wasn't even busy. To make things better they didnt even blend my drink properly as it looked like mud water and they didn't put carmel on it. Cherry on top I swirl my drink and it feels like chunks swirling around then I take a sip indeed I can taste the chunks in my drink. read more

Great service by Barista. Fast service. Major problem: reaching out to wall plugs. Most plugs are under the seat in horizontal way, hidden underneath the seat, making it impossible to reach to them unless you literally get down on your knee and crawl under the "not-movable (Cuz these desks are all screwed to the ground)" desk. If you are a big guy like me, it really is tough to reach to the wallplugs. Well, there are two other plugs on the central half-seating desks but they are not much comfortable to seat. Whoever designed this place, really needs to think thru again. It is probably the worst Starbucks interior wall plug design ever. read more

I go to this Starbucks because I live across the street but the last 3 times I have gone they have made my drink wrong. How hard is it to do your job. I ordered a cloud macchiato each of those times. Not too difficult to make. I also have ordered a pumpkin muffin and twice they gave me the loaf. So, I've been going to this Starbucks for a while, because the seating arrangement indoors is great for studying, there are plenty of outlets, good outdoor seating and friendly staff who know how to make the drinks well. I already liked this location which is why I bring my friends here for coffee, so one of them gets me a gift card and it gets hacked! I called Starbucks' corporate and they told me two transactions drained my funds the day after the gift card was purchased. I didn't even open the card to look at it until the following week, but they were trying to pass the burden off to either my friend or the store I bought it from. My friend was just as clueless as I was, so I went here and the manager, Katie, was super helpful. She sat down with me and helped me get my case looked into by Starbucks' security team. The service here is honestly so outstanding I had to write a review commending the staff and especially Katie! Thank you so much! :) read more

This is my favorite Starbucks location. The staff is always warm and everyone makes an effort to get to know you. My order is always perfect (1% mocha frap, no whip, and a water no ice). Larry is a great GM, and that is reflected in all aspects of the store. I consider this SB to be a second home, and these wonderful people light up my days. read more

Just had a horrible experience here w Bri and Kevin. I have asked for barely warmed up muffin for my toddler! And she gave it to me VERY HOT. When i asked for another one not HOT. She rolled her eyes at me. Then i asked for cup of water from Kevin for my child and it took him a while to do so. After I asked again they both talked about me while thinking i can not see them... I understand they young and probably dont have kids yet. But it can be very challenging with the little ones. And i would hope I would get a bit more empathy from employees of Starbucks. My family and I walked in at 9:58 pm to store#8539 and as soon as we walked someone stared at my husband from head to toe before the next person told us from across the room, "we're sorry, but we're getting ready to close." As far as I know, the store closes at 10:00 pm, not two minutes before then. It's terrible customer service to turn down your customers because you close in 2 minutes. We weren't there to stay, we just wanted a cup of coffee. Very disappointing for a family of Mexican descent that walks into a Starbucks in Irvine and gets turned down two minutes before they close. There is this guy with curly hair who always has an attitude, and a face like he is about to slap you. Every time he is the one who takes my order, I do not get the right drink. He is like a bully, frustrated probably with the misery in his life and using the little power he has to treat customers with arrogance. Nobody needs a sour face doing us a favor when we get our coffee. The girl who made my coffee told him he got it wrong and he rolled his eyes all important, no apologies, no courteous attitude. I also noticed that he enjoys letting people in line wait, and when you get in front of him, instead of being welcome by a nice smile and a friendly attitude, he just gives you this arrogant look and waits for you to say hi so he can respond nothing back. Steven and Spencer are the two best baristas at this Starbucks! Hands down! No questions asked! Not only did they both make my day, but they made my coworkers day as well! I didn't know which drink to get, so they gave me both options! What incredible service!! This used to be one of our fav Starbucks, we used to come here before a Hispanic girl with glasses started to treat my husband awfully for no reason whatsoever. Lots of employees from the past that were nice, friendly and professional are no longer there. My husband asked to have more milk put in his coffee, the Hispanic barista gave him the nastiest look and attitude, ever since then that girl would always make my husbands drink last even if other customers paid after him. At first I couldn't believe what my husband told me so we went together one day and put the theory to the test. I ordered a drink and a cup of ice, my cup of ice came right up and then the moment she saw me with my husband, she made my drink very last after about 8 other people who paid after me. My husband was pissed and spoke to an Asian guy and said all the other customers got their drinks and the Hispanic girl heard and said I'll make it now. Are u freaking kidding me? You know who you are if your reading this. If I was your manager, I would have written you up!!! We stopped going here because she has made our experience dreadful each and every time. If I ever make it to this store again, I'll make sure to record the whole thing so Starbucks can see this is how their employees treat customers. Yesterday I placed a mobile order, this is exactly what I ordered: 6 Venti Iced caramel macchiatos with extra drizzle. I sent my coworker to pick them up as soon as my app showed that my order was ready, which it literally takes 2 mins to get there because my job is two building down from the plaza. When my coworker arrived with the order I noticed three coffees didn't have Ice and all of them didn't have extra drizzle. I called the store to let them know about my problem and he said that it was weird because he helped to make my mobile order and he made sure to put extra caramel drizzle, he asked me to check on the bottom of the cup. Which I did before calling to complain . He then said I can go back to have them remade but I told him I couldn't go back today, that I would stop by tomorrow morning. I called back this morning to let them know I would be stopping by. I explain the situation and he said okay. When I arrived, the manager walked up to me to say "we've been having a problem with you because you've often call, don't you ". Which i replied " i haven't had an Issue in the past 3 months". To that I do have to add that in the past when I would order a venti white chocolate mocha with NO FOAM LIGHG ON WHIPPED CREAM they would literally leave 2 inch space between the coffee and the cup. It was like ordering a size grande. But let me apologize for trying to get what I paid for, since it's rude to do so. In other words he said it like if I'm just here for free stuff. That was super rude and unprofessional. How about you ask me what you can do to better your crew at making coffee smh ‍ read more

The guy who took my order, and was very polite. He even asked which spelling I use of my name. A girl made my s'mores Frappuccino, and it was great!
