I live in San Jose and go to Pismo Beach twice a year on family vacation. This is my go-to Starbucks on the way down . Staff are always super friendly and super fast. There are almost always 5-10 people in line for the restroom and it somehow remains clean and well stocked. It's magic :) read more

The worst Starbucks I've ever been in. Three consecutive days of luke warm coffee, coffee grounds in cup, empty half + half pots, l-o-n-g waits for food, and general sloppiness & apathy. Thanks to starbucks being on practically every corner in the US, I can satisfy my daily coffee ritual/addiction while traveling....plus on a 10 minute stop (didn't want Amtrak's bus to leave without me...) the only other options are mcdonalds (I only like their breakfast items) and subway. Clean bathrooms Decent service Out of greek yougurt! (or perhaps they don't get any at all? It was hard to tell) Reasonably quick drink-making time Green tea latte with soy + cheese danish = $4.85, thanks to the free soy upgrades that mystarbucks rewards card gives me! I came here two days in a row. Both times we were off the fwy and needed a quick coffee and restroom stop. The bathrooms were gross. The first day there were no napkins, the half n half was empty and there was trash on the floor. Today the floor was clean but there were ants near the half n half and the bathroom was still gross. Also, they got my drink order wrong but I was in a hurry and said forget it. A manager really needs to come check out the place for themselves. read more

The manager took 15 minutes after I asked an employee if I can speak with them. Manager obviously had no clue how to handle a situation and was attacking me. Poor service. No customer was in line and there were three workers working. Even though they saw me and my friend standing in line, no one had said anything to us for over five minutes so my friend and I walked out. They need more training how to serve customers. I stop here on my commute to work 3-4 days a week. For the past few weeks they have got my order wrong 2 x a week. The price I pay for the exact same order varies from day to day. Not happy with the service at this Starbucks. Was here early and waited at the window for 5-10 min for it to open at 6. At 605, after another vehicle came around behind me in line, the lady opens the window and tells me I have to drive around to the menu to make my order...WTF!!! I was just waiting for 10 min!!! Knocked off two stars for our experience today. Stopped by a few minutes to ten but they were closed. Then checked to see their hours are listed as open until 10:30?! Always clean and the drinks are always on point. The staff is friendly and helpful. Barista Haylie always has a smile and very friendly.

On 7/25 afternoon, I've rarely seen a store so out of sorts. Partners were not planted in positions properly. There were about 5 people making drinks and they were making drinks improperly, changing the order they went in, and let the shots in our drinks go bad. Customers at the handoff plane were waiting longer than they needed to because the partners were bumping into each other and asking which drink to make next. The partner at the register didn't have support so he was calling the line very slowly. The pastry case and RTD were a mess. Drinks were not consistently written on cups and they weren't being called out properly if they did have names, which resulted in our drink being taken by another customer. We ended up having to leave because when they were remaking the drink, they let the shots sit for over half a minute and we didn't have time for them to remake it again. Wow, I've never waited over 10 minutes for coffee. The barista was too busy flirting with a customer to make my coffee. I mobile ordered at 10:55am went in to the restroom, came out saw the barista flirting with the lady ordering a drink (5minutes after I put in my order) and then waited an additional 5 minutes only to see the lady get her drink before me PS. I didn't have a big order...just 1 coffee. I will not be returning to this shitty excuse for a Starbucks. read more

We stop here regularly as we drive to visit my in laws. This is by far the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. The staff seems miserable. It took 10 mins to have a piece of pumpkin bread heated up. When my husband asked about it the guy working the coffee bar said, "Bro, if you ordered a pastry, I'm sure it's in line and it's going to be a few min." The professionalism at this location needs great improvement. read more

My husband and I were road tripping down to santa barbara and this was a great rest stop for a quick caffeine fix. It was super clean and the staff was very nice. Drive thru is available and there are a couple gas stations nearby. There is also a mcdonalds, taco bell, dennys, and kfc. read more

I travel a lot and spend a great deal of time at Starbucks so I am very familiar with how they work. I am in this city quite often and I cannot think of one time that I have been there when the staff has been friendly, efficient, or have not been put out when a drink has been made wrong. They can have 20 or 4 people in there and it takes forever. Their restrooms are almost always a mess, employees are a mess, and the employees are more concerned with their own socializing than making sure their customers are taken care of. Clearly their DM doesn't make it there often or they might have the place in better shape. When I see people working there that are not familiar, I am often hopeful that things will have improved since my last visit, but it never does. This is a great Starbucks location. Stopped here recently and the order was filled and poured before I could get the change in my wallet (and it wasn't just a simple cup of coffee.) I've stopped here many times and always appreciate how they go the extra mile for the customers. We stopped here once and wanted to get cake pops for 4 kids. None were on display but the cashier went to the back and got us a box (4 per box). How many places would have said they were out? Great service! read more

I love starbuck's.. usually. Stopped on the halfway pointo of a 5 hour car ride.. because A: I love starbucks coffee( no not the whipped frothy sugar ice cream drinks.. the coffee My lady friend likes the whipped frothy crap. Personally, any order that calls for more than 3 words isn't coffee... heck I would love to see a porn movie where at the point of climax, people shouted out lengthy starbuck's orders... but I digress... ) B: they have clean restrooms.. usually. This starbucks is the exception to the rule. One of the restrooms was plain nasty. The other had no lock that worked.. Patrons were taking turns guarding the door for each other.. I told the guy behind the counter that the lock didn;t eork. and he rudely said " It worked yesterday, obviously , you dont know how to lock a door. Luckily, my lady friend stopped me from pulling the wimpy greaseball kid across the counter and teaching him manners. we took our coffee ad left. They of course got her order wrong.. rather than wasting our time going back in we figured the rudeness and lack of quality product would prevent them from being abkle to correct the mistake.
