Sounds like peak suburban chic to me. Inside, it's practically a study den with caffeine privileges: plenty of seats for duos, loners, and laptop warriors. The noise level? Minimal.. just the occasional milk steamer sigh or blender flex, like background ASMR for your to-do list. Since the remodel, this spot hasn't once botched my order. Not once. Meanwhile, my "main" Starbucks sometimes plays me like a Spotify shuffle and runs out of my drink. That's when this one levels up from "second string" to MVP. So, to the haters: maybe you just need better taste buds or better Wi-Fi. read more

Turn down the volume on the Music! Either that or hang a round mirror ball and reopen as a disco. This place is a cavernous echo chamber. Even after politely screaming my request that they lower the volume on the Music, nothing was done. Add the less than symphonic sounds of blenders blasting, chairs scraping tiles, customers & staff yelling orders back-and-forth, and THE NOISE IS SIMPLY OVERWHELMING. Sumatra Coffee was dull - lacked flavor and intensity. It tasted like dish water. I simply couldn't drink it. Entrance to this Starbucks location is a bit tricky if coming from the northbound side of route 206. Easier if entering from southbound side of 206. Definitely not worth the hassle during peak commute/traffic times. That being said, situating a Starbucks in the Rocky Hill - Princeton - Montgomery area is great for local residents who don't want the hassle of downtown Princeton congestion and parking. So... Turn down the Music. Improve the coffee. Be an asset to the local community, you are needed here. read more

Eh, it was alright. This location felt cramped inside and there was no drive thru. The actual Starbucks lot is very small but there's lots of additional parking in the nearby communal lot so that's not a big deal. Service was polite but it took them a while to prepare the latte. Overall, I think I'd try to avoid this location and go to a different Starbucks if possible. read more

Good location in a shopping center that is easily accessible right off route 1, friendly competent staff, and the baristas are quick with the orders. It's a older Starbucks, the seating area is limited and there are a few small tables outside. There is limited parking in the section for Starbucks customers. If anyone from Starbucks corporate is listening, this location is perfectly setup for a Drive Thru considering the shopping center attached to it. read more

Happy Holidays. While I live in the area, I often don't find the time unfortunately to stop here. Out tonight with some time to sit and actually enjoy a coffee. This location is small but full of warmth. Staff is super nice and friendly. Coffee to heat you up as the temperatures drops. I did walk in right before closing not aware of when they shut the doors. Staff showed incredible patience and kindness to an elderly woman who struggled with her order in front of me. Just what you'd hope for during this season. Cheers! read more

I am very dissatisfied with th service today. I placed my order of three Venti drinks at 12:32 p.m. with a 4-7 minute prep time. I arrived at 12:40 p.m. and my drinks were not ready. My Ice Matcha Tea Latte was prepared and the barista made a second Ice Matcha Green Tea Latte when my second item was a hot Match Green Tea Latte so the gentleman remade my drink in a grande cup and still did not even put whip cream in my drink. I waited til 12:57 p.m. to receive my third item a Carmel Frappuccino. It should not have taken three times the prep time to get my drinks. I watched people come in an out as they made other orders between making my drinks. As a paying customer, customers who just walked in and did not pay yet received their order before me. It's a shame that companies no longer care for customer satisfaction as multiple workers saw me wait there for over twenty minutes waiting for my order. read more

The Mermaid doesn't swim well here. Perhaps, it is the osmosis of poor customer service bleeding in from the Verizon store next door, or the space is just too small to allow for any comfort, but this Star$$$$ is low on the list of this chain's locations. I have never been a fan of its burnt-tasting offerings, nor the insidious upsell pressure to spend more money on froth to make the drinks palatable, but I appreciated the atmosphere of relaxed woodiness imbued by most of the larger shops. This one doesn't have that redeeming quality. The few tables are usually taken by long term tenants, leaving the rest of us to scuffle outside where there are more tables than inside, or just get back in the car and go. Not a warm fuzzy. There are many better cafes in the area. Unless this is where you have to be, try finding something nearby (Yelp will help), and have a more pleasant experience where you can actually drink the Java. read more

This is the slowest Starbucks I have EVER been to. Really quite frustrating when you're in a rush, the line is only 4 people long, but it takes 15 minutes to just get your order in. I've only ever ordered a double shot of espresso over ice from here (multiple occasions) and I've had to wait 10 minutes for it when there's no one else waiting for anything! The baristas are too busy talking to each other to work. The worst is when I ordered espresso over ice and the barista poured out half the espresso just because the lid wasn't fitting properly...who does that? read more

I just LOVE this location! Even when I am not in the area I will find my way over here. Away and the other barista with the really cool haircut are just on point and so friendly. I used to work in the Mercer Mall and I admit it was convenient to have this store in the same center and it gave me an alternative to dealing with that Dunkin Donuts in the ShopRite which I always avoided when I could.... This Starbucks is relatively small compared to other locations in the area and it can be uncomfortable during the morning rush. Clean and convenient are the main benefits for this location. So I walk into Starbucks to order at the counter, I usually order on the app so I can easily pickup and go right away. No chit chat, no conversations with employees. On Friday, I walked in, placed my order and the cashier asked how to spell my name; which I did. As I'm waiting for my drink I regretfully make eye contact with this staff member and he proceeds to ask me if I saw the movie Beatriz at Dinner. I answered him with a yes and a nervous laugh as I looked around the store to my surprise I was the only Hispanic and person of color in there at the time. He then inquired what my thoughts were on the movie. It being a political and racially sensitive movie, I told him I thought it was a bit political and would refrain from sharing my thoughts as to not incite any problems. The first problem with this scenario is that he was passive aggressively calling out our racial difference aka skin color. Secondly, he was trying to point out the disparate treatment of Latinos/Hispanics by Caucasians as if to make it ok for him to treat me differently. Have been here twice, as we just moved to the area. First visit: I got in line but was apparently not forming the line the correct way (so already feeling like an idiot), as another customer so rudely showed me by getting in line on the other side. A "hey, are you in line? It actually goes this way" would've been nice, but I guess that would've inconvenienced her very busy day. The barista also said nothing to me either, even though he saw me. Then another lady did the same thing in the split second it took me to get over to the other side of the line. Still barista said nothing, neither did the lady. So pretty sweet clientele this day, if ya couldn't tell. After what felt like an hour because my GOD is the service slow, they finally take my order. I'm waiting for a receipt, and he just looked at me for a few seconds and goes "....have a nice day." As if I was a moron for continuing to stand there. Then it took about 15 minutes to get my iced tea (not a very complicated order, mind you) despite the three employees behind the counter having a grand old time just chit chatting. My second visit: I got in line the right way this time (congrats to me) and still waiting forever and a day to get to the register. The barista was nice but my order was wrong, took forever (again, 3 workers behind the counter, and I ordered an iced tea again), and ended up spending about 20 mins in there on what should've been a 5-7 minute experience. THE ABSOLUTE WORST STARBUCKS IN AMERICA!!! They are extremely, extremely slow. I understand it's a Saturday in a shopping mall, but you have THREE baristas and one of them doesn't even know what she's doing. The tall guy had to help the blonde chick with EVERY SINGLE DRINK. So after spending $8 bucks with a smile on my face, I went to get a refill for an iced tea. The barista told me I could not, even after I pointed out, that right on Starbucks website it says you can, no matter what the first purchased beverage was. She told me she has been here 15 years and obviously knows better. I told her verbatim what the site said, and she quickly replied "You are obviously not understanding what it says." Aw. I used to really like coming here in the mornings for coffee and breakfast on my way to work, but the dynamic has changed over the last couple of years. I most recently stopped by and ordered an iced coffee. At other Starbucks, plain brewed or iced coffees are made immediately by the person who takes your order, since no espresso shots have to be pulled. Alas, this barista took my order, wrote my name on the cup, and put it in line. After waiting 10 minutes, I heard "venti iced coffee", took the cup and left as I was in a rush. After I had pulled out of the parking lot, I took a sip, and it was iced tea!!! I mean, come on. I should have noticed that the drink was a bit too light to be coffee, but really? "IC" and "IT" look completely different written on the cup! On the flip side, Tom makes the best drinks, and is usually there weekday mornings! read more

I'm surprised to see such negative reviews on here. I'm a Starbucks junkie and frequent many different locations. This is the spot I go to before work every morning. I've never had bad service here... The staff is super friendly, they always remember my name and my drink. I notice when I'm in there that they know most of the customers names and the customers know the staff's names. Even when I go in at 6am The staff is happy and friendly. It's just got a friendly, neighborhood feel. I used to go to a different location on route 1 but now go slightly out of my way to go here instead. Definitely one of my favorite Starbucks. I'm very disappointed with this Starbucks! I came before closing to get a drink for my family and I. There was only one "customer" inside the store and one outside the store. The one outside was smoking despite the fact that there was a big sticker on the table that said there is no smoking. The staff did nothing about it. Inside the store was very dirty and had everything from tables lined with crumbs and coffee stains to trash cans overflowing all over the floor. I still ordered the drinks even though a poorly kept store would set off some alarms. The staff were basically distracted the whole time chatting away and goofing off with a "customer". The drinks came out at a snail's pace and it was slow enough for me to be the last customer to enter their store. Mind you, this was only two drinks! When they were finally done, the cups had coffee all over them that I had to wipe off and they were simply not up to any standards except a standard of a bad Gas Station. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to any one. I would recommend just about any other Starbucks located on one of the New Jersey intersection shopping centers! read more

I gave them a tall hazelnut macchiato coupon and I purchased a tall tea south a bottle of water and cookie. the coffee master lady charged me my macchiato. She places a grande tea on the counter without telling me its my drink or call out the drink. Then I noticed she charged me for the coffee instead of the tea. So I asked her to clarify.
