I am honestly disappointed..This is the worst Starbucks I've been too.I came here with my mom and brother at 4:20 and right when we were going to the counter to order two women stopped us to say that "they are short on staff it's better to order it online" so my mom ordered the drinks,we waited for a long time and at 4:45 we decided to go do some errands right down the sidewalk,We come back a hour later and our drinks are not ready..I get being short on staff happens but this wasn't ok..there was like 3 people working I don't know if this is an everyday thing but it was not ok.The place was covered with crumbs and drink spills,when we came back it was packed with complaining customers,and people who showed up later then us got their drinks before us.We decided to get Dunkin' Donuts instead. read more

Your restroom they're not clean that's obvious and your performance of the customer service. The only good thing about being here is the customer sitting down who are just as frustrated as me waiting. I get my tea and the thing is piping hot as I waited in the parking lot writing this review I see a customer go in and see a customer go out so I get the feeling he was ignore for the first 2 to 3 minutes before somebody behind the counter decided to show up. We need to feel and I believe the rest of the customers were here with me. They need to feel like they are wanted and appreciate your product and you're good service that is not the case here. I'm in this Starbucks 2 times a day, and today was a nightmare!! I had a terrible experience today waiting in the drive-thru line for a half hour only to receive the wrong drink and be lied to when I questioned it. I will not be told that a flat white, a drink I get almost weekly from several other Starbucks', is made with 80% foam. It is called a "flat" white. It IS 80% steamed whole milk with a very light layer of froth from the steaming process, but it has little to no foam. The cup should not feel over half empty, not to mention that it doesn't taste right. I'm am never going to this location again. read more

Starbucks is the king of espresso drinks. Often imitated and never duplicated. This shining beacon of extra energy to keep the day going is somewhat of a must have now in this time and age. It's not the biggest in size, but it definitely is the most convenient. It's less than a mile from my house and it's situated right on the i75 and Southfield corner, which means it's great for getting a bit of pick me up before I make it back home from work,, or shopping,, or whatever it is I went out for. Inside there's a counter, bunch of pastries, barristas buzzing around making coffee concoctions. Then there's tables and couches. Also a bathroom in case you need to relieve yourself. Well we went in this morning and they were super busy... I ordered a green iced tea and some egg bites, my mom ordered a grande Pike and blueberry scone. I got my iced tea almost immediately and our food arrived shortly after... We waited and waited and waited for the grande pike 10 min later we had to ask about it while other customers with more complicated orders that came in after us were being served... I also look over to see one of the workers working near the tea and coffee station. He kept wiping his nose with his hand and did not wash his hands . Some people may say it's just another Starbucks and how it's hit or miss service. Since moving to the Downriver area, this is the location closest to my new house but I find it quite lovely. I have gotten to know the baristas and even the regulars. I've had days I come in and it's been one of those days. The drive-thru/parking at this location should be redesigned or shut down. The natural flow of the drive-thru comes along the side of the building but there is a back alley which runs along the back of the adjacent businesses which also has access. Several times now I have been in the drive-thru line just to have someone come in from the back alley and force their way into the line. Today I had two cars that were following one another do it!! To get into the line they had to cut in front of me (I would have T-boned her if I would have gone forward) and then back up try to position themselves into the line. I've seen other Starbucks erect barriers to direct traffic in one direction and some who have signs which tell people to take turns but there is nothing here! Service here is usually friendly and of good quality but this drive-thru set up has me afraid of someone hitting my car not to mention it is just unfair to be in line and have people cut in. Additionally, the drive-thru line often blocks several of the parking spots along the side of the building. This whole set-up is just a mess. read more

This is my go to Starbucks location, the morning baristas are always friendly. They make your coffee quickly and on point. I can't say the same for the evening time, even when placing mobile orders you still wait about 5 mins, as if they never made you order, totally defeats the purpose. I recommend trying your drink before heading out on. I'll definitely stick to going in the morning when your greeted with a smile instead of the afternoon nothing but rude baristas. This is your usual starbucks. I drive by here on my way to work as an alternate route from i94. I can say that monday to friday 8-9am, there isn't too much traffic here, so you can easily jump in and grab a coffee and jump out in a couple minutes (which is what you want). I personally have a dislike for drive throughs, it's just super lazy to me, and I enjoy parking and walking in, a bit of a change from sitting in my car. So I don't know how was the drive through is. The older lady who works the drive-thru at night is horrible! So unpleasant and seriously screws up my order every time. Whether it be my size or drink. Normally I don't review a chain like Starbucks. You usually know what to expect. But I think this place deserves some props. The store sits by itself at the end of a new strip mall, and with a nice little patio it's a quaint outdoor spot to enjoy coffee and a scone during the warmer months. Inside the staff is super friendly, and as I sit in the corner on my mini laptop I can tell that they all seem to enjoy working here and the daily chat with the regulars stopping in to pick up their morning java. The coffee is notably Starbucks, so that's good. My one complaint is the arctic breeze that blows down on the window tables. But I guess I'm the one who decided to stay put there. The big comfy chairs probably are a better choice. If you're down river near Southfield and 75 and in the need for some coffe... stop by, you don't have to feel so bad about visiting a national chain at this place.
