I visited here after a full breakfast next door. I was curios because I never even saw a his building before. Upon stepping in I was immediately in love. The artistry throughout is breathtaking, the smell of coffee is divine and not overwhelming. The coffee itself is perfect and the service was faster than expected. We hung out for a bit just to soak in the atmosphere. I would come here everyday if it was closer to where I live. But I'll have to settle for once a week going forward. And I'm telling all of my friends visit too.

We really enjoyed this spot. They have unique options as well as your standard drip coffee. A gallery to pass the time & neat homemade trinkets for purchase. My Matcha latte was refreshing. Someone got the seasonal vanilla maple & another had the air infused espresso. Everyone left happy :) Definitely a nice little spot. Oh & super friendly staff! Thanks again. Oh ! There's even a 10% off a cup of coffee if you check in on yelp. (for now) hopefully you get it too

I recently visited black box and I was amazed by the Great service, great tasting coffee, and. great concept. Everything was so amazing and the staff and owners were so friendly. This little gem is a family owned business. They have a walk up window which I think is pretty awesome. The two best selling drinks are the lavender latte and the iced caramel latte. Check out how beautiful they both look if u swipe right. They both tasted delicious. And they were paired beautiful with a freshly made strawberry rhubarb cake. Never had it before but it was super good !!! What's unique about them is that they feature many artists on the wall and have events such as open mic night. Definitely sounds like a cool place to be to meet some ppl. We'll be seeing you guys soon

Wow ! It's nice old house changing to very modern cafe what I feel first. If have mask they can allow to come inside if not just get coffee out side. no big deal. But inside ... very Artie ... I love that. And everyone working here are very friendly! Coffee taste excellent...

Absolutely *amazing* addition to this area! Black Box is a wonderful, family run artisan coffee shop. After searching a bit on Yelp for a new coffee shop, I started my day on a sunny morning by going to get Black Box and the walk up window was the sweetest addition to the experience. The barista was very knowledgeable and friendly and told me the lavender latte was their most popular menu item so that's what I ordered. Lavender lattes can be tricky sometimes but at Black Box, their lavender was *wow* so yummy!! I also tried the blackberry almond cake, which is made fresh by the owner, and it was such a yummy, light pastry to have with my coffee!! I will definitely be making this a regular place for my coffee and morning vibe!

Well, wow. How incredibly cool. I honestly wouldn't have thought that this place was a super cool coffee shop if I hadn't searched through Yelp. But, I'm blown away by how awesome this place is. First, the coffee shop things: the selection is limited, but high-quality. I'm currently nibbling on a ridiculously tasty almond croissant. I'm told that there are usually additional selections, but they are out at the moment. That's fine with me. But, if you look at the artwork here, it reminds me that I haven't been in art gallery in a very long time. This place is a great excuse to change that. The owner said that they change the exhibit about once a month. They have concerts here sometimes. And, they also have smaller, more affordable things, made by Detroit area artists. This is a super cool fusion of concepts that I would expect to see in the bay area of California. Fortunately, I don't have to drive that far to get to this place.

Not your typical coffee shop. A wonderful corner place for coffees off Wagner Place on Michigan Ave. My sister and I came here right after our lunch to try a Cappuccino and a Latte, with dessert. The pours were perfect and had a cute design on top. A delectable slice of Blackberry almond cake. The interior was modestly decorated with local artists works on the walls. Service was friendly and also happy to answer all our questions about the place and artwork. This is the first time I have ever tried a stand up bar coffee shop, but due to Covid sit down seating wasn't available at the time. I can't wait until the weather is warmer to take my coffee outside to enjoy the view and weather. This place will defiantly get busier when Covid is finally done, and more people are out and about. I would highly recommend you give this place a try if your in West Dearborn!

LOVE this place! Cute little walk up window you can order at on a nice sunny day. They have great lattes here I always try their seasonal drinks when I can. I had the honey bee when I went last which was a honey vanilla latte and it was delicious! If I lived closer I'd be here everyday

Such a hidden gem! My family and I had a great time visiting Black box! We went on a Saturday afternoon and we were the only people inside. The staff was so welcoming and friendly! I ordered an iced latte with caramel and it was delicious! I enjoyed looking at the paintings while enjoying my coffee! I will definitely return.

We all know I love a good coffee place. Casual comforts meet true hospitality after talking with the barista and owner. A true testament to how friendly people truly make an experience worth it. I'll likely be back tomorrow just to try the homemade sweet treats. Came for a concert- staying for the coffee!

Our go-to coffee spot! Their iced caramel latte is my absolute favorite. They blend the flavoring in with the milk which gives it a special touch and makes it have a delicious frothy top. The grab and go window is convenient for sitting outside at their tables, or going inside offers an opportunity to see unique, local artwork they have for sale/on display! Only little critique I have is hoping that someday they will make their own flavored syrups for their coffees - they currently use the usual brand you see everywhere and I try to avoid due to the ingredients added. Otherwise, seriously 100% 5 star with kind employees and owners. We are forever guests and come almost weekly :)

If for nothing more, you can appreciate this tour for its showcase of manufacturing history. After all, the Ford vehicle is the father of automotive history. On the tour you'll learn about much of the owner's early labor standards and America's rich automotive industry history including defining moments like the establishment of labor unions, integrating technology on the assembly line, and community engagement. What makes this tour special is the building is not just a museum, but a real working truck factory located at the Ford Motor Company's Dearborn Truck Plant. On the tour you'll be able to view the vehicle assembly area. I recommend purchasing tour tickets online to see if discounts are available. Overall, a very good tour worth taking.

An interesting, EPCOT-like factory tour…read more Bought a combination for the Ford Rouge Factory Tour and the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation. My favorite part of the tour was talking to the security guard who gave more insight into the assembly line. Took a 15 minute bus ride from the museum to the factory. Check the schedule as the buses do run on time. The factory tour has five stations. A movie, a laser Ford truck assembly show, the observation deck, the factory, a smallish room filled with a collection of Ford cars over the past century. The movie glossed over the beginnings of Henry Ford's inventions with an emphasis on the creation of an assembly line to cut down the time to build a car from 12 hours to 93 minutes. The moving part assembly line in Highland Park was super efficient. By breaking down the process to 84 steps and having stationary workers build each car, it really streamlined the process. This dropped the price of the Model T from $850 in 1908 to $260 in 1925 making the luxury vehicle affordable for an average family in America. Workers were paid $2.50 a day, but as the company became more profitable (and many workers were quitting due to boredom with monotonous tasks) the wages were increased to $5 a day. Ford had many conflicts with the Automobile Unions (UAW). Fights were physical and bloody. Graphic images released in the news in the 1930s turned public opinion against Ford. In the 1940s, he held out signing a Union contract until his wife Clara Ford threatened to leave him unless he signed a contract to stop the bloodshed. The 1941 UAW gave the workers the best benefits and wages at the time. The "assembly" laser 360 movie show was very EPCOT-like. Interesting, but not informative. The guide at the observation deck was very good. This is one of two places where photos were allowed. The elevated walk over the assembly line was self guided. Since they are very behind on construction, shift work is done on the weekends. Interesting to see the F-150s being assembled station by station. Spoke to a security guard who gave us insight into the safety gear needed, the energy efficient design of the building and how strikes and the union still advocate for workers salaries, working conditions and benefits. Otherwise, it would have been more like walking through another area with labels but limited explanation. No photos allowed here. The building is very interesting. No air conditioning, but the high ceilings allow heat to rise and the green roof with living plants make the building more climate controlled and energy efficient. Teams work in groups of 8 at each station. Lunch breaks are taken at the same. Key to know if you want to see the assembly line in action. The latest strike brought back more benefits. Workers wear eye protection and hearing protection. So interesting to learn more after asking questions. The last part of the self guided part of the tour brings you back to the main building for a view of cars like the Model A, the Thunderbird and the Mustang. Make sure to check the schedule to get a bus to go back to the Museum after the Ford Rouge Factory Tour is completed. An interesting tour, but not the best factory experience that I have taken.

Holy cow! Year two…read moreof Maker Faire here in Detroit was faboo! Despite the heat everything was just killer. From the outside with their great tents featuring the best local and national techy/creative/innovative organizations and hackerspaces, local businesses selling their wares (t-shirts, food, etc) and amazing things to see and do (like the giant mousetrap, the massive bikes, gokart races, Theatre Bizarre, and the huge ass dragon that spits fire and scared the bejeebus out of my 3 year old cousin) there was plenty going on to make your visit worth your while. Some local eats from Buddy's Pizza, Avalon Breads, and Treat Dreams rounded out the tastes and there were even tunes from local bands in case you wanted your socks rocked off. Adding to the fun was also the indoor displays in the museum. Tickets to the event included entrance to The Henry Ford Museum so not only did you have all that amazingness that they had to offer there were also great MF bits to check out like crafty spaces for kids, tutorials on how to knit/crochet, and the Handmade Detroit section featuring a craft fair from locals selling good from artwork to jewelry, make up and housewares. NEAT! Also loved the free app you could download for the faire. Made the event even more interactive. It included the schedules, maps, and a game wherein you scanned all the checkpoints to enter into a drawing to win some prizes. Totally sweet. Extra props to the cupcake car rolling around and the water swing which I was sincerely sad I didn't get to take a ride on. Next year! I'm already eagerly anticipating their return!
