The café itself has a nice atmosphere and felt like a great place to sit and catch up with a friend or get some work done. Everything looked clean and well put together, and the staff was friendly when taking my order. I appreciate when coffee shops offer unique drinks that are different from the usual menu, and this one definitely stood out. I usually ask for a shot of dark chocolate syrup to make it a chocolate chai, so I did for this occasion. The barista made as requested, however, she did give me a heads up that their chai is unique and might not go well with chocolate. She did offer to remake it without the chocolate if I didn't like it. I do taste the difference, but was fine with it as is. If we stop in here again, I will try it without the chocolate because I want to experience the full chai flavor. Jim was going to order their Mufawar specialty coffee, but got sidetracked by the seasonal offerings. He had the salted brown butter latte instead. My partner looks at receipt and asks me what is the extra charge after my item for 3.00? We asked the owner and she said it was because we gave you extra veggies. We told her we only asked for no noodle. She said that there used to be a sign that said they charge extra and we said there is no sign and we didn't ask for it anyhow. We only didn't want Noodles. She shrugged her shoulders and said, "oh well". I said politely that you really should refund the 3.00. Anyhow, she shook her head. I responded that we won't be back. Very poor business. We were regular customers for years.
