There was a scheduled fire alarm test during my visit, with blaring alarms and flashing lights definitely obnoxious, but I understood it was necessary. There was also a delay with orders, so drinks took longer than usual. I patiently waited about 15 minutes no big deal. One of the employees then started handing out $4 gift cards to everyone in the store as an apology for the inconvenience and wait. At first, she gave them to the people who were standing in line, which I thought was really thoughtful. When she made her way to the seating area where I was, she handed a gift card to the gentleman on my left. She made direct eye contact with me, and I smiled, expecting to receive one as well. But instead, she walked right past me and gave gift cards to the two gentlemen on my right. At first I thought, maybe she ran out but she still had a handful in her hand as she walked back to the counter. I don't want to jump to conclusions or assume the worst, but I couldn't help but notice I was the only African American person in the store. Honestly, the overall service was nice, and I understand things can get hectic but I left feeling a little hurt. My husbands mocha had no complaints about it, mine however was disappointing. I asked for light ice and received a super watered down drink that was missing a couple of ounces and there is a clear dent in my cup. I'm really disappointed with this location. At the menu, I wasn't even greeted with a good morning or pleasant greeting. I received a 'what can I get you?' Then, when we pull up to the window, we asked the barista if we could pay separately. She answered with 'next time tell us when you're ordering'. Finally, when she handed my americano to me, the cream was curdling and I asked if I get mine remade. She proceeded to tell me that happens with the heavy cream. I've been ordering the same drink for years, and that's the first time I've received my drink like that. Overall my experience was less than satisfactory. The baristas at the window were rude. When working in customer service, you're supposed to always be polite and friendly, and make sure the customer is taken care of. Put simply, I really love this Starbucks. It's much better than the one on 196th. The employees really make an effort to get to know me here and even the new ones give off fantastic positive energy. If they've made a mistake regarding my order (which isn't very often), they sincerely apologize and make it right. It was so sweet of them to remember the time they accidentally over-filled my coffee cup and told me they felt so bad about it the next time the saw me. I love this place. This is my favorite place to go to in the morning. I have young twin toddlers. Sometimes nights are rough and on these occassions, I look forward to the arrival of the nanny so I can run out and grab a "pick me up" before tackling my day. I live off the Mobile Ordering. You place your order via the Starbucks App, drive over and boom... your drink is waiting of you on the counter. It is so convenient!!!! One of my pet peeves of coffee places, including other Starbucks I have been to, is the inconsistency in the quality of coffee. Sometimes it tastes burnt... sometimes it tastes like hot water... at this location, consistency and quality are key! I love coming here because of that. Walking in, the team is always busy but still has time to greet and thank me as I grab my coffee and head out the door. This is a very busy Starbucks. There's always a fairly long line. I usually have a big order for a family of 5. The baristas always take it in stride. They're always friendly and talkative. My only complaint is that dark roast is rarely served past 9AM. But I must be one of the only ones that likes to drink dark roast in the late morning. read more

This is by far the best Starbucks I have ever visited. I will go far out of my way just to come to this location. The employees are always so talkative and friendly with customers and make sure they are acknowledged as soon as they roll up to the drive thru or walk thru the door. My drinks are usually complicated but the baristas all are patient and make sure the drink is still made perfect every time.! The environment of this store is just as good as the coffee. I recently moved into this area and the day I signed my lease there was snow on the ground so a nice hot coffee was steaming in my mind. Drove one block away and noticed a Starbucks and even better, a drive thru one to add to my excitement. It doesn't look like most drive thru locations however because from the front it looks like a regular sit down location. It is located on the end of a few more chain businesses so you have to look for the tiny drive thru sign on the far right if you are facing the building off 99. You feel like you're driving thru a loading dock area but keep going you'll find it. The girl at the window was friendly. My dad decided to pay using his crd so she asked "can I see your ID ......sir?" while still looking at me. I'm very much 100% female and took the joke lightheardetdly and replied "yes you may" and as my dad handed her his ID I said "I look a little different because I shaved this morning" which made her burst into laughter. She asked us how our holidays were and wished us a great day. Our coffee was very good and this will definitely be a frequently visited spot since I live just a few minutes away. read more

Six people behind the counter, one barista, and he's the only one that greeted me after two or three minutes of me standing there. He said he'd be right with me. I love this Starbucks!! This is MY Starbucks ;-) The staff here is super-friendly, efficient and fun!! They can make you smile at 5 o'clock in the morning when all you really want out of life is hot coffee trickling down your throat in hopes that you can wake up and be a productive member of society. If someone can make me smile BEFORE I have my coffee, that's saying something. I have a complicated drink. There I said it. I am one of those people coffee jokes are made about and when I order I try not to say it too loud out of sheer embarrassment. The staff here have learned my drink by heart and since I am a creature of habit, they make it without even asking what I'm having today. Of course everyone is not perfect and there have been some screw-ups with my drink. Unlike my experience at the Starbucks on 164th by Wal-Mart (I reviewed them too) any mistakes made by this staff is met with a smile and a new drink without leaving me feeling guilty for pointing it out my drink was wrong. My one boo-hoo about this location is that they do not sell syrup for home use unless they have enough stock for themselves, and they do not have pumps for the syrup. Ordered ice coffee with milk and sugar. Took 15 minutes and the whole time the three employees working were literally walking in circles I couldn't believe it. Went up to ask where my drink was after the couple people behind me including the friend i was with we're served first their Carmel macchiatos (which take actually some effort to make compared to adding sugar and milk to already brewed coffee) . Lady was rude when she was approached .. i was so impressed with the employees audacity to be so sassy and short with costumers . I have been coming to this Starbucks for about six months. I ask for a double espresso in an espresso cup for here. 99% of the time they put it in a large mug or a 8 oz to go cup. I know the staff doesn't understand espresso,they are used to the big sweet milky drinks so I am very specific. "Double espresso in a small espresso cup for here. I ask them if they understand and they say yes but they don't. I know it seems petty but it is as simple as an order can get. I only stop in here every 3,000 miles when I have my oil changed at Seaview GMC-Buick, which time-wise works out to every three months. It's about a 15 minute walk. I order my usual, grande nonfat latte, read a few articles in the WSJ, then walk back to pick up my car. This is a fine Starbucks, pretty much like any other Starbucks. This is my favorite Starbucks around. I especially love Amber. She is a so positive and welcoming. Always has a smile and makes me feel like I'm a member of the family. The other gals here are just as sweet. They are all fast and friendly and if the wait is too long in the drive thru, they will comp. my drink.
