I've been so many times! My favorite cafe in monroe! Everything here is delicious and the staff is so kind!

Not so good. The ice tea was okay as was the coffee. The sandwiches were not so good. White bread with super hard crust. May not be fresh. The sandwich had an odd taste. We didn't try the baked goods and they seemed all prepackaged. They use Torani syrups which are full of preservatives and chemicals. Nothing appealing here. read more

Paesano is one of the view places in Monroe that has inside seating and isn't Starbucks. It's a simple coffee shop with everything you could want, but the coffee isn't unique or memorable. Aside from that, I appreciate the friendliness of the staff. read more

We were looking for non-Starbucks coffee after an appt in a town we don't frequent and came across Paesano's. Despite having a drive thru, we ventured in and were pleasantly surprised by the variety of baked goods, and food items! A decent amount of GF items too. My dirty almond milk chai was perfection. Service was a delight, and drinks were made with the quickness. If we didn't have places to be, the comfy couches would've been where I enjoyed my drink. read more

Well shoot that was a waste of money. I ordered a $12 pastrami sandwich that has no mention of "spicy" in the description. I sit down at my desk, take a bite & boy howdy that's a spicy sandwich! We will never come here again. Apparently this coffee stand runs on a loyalty caste system. We ordered the most basic tea and iced coffee imaginable, then got to watch multiple cars behind us get served and leave first. When we asked, they straight-up said they prioritize their regulars. Cool concept maybe post a sign that says "New customers wait while we serve our favorites." Great way to make sure we never become regulars. read more

I don't know why anyone would go to Starbucks with this place in your neighborhood. Stopped by for the first time yesterday and had my order picked out until I saw their Holiday specials and I couldn't pick just one. Went with the Gingerbread Latte and the Apple Pie Chai. Both were amazing and exactly the pick me up I needed for physical therapy. They were busy, but service was fast, the coffee was good, and the staff was super friendly. read more

Finally decided to try out Paesano's this morning, and we were so pleasantly surprised! Really yummy drinks, and huge bagels that were absolutely delicious! We will definitely be coming back to try out more of their menu. Love the location as well! read more

Are you in the area and need a coffee? Come here and you will be fine. The food is basic. The only espresso is on the burnt side. Despite the large signage, the offerings are basic. Service is good. The space is noisy with the drive thru ding every couple of minutes and the fact you can hear conversations at the other side of the store. read more

Wish they were more consistent on drinks. It's like every 3 drinks something tastes off. I had my mom pick up a matcha with strawberry and this is the second time it's taste gritty, bland and chemically and not even a hue of strawberry. The last time this happened I luckily ended up by their Everett location so they were nice enough to remake it but this time around we aren't anywhere close enough to get this remade. :( when you're spending up to $12.00 + tip, I'd wish they could be a little more consistent. read more

I'm sure this place is wonderful. The atmosphere was nice. When I got to the counter I asked for the vegan burrito (which is on their menu)... the person at the counter told me that the burrito isn't actually vegan because it still has egg/cheese? I was confused because on the menu under the "burrito", it has "vegan" as an option. I'm not sure if there was some confusion or something, but the lady apologized. I was in town for an event and was hoping to find a breakfast sandwich in hurry. A quick search on Yelp lead me to Paesanos, located close to the Evergreen State Fairgrounds. It was in a newer strip mall and even had a drive thru. The breakfast selection was much larger than expected, settling on the French toast breakfast sandwich. It totally hit the spot and had bacon, sausage and egg in it. Since I'd already had plenty of caffeine that day, I got a chai tea latte to wash it down with, also delicious. I got a great vibe from this place, super clean inside and the workers were all fast and efficient. I have more upcoming events at the fairgrounds and will make sure to support this local business rather than the larger coffee chains. read more

Enjoyed a piece of citrus loaf on the go as I was hungry between appointments. It was delicious unfortunately it just wasn't the time for coffee so I cannot comment on their coffee. But the citrus loaf was very tasty. Service was good. Ambience seemed very typical for a coffee shop. read more

What a cute spot! One of my Friends just moved to the area we met Up today and had a mom date! Walked into the cafe, we Were immediately greeted by welcoming and happy baristas! Super friendly service! I ordered iced chai! I asked barista what flavor Recommendation she had and added to my drink I had lavender! Product was good but customer service was a -10! I messaged the shop to see if I could purchase some chai powder. I was able to purchase it and they were going to ship it to me. I then found out I was going to be in the area and said I would pick it up. When I went to the shop and paid via credit card I accidentally pulled my card to soon unbeknown to me and the transaction didn't go through. The cashier said I was good to go. Walking out to my vehicle I hear my name being called through the drive thru window saying my card hadn't gone through. I immediately went back and paid for the tea, the cashier said "don't worry about it this happens all the time!" I did not open the box until I got home which is 6 hours away. When I did open it only half of the order was there. I messaged them immediately. What happened next was just appalling to me! First the person I was communicating with, and I'm going to assume it was a very burnt out owner, said I switch the chai tea to another jar. Stated they don't use Kerr jars only Mason jars, like I'm going to take the time to run to a store and buy a different brand of jar to switch it! Then she said "the barista who rang you up said you tried to leave without paying and she had to yell at you to come back and pay". I'm 64, have had 2 back surgeries and 2 foot surgeries I seriously doubt I tried to run out without paying. Then she went on to say the lid was dirty and the jar had no tag on it even though I sent her pictures of the tag that was attached to the jar. Then she stated "the fact that several remember you specifically as trying to leave without paying is telling me". There were 2 people working and 2 customers behind me. Another lie. After reading other comments on google I'm not at all surprised by the remarks, whoever this is a burnt out, negative person and needs to realign themselves and find their happy place which clearly is not at this shop! read more

Really disappointed in this place tonight. As I've said in my other reviews, I used to come here in high school and I've since moved from Monroe. Whenever I come visit my dad, I make it a point to come here. It's about a 10 minute walk from his place. I'm here for Christmas. I saw their hours changed online, so I adhered to those hours. I took note of the current hours posted on the door as well. Tonight I decided to run down there to get a drink before they closed. Unless my phone is wrong, the time was 5:02 when I got there. Lobby was closed, so I walked to the drive thru window. I'm assuming the barista was saying they were closed, but I couldn't hear her because she didn't bother to open the window and tell me. When I tried to ask what she was saying she put up a paper or something that said "Merry Christmas". I left because I realized they were closed. Even if they weren't, I wouldn't have stayed. Their hours are listed 5 am - 6 pm online, and same on their signage for Mon-fri. It's Tuesday. I get if it was slow and they closed early, but at least open the window to say you're closed. I'll come back because I like their coffee and I usually have good experiences there, but I'm really disappointed and frustrated with what I experienced tonight. RUDE!! Came in and ordered a couple coffees and some pastries. The lady behind the counter barely said 2 words. We sat down and waited almost 20 mins for our drinks. Finally I went up and asked if they would be done soon and the girl just pointed over to the pick up area where I drinks were sitting. Who knows for how long. They weren't busy. It was us and a couple other ppl. Why wouldn't she have said "here's your coffees" or brought them to us? The coffee wasn't even great as it had been watered down from sitting. Def felt like we were "unwanted guest" We have been coming here since 2015 and moved out of town. So we were excited about coming back for a visit. We will not be returning. I love supporting local shops, this one is a no go unless you like being treated like garbage. read more

Terrible experience. They have the price of drinks posted in the drive thru and told me it was changed. Not posted! I am positive this is illegal to charge me $6 for a drink when it is posted at $4.50. Outrageous! Horrible customer service I will never be back!!! As for your response, maybe a refund would be appropriate. No sign was posted of the price change... and you should tape over all prices if they are incorrect. It would take you about 10 minutes and an ounce of customer service to do these small changes. read more

Great local coffee shop in Monroe! Beats Starbucks. It's within walking proximity from my in-laws as I get my workout along the lake. Clean and quaint. Great seating and overall atmosphere. Very quaint, humble and they utilize the space quite well. Incredible employees, fantastic coffee, very charming. I just wish their hours were extended and had more variety to foods. It's the norm in Monroe as it has a small town feel. I'm a city gal visiting from Southern California, OC area) I'm used to extended hours, ample selection etc. we are spoiled. When you're spending $5+ on a drink, it's seems fair to expect the coffee to be served with an attitude that is welcoming & nice. Other than showing up and happily ordering coffee, I did nothing 'wrong' but was for some reason treated as an inconvenience and with snobby disdain. It was weird. The smugness that emanated from the barista was thick and it was evident that I was impeding on her evening, and opportunity to either look at her phone or just clock out early. Whatever it was, I got the clear impression she didn't want my business. So I won't go back. I have never gotten that vibe from Starbucks (which I'd prefer not to support!) and it's the only other place in town I've found with such a dark espresso, so I'll just go there even tho I prefer small businesses. read more

The one star is for the absolutely RUDE manager, Brianne. The coffee is good, baristas are friendly, atmosphere is pleasant, but the manager is always short, rude, and treats customers as if she really doesn't care if you ever come back or not. In a small town, I'm surprised that she has not been fired for loosing business and customers. I got my usual drink and it wasn't good. Took it back the next day to get it replaced and she told me she wouldn't replace it. I have been a customer for 7 years, and stop by daily for a drink, but I will not return as long as she is the manager. Maybe Brianne needs a job not working with people. read more

I really enjoyed my coffee and the barista that helped me was very kind. The scone I purchased was very overpriced at $7 something (haven't tried it yet) and my breakfast sandwich was small and overcooked though. Didn't take too long to get my order though, which I appreciate. read more

I work down at the vet clinic so I come to this coffee shop often. I always get either my caramel macchiato or a red bull Italian soda with a cream cheese bagel toasted. The ladies are always nice and the food and drinks taste great. They even cut my bagel in half for me. Very nice coffee shop I think in my opinion it's better than Starbucks. read more

Coffee was pretty good, but rating the experience. I came in for the firs time. There are big signs up everywhere that a the price increase goes into effect on April 1st. Fine, whatever. It is now May 5th. I assume the posted prices are reality now. Nope. My Americano, instead of the posted price of $2.75 is $3.00. The added flavor, instead of the posted price of $.50 is now $.75. I asked the woman working for clarification on the price and she said "Those prices (the only thing posted in the entire store) aren't right." So I asked when the board might be updated, since we're 5 weeks past the new price date, out of curiosity. She said "She (I assume the owner) said hopefully before summer." Huh? How are people supposed to know what anything costs in the meantime? If you just added $.25 to everything, at least post that fact. Once I asked about the prices the woman at the counter suddenly turned from friendly to super-rude too, so I'm guessing I'm not the first one to ask. Overall, a weird visit... read more

Not a bad local coffee shop. If you have small children they have a corner in which they can play, while you relax for a minute. As a mother of two busy toddlers - this is hugely helpful! Seating areas are casual and relaxed - not too busy. Service can be slow at times (all the more reason why it's great to have a play area for the kids!) The bake goods I've had have not been the best - one of our cookies was burnt on the bottom. Coffee is what is important to me and it makes the cut. They have drinks for the kiddos too - which also helps. This location also has a drive through window which makes it nice! read more
