I go to this store almost every morning on my way to work. I purchase coffee, a breakfast item and a lunch item. Last week, I got to work only to discover that all my cucumber slices were frozen and inedible. I let it go. On Monday, I ordered another one and asked the drive through to please make sure the cucumber slices were not frozen. When I got to the window, she handed me my items...the cucumber slices were in fact frozen. I asked her for another one and that one had the same issue. So, I asked for an egg and protein box which is not what I really wanted. I told the girl working the drive through that all the boxes that were frozen should be pulled and NOT sold to customers. I got a blank stare...she didn't have a clue what I was trying to tell her. Yesterday (Wednesday) I ordered another PB&J box. Same problem! After I left, I called the store and spoke with the manager about the problem. She was nice and wanted to comp me for all the trouble. I told her I did not want that...just wanted her to know that there is a QC issue and that all the PB&J boxes that are bad need to be pulled and not sold to customers. She thanked me and said she would handle it. Today, Thursday, I thought I would try again. I asked the girl in the drive through at the time I place my order, to please make sure the cucumber slices were not frozen. When I arrived at the window, again I was given a box with frozen slices!!! A) I cannot believe that the people working the drive through would give out such a product after being specifically asked to check it first. This happened with two different drive through employees. B) After speaking with the manager on the phone the previous day, I cannot believe they are still selling these!!! The manager came to the drive through window and told me they are working with the supplier on the issue. I told her I understand, but asked why her employees continue to sell inedible product to customers. She told me they could not pull them from the fridge and leave them sit out. What a poor excuse. I told her that bad product should be pulled and stored elsewhere or at least be marked at unsalable. This manager seriously needs to be coached on running a store. She was aware of the issue and continued to let her employees sell bad product! I filed a complaint with Starbucks corporate too. I think I'm going to break my Starbucks habit...just not worth the price, especially when you can't get what you want or end up with spoiled product. read more

Awesome awesome and absolutely awesome!!!!! I made a mobile order right before going into the store. As I approached the mobile order area the young man called me by my name and my order was ready!! The other young lady doing the drinks also greeted me. They smiled and their customer service was super!! The drink was perfectly made with light ice, just like I requested. My pastry was tasty. I got to admit this type of customer service is very pleasant and will keep me coming back! Placed my order online for 1 latte for my wife, 1 mocha for myself and a breakfast sandwich. The app stated that it would take 8-11 minutes to complete the order. That was fine since I was driving from my home which took about 12-15 minutes I figured the order would be waiting for me in a designated area for me to grab and go. However, it was not I stood in the designated area patiently waiting to be addressed by any barista that was looking at me or even the purple haired dude walking around me, not one person addressed me (aggression setting in). The woman at the counter was addressing 4 guys ordering their coffee when she was completed with them I approached the counter and asked about my order she asked did you order online yes about 25 minutes ago, where is my order? She asked my name and said I heated your breakfast sandwich earlier I thought we'll it's going to be cold, now I'm getting pissed she said let me check with the barista the coffees were ready but cold, now maybe I should've said make fresh but I shouldn't have had to (CUSTOMER SERVICE) the order should've been ready in the designated area as normal if I wanted to wait I would have went through the drive thru. Instead on my way out the door with 2 cold cups of coffee I dropped mine in the trash and exited with my wife's. On my drive home I called the store asked for the manager she said she was the one who handed me my order I asked then why the hell would you give me a cold order and not offer to make a fresh order. I told her i threw mine in the trash on the way out the door I was pissed I said your customer service is horrible I said you are the manager your staff stood there looking at me maybe because I was wearing a Mahomes Jersey, but not one of them addressed me. The employee making coffee looked my way several times while handing coffee to other customers. WHY AVOID ME. I told her I spend a lot of money at Starbucks but, I will never spend another dime at their store. TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A THING OF THE PAST IN CALIFORNIA NOW. I moved here almost a year ago and the very first time I came in EVERYONE was so friendly. I'm a nurse and I work nights and so many times through the week I stop here for my coffee (that everyone has memorized). They talk to you in the drive thru and get to know you- I LOVE this. I have been comped for mistakes (even when I say no no no) they are VERY MUCH about their customer service. I just want the managers and higher ups to know that I appreciate these people and this specific Starbucks- makes going into work that much better. also, there's a guy named Brandon who is awesome! I'm all for good vibes and laughs and this guy gets it- give him a raise or something great because employees like that come far and few. This location has absolutely claustrophobic bad planning, for both the drive thru and it's go in. Terrible parking on harsh angles of lot really in the way cramped. There is a manager younger girl who is SO mean, unsmiling, cold, rude, just horrible. Avoid this one, there's no point. read more

The caramel macchiato was good. But the drive thru employee was rude. Had a bad tone and instead of a iced water she marked down ice cup. She also never read back our order and when arriving to the window she just took our payment no words to us aswell as when handing our items. Sweetest person helped me this morning. We got a latte, coffee and two blueberry oatmeal's Togo. She packed them all up so quickly and added agave syrup and nuts and fruits to put in our oatmeal. I always have a great experience at this Starbucks. It's my favorite one to go to; there's one literally down the street from my house but I rather drive here. The employees are always so nice, kind, respectful, helpful, and efficient. I would give them all a raise if I could, especially during this time (covid) attitudes amazing. Have you ever been given an actual room temperature coffee when you ordered a normal hot coffee at a coffee shop where basically their entire job is to serve coffee at the correct temperature? The people working today pushed us out at 9:30, turned off the lights about 9:28 and then came out and told us they were closed. I was stunned because the other night I was given a half hour notice, someone came out and gave us a heads up. I felt the way they kicked us out today was rude, when the person who announced they were closed didn't see anyone moving she said sarcastically..."and nobody moved"... well yea, I didn't know you closed so early, and I am in the middle of writing a paper. All starbucks are not equal. That is a fact. I've been to some starbucks that just straight out sucked. I'm glad to say that this place is one of the better locations you can't complain. First off, I've never had a bad experience with the staff. They were and always been friendly. Their pastries are always stocked and Cafe clean. Expect this place to be crowded with college students. This location is one of my favorites and happens to be my go to because of it's proximity to my house. The staff here are friendly and provide excellent service! Brand new Starbucks in Marina, with a drive through! Starbucks hit a home run by placing a store in this commercial development. The store is staffed with experienced personnel from other area stores. This shop hit the ground running and it needed to be. The lines in the drive through are already forming. Marina Police have found it as well. It's not uncommon to see two or three police vehicles in the lot with the officers inside enjoying coffee or a snack. This Starbucks will appeal to students from nearby CSUMB, shoppers from the adjacent strip of big box department stores, locals and travelers passing on Highway One. read more

This particular location has been very disappointing lately. I swear that all last month (May) anytime i went to try and get a certain drink, they were always out of whatever it is that they use to make the drink. One time i went to the Starbucks in Marina (w/o the drive thru) and they actually had what I wanted. I was surprised. I ordered ahead on the app and it took them 20 minutes to get the drinks out. I get it when it gets busy I'm not expecting my drink to be done in 30 seconds, but I would appreciate if they had a better system of making the drinks. There's was 4 people making drinks and 2 people taking orders, other Starbucks locations I've been to have less people and are able to get the drinks out faster than they did. Always my favorite place before going to work in Seaside. You always run into someone you know here interestingly while having coffee. It is one of the better Starbucks in town. In the evening it is better because it is quiet with less people and you can enjoy the amazing fresh air. read more

My coffee is always perfect... once they make me the drink I ordered. The inconsistency at this location is second to none. I stop here because it's convenient on my drive from Salinas to Seaside but seriously, the communication between staff is practically non existent, I get the wrong drink 3 times out of 10, and when we order inside they always forget to make our food. Training is a really good tool that needs to be used! The stars though are for the staff. They have great personalities and energy! read more

It was quite busy when I came in this morning but the young lady up front was so sweet and really treated me as if I was more than just a transaction for this big corporation. To Sam working the drive thru window: Please slow down & pay attention when slinging scalding hot coffees through the window. When I was semi-handed my order, the extremely hot coffee was spilled onto my forearm since there was a sloppy, pooled amount of it on the lid. A lid which was lacking a very necessary stopper that should've been in there. Then hearing "Oh yeah haha! That would help" after I had to ask for one while it seemed gossiping with coworkers was more important to him. Whether or not that's what was going on, it came off like chatting was the priority and flinging the drink out the window in order to stay in the convo was the priority. read more
