Drive thru out of service so I ventured inside. I noticed due to pressure from Starbucks support of Genocide in Palestine as well as their price increases they are not as busy as they were years ago. picking and choosing who can order inside the store... I walked into this location planning to order inside. I walked to the counter and stood behind another male ordering. I was told there's a sign, insides closed. I kept my comments to myself about how someone was ordering right in-front of me and returned to my vehicle and waited in the never ending line. They ended up not having pumpkin spice and it didn't matter. But while I was exiting the drive-thru... another person was at the front counter ordering.... cmon now. read more

I liked this place before they closed for renovations. My drink orders were always correct and service was friendly. Now it seems the Varsity team has been largely replaced by a a gaggle of lethargic mouth-breathers with zero work ethic and a shared IQ of 5. I feel bad for the maybe two competent women there who do all the work while the rest of the crew scrapes around wasting oxygen. Not sure who's responsible for managing this location, but nothing will kill the morale of the passable baristas remaining like watching the majority of the crew practice garbage customer service and screw up the simplest drink orders due to poor training and apathy. Not to mention regularly running out of ingredients. What Starbucks in the country runs out of Pumpkin Spice in fall? Can't blame that on the sloths- that's just piss-poor management. Lord help us all if this location unionizes and gets even less efficient- or maybe it has and that's the issue?? Who knows. Either way...clown show. read more

Worse and worse over time. Out of product more often than not, particularly Expresso Roast, which is amazing as one would think inventory might be something the manager pays attention to. My favorite thing about this Starbucks is the fact that they have a drive-thru and are within close proximity to where other places where I shop. When it comes to coffee and I am in a rush, the convenience helps to elevate the experience. I come to this location often because of those two things. This Starbucks has all the same features that you expect from other Starbucks and the quality is about the same as about anywhere else. Overall, this location gets the job done and I can order from the drive-thru so I can keep going on about my day. read more

I have never encountered a friendly employee at this location. When I walk in in the mornings I always greet them and say thank you for my order, I have never once gotten a response from anyone. If you order in the mid morning or afternoon, I hope you have no where to be. Every order in the mid morning or afternoon takes at least 20 minutes for them to complete. When you ask them about it, you get an attitude. Employees chat with friends and customers while they're behind the counter, so I'm guessing that could be one of the issues. read more

Ordered a ice matcha (light ice) as the girl went to make my drink she dumped the powder on the ice looked at her coworker and laughed i get my drink and it is just clumps of matcha powder - not busy at all maybe 5-10 drinks and manager is sitting at table watching this. I see her make another matcha as i had to literally declump the matcha in my drink for 5 minutes and see her make it properly where she diluted it FIRST THEN POUR OVER ICE. Most Starbucks are the same. But this one stood out. In the shittiest way. Y'all know the coffee quality is gonna be the same because they're all a chain so we're gonna talk about customer service. I ordered something really simple - a fuckin cold foam cold brew. I waited 20+ minutes for my drink, standing near the pick up area. However, I notice everyone who came in after me got their drinks before me - even this girl who ordered 4 frappes. Idk if they're racist or not, but I was the only Asian customer and everyone after (and before me) were white. After standing there for a while, a worker asks "what are you waiting for??" ... my drink obviously, which he took my order for and saw me waiting there for the past 20 minutes. read more

Despite my being difficult at the drive through window, our server named Liam was MOST friendly and professional may I add. I apologized to him at the window as my questions about each drink were excessive to him. He maintained his cool and, yes, professionalism. Quite knowledgeable about all drinks and its ingredients. Not giving 5 stars because the window can and has been excessively long and slow extending into Cortlandt Town Center entrance roadway. They need more staffing bc sometimes the cashier is seen waiting on customers at the register in person simultaneously to the window customers. read more

Im definitely surprised to see that this Starbucks has two stars. It actually deserves one star. I went in yesterday with My Daugther. There were three employees two were on their phone, one was actually working taking orders in the drive-through. I stood there for maybe five minutes until someone came to the register to help me she wasn't friendly, the service was terrible. read more

Just unbelievable at how POORLY MANAGED and STAFFED this particular store is! So I was in the mood for my go-to beverage: a Trenta sized 'Sweetened' Iced-Coffee, black. Despite pronouncing every single syllable as if I were spelling it to an illiterate person (hey, I've been here before!), I got my beverage with NO sweetener and the wrong size, a Venti! So yes, this location has nice people but the drinks are hit or miss lately. Not sure why you can't ever get the same drink twice and have the taste be consistent. They're very nice and always willing to do it over but one time I had to have mine made over three times. yeahhhhh.... like everyone says, its slow as all hell. I'm better off to buy a French press and let my cold brew sit overnight. it would probably take just as long. Seems like there are always at least 5 people behind the counter but only 2 doing something substantial. Service is SO slow. I kid you not, I was the only person in the store and there were EIGHT employees behind the counter. I ordered a simple iced coffee. It took a good 5 minutes before someone took my order. Another 5 minutes went by and I had to remind them that I ordered something so they could get started on it. I've never considered writing a review for Starbucks. They're largely the same, which is part of the point, right? I've been to probably hundreds of locations over the years, in many states and a few countries, and I can confidently say that this is one of the worst. This is my local Starbucks, so I've been here quite a few times. Today I've been sitting here for an hour and a half or so working on something, and here is what I've experienced and observed: - It's been filthy since I came in. There's a dirty Ziploc bag sitting on the counter where you order, trash overflowing, paper and food all over the floor by the milk and sugar station, etc. None of the employees have come out from behind the counter since I got here. - The pastry case has been almost empty since I came in. I asked if they were out of everything and the barista replied with a curt "no, what do you want?" - My drink was forgotten. Not sure if the cup was lost or what. Whatever, it happens. But since I've been sitting near the counter for 90 minutes, at least 3 other people have experienced the same thing. That's more than one lost/forgotten drink every 30 minutes. - The milk/half and half ran out at about an hour ago and no one has refilled the carafes. They just keep handing the store brand milk cartons out to everyone to at the counter. - These are pretty subjective things, but it's always freezing cold in here, no matter the season. The music is always extremely loud. And I regularly see baristas without nametags/aprons. I don't really care about that, but it is a testament to how little the staff cares. - They're out of grande lids and pumpkin spice. It's midafternoon in September - gonna be a long rest of the day in the suburbs without that pumpkin spice. So I felt compelled to write a review today. Unfortunately I will probably be back because there aren't a lot of options around here. But if YOU have the option: avoid! read more

I love Starbucks but my experience here was awful. I placed a mobile order ahead of time and waited for about 15 minutes once I got there. There were no orders being made inside and they were giving priority to the drive thru. Multiple mobile order customers were standing there waiting. One person was making drinks, one was just standing at the drive thru window and another barista kept walking back and forth. After finally getting our drinks, one tasted like water and the other had whipped cream when it was ordered without. One of the baristas fixed the watery beverage but the whole thing was time consuming and disappointing. I would have understood if they were really busy but there wasn't much going on. read more

I know this is a coffee shop, but I figured since the brand prides itself as being above the average fast food/coffee shop, that their panini would be worth its $5 and change. Moral: Don't buy the tomato and mozzarella panini. I thought it would be at least okay considering the high price, but half the panini was empty (literally only one half of this long panini had a small circle of cheese, tomato and basil). I went back and asked for them to fix it, they gave me a new panini which was even worse (once again half the panini was empty and the basil looked sickly, definitely expired). The girl at the window was nice, but didn't solve the problem. She said she hoped the new panini was to my liking but added she could not fix it because the paninis were "pre-made." I've worked in fast food and pre-made usually means a worker put it together in the morning and then refrigerates it--meaning the store has all the products if it needs to be fixed--but I guess Starbucks just ships pre-wrapped paninis...yuck. I should have just asked for a refund. read more

The Starbucks at Cortland Manor is the worst Starbucks I have ever been too. Tonight they had no ice Venti cups, how is that possible? They refused to put the Ice Latte in a Trenta cup with additional ice as "thats against the rule". Both Mahopac and Carmel do it. In any case no matter how many times spoken to the female and male assist managers and the manager the employee still do not use the shaker to make the strawberry refresher. The drive through is slow . Stay away from this Starbucks as its NOT improving. If you don't mind getting out of your car, Carmel and Mahopac ( inside Stop and Shop) are outstanding. Ok, you all know what to expect at SBUX in terms of coffee, tea & pastries. Here's what you need to know about this one in particular. First: This is a brand new building on the former site of a Toyota delaership that was demolished and 2 buildings were built on the site. One houses a Vitamin Shoppe and the other is shared by SBUX and Smashburger. Parking sucks for everyone, probably due to the "newness" factor, so we opted for the drive thru. Second: If you're going to the drive thru, make sure you have a full tank of gas, otherwise you may find yourself on empty before you get your drink on. Well maybe they're slow because they're new, but S-L-O-W is how they roll. Third: I used obscure terms like Small and Medium. Maybe that's why my order was wrong. Ordered a Med, got a Small. I wish there was an option to give negative stars. There were two people ahead of me in the drive thru. I ordered an Americano and a pumpkin scone (not warmed). It took 14 minutes - seriously, 14 minutes! When it was finally my turn at the window to pick up my drink, they didn't even open the window...they just kept it closed until my order was ready, gave me the food and drink and THEN took my payment. Inexperienced (I know it's a new store, but they couldn't get ANYONE to transfer in?) Barista's that could care less about customers or the Starbucks brand. Got a tall HOT bold coffee, crossaint and a cold brew. The cold brew was ok. The crossaint was the usual. The problem was the hot coffee was room temperature. Don't get me wrong I understand if the store not brewing coffee after a certain time in the afternoon or evening but if so why are u serving room temperature coffee? You could do pour over or just say we don't have it. Now for the staff. One person was dedicated for drive-Thur orders and didn't deal with him. The cashier was on while ringing up the order but had the expression on her dace as to why am I making her walk to the pick up counter ti give me my crossaint. There were 2 baristas, one was doing about 75% of the work and the other was gossiping with someone on the coustomer side. I know that she has a vacation coming up and has a friend that got fired from other job that she is telling to apply fr a job here. My suggestion to the manager/owner please improve on your service. Its not prompt or even semi professional. And more importantly if people come for hot coffee please serve hot coffee not dregs or room temp coffee. I would suggest doing pour over if its possible or don't sell coffee after a certain time. read more

What is the point of a drive-thru if it takes just as long as walking in and ordering??? My friend asked me to drive her to the airport in the afternoon. She said this sbux had a drive-thru...something I've only seen in Long Island, but is excellent when you're rushed for time. So we drive up and are asked to wait before we can order...then wait at the pick up window. We waited several minutes. I eventually put the car in park because my foot got tired of pressing the brake. The window opened and I got my coffee, but had to wait longer for my friend's breakfast sandwich and small beverage. Maybe it's just me, but I'm used to more attentive and communicative service. Especially at a drive-thru window, people are expecting expedited service. The window closed before I could ask for a straw or some napkins. On the bright side, the coffee was good. So still a fan of Starbucks, just not this one. read more

The employees are constantly socializing inside making their jobs last priority but don't communicate about the task at hand. I've been asking what I ordered when I pull up to pay for my food/drink, I've been asked my drink order over and over at the order window. I've also placed mobile orders that weren't done when I got there. This location has such potential but it's seriously falling short. My husband and I couldn't wait for this Starbucks to open especially since it has a drive thru. The first few times we went the service was very slow but we just chalked it up to a new place and new staff.......... Fast forward MONTHS OF BEING OPEN and they're even slower!
