It's crazy how bad this starbucks is!! The slowest service and after waiting 15mins for a mobile order...it was still wrong. I've been here at least 10x (convenient location) and have yet to get the correct order. Plus the store is dirty..always. One trip there was milk all over the floor and a worker coming back off break commented "that's still there?". Garbage is always over flowing. Two stars because it's gotten better, but a year ago it was 0-1 star. They are frequently out of nearly everything on the menu, and there is varying skill level among the baristas. I had ordered a caramel macchiato that had no caramel in it. I was at the drive-thru, but because of this I parked and walked in to ask them to put some caramel in it. When I did, they were polite, but still did not put enough. I could not taste any at all. They seemed to have gotten better but are still frequently out of most items on the menu, which leads me to believe that management is questionable. This Starbucks really has potential, but they're failing exponentially. The wait for the drive thru is ridiculous. They tell you to hold on, meanwhile you hear the drive thru person laughing while telling you to wait. Then they giggle while taking your order and obviously can't comprehend it the first time so they ask you to repeat it. I mean, if you're okay with waiting over 30 minutes for a simple iced tea, then by all means come here. Because that's exactly what you'll get. ^all of that is still true. Agree with the other reviewers about slow service. On my most recent visit when I got up to the counter there were...7 empty cups with the orders written on them waiting to be made, and 1 employee to make them. I ordered 2 drinks so that brought it up to 9 drinks, and then there were at least 3 more people behind me in line. Luckily another employee came over to help get things moving and I had my drinks within 5 minutes which I didn't think was too bad. I go to this Starbucks anywhere from 2-4 days a week. They always have my express order ready to go and always great me with a smile. They know me by name and have even gone above and beyond the one time they messed up my order. They forgot my oatmeal one day and I didn't even complain. I came back the next day and I was given a gift card with a wonderful apology note. It was the highlight of my day. I highly recommend them. read more

So poorly run. When I entered the store, there was one other person in line. I gave my order, one drink, and waited. And waited. And waited, Meanwhile, three staffers found time to gather near the kitchen door and chat. When I asked about my drink, the barista said it was coming. Waited some more. I have a couple of issues with this Starbucks that have caused a 1 star review. One, if they close at 9:30 on a Sunday and I come in at 7:50, why are they already closed? Two, how are they ALWAYS out of everything, but the Yorktown Starbucks seems to magically always have a stacked inventory DESPITE being smaller? Three, it takes FOREVER to get your order. Moses crossed the Red Sea faster than the baristas can get your drinks out. Four, there is this garbage area in the back, and no one closed it (could also be Smashburger's fault) but that damn door swung and HIT MY CAR. Honestly just took the L and sat there because it was whatever, but god forbid it was one of those people who pull up in a Cadillac or Benz, yeah that would have been a huge no. Five, I asked for a frapp, and for some weird reason...they put the whip cream in the middle? How do you...do that? HOW DO YOU PUT WHIP CREAM IN THE MIDDLE? They're literally 5/5 here for reasons, might as well just give them a 0 but I can't. read more

The baristas here are great and positive to customers but you can tell they're overworked and understaffed. The line was blocking route 6. I always order ahead and my order was still late. I was informed there was a new manager, but this location has always been awful since it opened. The drive thru is ridiculously slow and impacts the whole town. This is the absolute worst Starbucks location I've ever been to and sadly it's my town. I feel so awful for the kids who work there. I'd give it one star but they have a good attitude given the circumstances and I tipped them a little bit more than I would only because like I said "I'm sure you're day is going to get worse." They lost me as a customer today. I am usually a weekly customer.. Not any more. Today I placed an order for a Trenta Iced Coffee and a Grande Peppermint Mocha. I was given a time frame of 4-9minutes. We walked in maybe 3 minutes after the order was placed and the Trenta Iced Coffee was ready. 5 minutes goes by.. 10 minutes goes by.. Im still waiting for my drink. 12 minutes goes by I ask the girl behind the counter the status of my drink she goes "we ran out of mocha." Ok were you going to tell us because I've been standing here patiently waiting for over 12 minutes and the other drink was ready. She goes we have to make more, so I asked "ok how long is it going to take?" She goes "I dont know." After that, I lost it-- your gonna make me wait over 12 minutes for my drink and not tell me a) you have no more mocha or b) how long its going to take to make more? Then she said she can give me a $4 recovery card. My boyfriend and I said no I want to see a manger and she said she is the manger then walked away from us. I went to another employee and demanded a refund for my drink and spoke to another person who claimed to also be the manager. I explained they lost us as customers and need to get it together to get there ratings higher than a 1.5 stars. I will be writing directly to management as well. read more

I am not surprised that this Starbucks has bad reviews. Waited in my car far too long waiting to even give them my order, then when I yelled hello into the microphone they finally took my order. This place makes Starbucks look so bad. I've been there twice and I think I'm done. Despite the fact that it's a very convenient location it is run by very inexperienced young people. There seems to be no manager and no form of knowledge about anything. The first time I went in it took me about 30 mins to order and get my coffee maybe more and it was a cup of syrup (I got a pumpkin spice latte) I had to have them make me a new one. I saw a lot of other people get their drinks and be dissatisfied. Today I went again and I ordered a tea. Pretty simple. I ordered first and then my friend ordered a tea as well about 10 mins later. He got his right away but that was after they had to ask three different workers which tea was decaf. Then I had to remind him to get me mine which he went to make iced and I reminded him was hot. Newly built and just opened, this Starbucks seems to have a little more open space than usual. Tables are not in abundance, but they do have an outdoor seating area. Coffee is as expected, getting in and out was easy, and I'm looking forward to making good use of the drive-thru. read more

I am being generous by giving this location one star. I can't completely blame the employees because they are a reflection of this poorly managed location. My orders are almost always incorrect, one time it took them four times to give me a white mocha and not a mocha. The pastries are almost always out of stock and while I have suggested they increase the stock especially on the pound cakes nothing has been done. I ordered a black tall coffee, my husband ordered a black coffee made in their clover machine, the order was forgotten about until the staff was reminded. There's been some reviews here about how pitifully slow this location's service is . . . and here's another one. I waited 12 minutes for one Frapuccino during a time when five people were behind the counter and it wasn't that busy. Had this been my first such experience, I would have overlooked it. But this is at least the third one. Other people were waiting similarly long times. They appear to focus on the drive thru customers while ignoring the ones in the store. And why three people are standing around laughing while customers go unserved is beyond me. Avoid this place unless you like wasting your time. read more

Two stars because a few of the employees are really great. I've been here a couple times in the evenings, though, when the employees were talking openly about taking illegal drugs. You can't come to this location without at least one off-duty employee coming in and distracting the employees who are on the clock. Drive-thru is clearly the priority (I've ordered at the counter as the only person in the store, and have waited FOREVER for a simple iced coffee). Which is odd, because when I go through the drive-thru, it also takes forever. Oh, and the music in this location is DEAFENING. Noise-canceling headphones are no match for this place. As someone who visits Starbucks numerous times a day, this location is the only location I've ever had consistent problems with. They are always out of syrup or earl grey tea. I don't understand how this can happen so often. They don't know how to make certain drinks (even standard menu drinks, like a London fog, are beyond their ability). When they do have everything in stock and know how to make it expect to wait 20 minutes for your drink. The staff here needs some serious retraining and maybe better management to step in. Okay..........old building gone.......new construction.......and behold it's a STAR BUCKS! Ambiance is nice, bright and spacious! No cozy comfy chairs here just hard ones. Sunday evening, not much caffeine traffic, but the ratio of staff to customer was higher than normal. I thought maybe it was due to the added feature of a drive through. But this ratio did nothing to the overflowing garbage behind the counter and at the self serve station or to my order or to the lady waiting at my side for more than five minutes to get her order which was messed up. Although, we were served with an apology. I ordered a simple Chai Latte. Which took more than 40 seconds for the teenaged staff to understand...... Special request : more tea less milk. I remember being so excited to hear that a Starbucks, with a drive through option, was opening on my commuting route to work. Having now experienced this particular Starbucks' drive through service and walk-in service, I can confidently say that this is the slowest one that I have ever been to. I have timed my experience waiting in the drive through line, with only three cars ahead of me, to upwards of 20 minutes. I have gone in and waited approximately the same stretch of time for my drink. And today, having used the order-ahead app option in hopes of mitigating time wasted, I arrived to see that my drink was prepared, but the food that I had requested was unmade. I waited an additional 10 min, but never got farther than seeing the cup for my oatmeal placed on the counter and labeled before I was forced to leave without it, as I had other places to be. I don't understand how his place can be so inefficient and unorganized. To their credit, there are baristas there that truly are working hard and trying to provide good service and I can see that they are frustrated. I don't know if it's short staffing, disorganization or other, but I will be driving the two extra minutes to the Barnes and Nobel with the shopping center for my coffee from now on. read more
