I've been to this Starbucks so many times and it's one of my favorite locations! The employees are kind and quick. Even if I walk in to pick up an order someone will greet me with a smile. I would place an order and it would be ready in less than 5 minutes, even if I have a bigger order or even on busy mornings. I have never had a problem with the tastes of the drinks as I have in other locations. There are lots of space to get your work done and I love that they have lots of windows to allow natural lighting to come in. It's always clean at this location. There is parking in the front, back, and side of the building. Some are metered parking so you might have to pay if you want the convenient spots. Today I went to visit the location since they recently opened back up. You do have to place an order ahead of time for pick up. They had the two front doors wide open. When you walk in there is a table with your order on it. There is a plastic shield to protect you and the employees against each other. They seriously got my order out so quick! Disappointed :( ordered an iced latte with almond milk, and they called my name to pick up my drink only to find out they accidentally made a hot latte. No big deal, and I'm not the type to get upset over this fact as we're all human and make mistakes. I politely let them know that I actually ordered the iced latte, and she asked if she wants to just pour the current beverage over ice? That really confused me...I just said yes since I was in a rush, and I hate wasting but I was a little bit shocked with the response there. She ended up pouring it over ice...and the whole thing was a mess. I had a pretty hot/warm iced latte. They were polite about it but again, whole thing surprised, especially for this location. read more

I enjoyed my visit to this Starbucks. I ordered ahead and got the Impossible breakfast sandwich and sweet cream cold brew. The impossible meat tastes very similar to real meat! Other toppings are cheese and egg. The sweet cream cold brew is just delicious! Their cold brew is very smooth and not bitter at all. If I could give zero I would...completely unacceptable customer service. Came in person to order and pay in advance for travel packs for a shower...pick up time on order. Come at said pick up time with receipt no one knows about order and the girl who helped me in the am said sorry we've been really busy. Now I'm waiting for coffee to brew and be packaged...going to be late to shower. All I got was a shoulder shrug and lame excuse. Very good service and great quality drinks. My order is always something fresh and unique from the off menu selection. They had no trouble level at all. I love this Starbucks! I will go to the New Albany Target and skip getting Starbucks inside...leave from the parking lot while looking at the Starbucks just in front of the shopping plaza...and drive a few miles to this Starbucks :) My drinks are always made exactly how I like them! It is both peaceful and entertaining depending on the time of day to sit outside. Library is ca few feet away so if you forget your book there is easy access to pick up a good read No drive thru but that's perfectly okay with me...decreases the traffic and wait time. read more

This is a terrible location!! Always dirty and service is super slow. There were 5 people working behind the counter (using the word working loosely!). Only one guy was making drinks. As a transplant from downtown, used to walking next door to get my starbucks, this location, a short drive from my office, is a good replacement. The staff doesn't rock as hard as the staff on Front Street, but they're fast, attentive, and friendly. It's great people watching, too, since I'm not from New Albany. Freaks. read more

Yes, yes, it's Starbucks, so you know what to expect from the menu and environment. That means what sets one apart from another are the people who work there, and the patrons who go there. For the former, this Starbucks has maybe the best employees I've ever come across. So friendly and helpful...on my last visit Tonya helped me figure out what to order, basically making me a custom drink. On one occasion I was greeted by name at the front counter. I don't go often enough for them to know my name...she had read it on my employee badge. Either way, it felt good to be welcomed that way. Now, for the patrons, it is true what a few reviewers have said: this place gets very busy after school. If I can't get there by 2:30, I'm usually driving to the next Starbucks to avoid the scene. It's not just the line or the lack of seats, but you really can't hear yourself think. That said, they do a pretty good job keeping up with online orders, so if you can run in and pick something up, that usually works. read more

Since August, I've gotten a Chi Latte at this location one to five times per week. I continue to go back due to proximity to my home and great service. The staff addresses me by name and remembers my order. The few times that my order was not filled correctly, I was promptly given a free drink coupon. So why just three stars you ask? Again, this is not a reflection of the service. It is due to three things. 1). This location is ALWAYS super busy. There is always a line and never super close parking. I should note, however, that there is ample parking behind the plaza. 2). There is no drive-thru. Sometimes a girl just wants to buy tea in her pajamas. 3). TOO MANY KIDS!!! In the morning, there are toddlers running everywhere. Today one was screaming "I want my cinnamon roll" over and over. In the afternoon, I think the school buses just drop the preteens off at the door. If you want good tea with friendly service and aren't in a super hurry, this is your spot. If you are looking for a quiet, kid free zone to relax, study, or work, I would not recommend. read more

The positives: Great customer service. Nice location. It used to be a nice place to walk to from my house for a relaxing cup of coffee and a snack or sandwich. The Negatives: Now it's become a library. Overrun with entitled New Albany High School students. They sit for hours. Most have no manners, they don't tip the baristas. They leave trash on the floors, tables, etc. No supervision. When they do clear out the store is a complete mess! So completely frustrating!!! read more

I used to love this Starbucks. Warm and welcoming and the staff were wonderful. Not sure what changed about a year ago but things are not well in the New Albany Starbucks. Less and less room is given to seating, more space given to merchandise and stacking of boxes and boxes and boxes of stuff that should be in the storeroom. Almost everyone I have spoken to here has complained about the lack of tables when more are needed, not less. A group of us have met in here pretty much every Friday for at least the last 4 1/2 years. Today we had finally had it and moved to another venue. It's become a place of interminable business meetings with one or two people taking up a table for four, and there are lots of other groups who seem to meet there too now - and we are fed up of not being able to find anywhere to sit. I'm desperately hoping that with the new buildings finally opening that someone will open up another coffee / tea shop to cope with the number of people here. Spot on the other reviewers who've mentioned the influx of children when school finishes at 2:30. And although I don't have a problem with them being there, some of them really need to learn some manners! Unfortunately there is nowhere else for these children to go to hang out. read more

This is a favorite Starbucks for me. A huge plus with it being where I live, but also its a great atmosphere and great employees. If you can snag a spot in the late morning early afternoon its a great place to get out of the house and get some work done. If it's during the school year though, and it's after school it can be crazy busy with a lot of kids running around, but to me that's not a huge complaint. That's what coffee places are supposed to be like; lively and energetic at times, but calm and a productive place too. I don't drink coffee. I don't like it. So it wasn't my idea to go in. But when we did, there were no tables available, just a few chairs. So we moved two of them after we ordered. 20 mins later Mr. Bearded Millennial dude storms over to us with his red face and BARKS that we need to move because we are blocking HIS merchandise. No pleasantries or professional behavior at all. I am fairly certain the person I was with restrained himself to the maximum level because he really was NOT pleased. If there was an issue the other employed individuals could have and should have said something. And he could have handled the situation with a lot more class instead of making himself look like a pompous, arrogant, yet comical little tool with his chest all puffed out like the head rooster on a 2nd rate farm. Hit and miss staff. Some are very helpful and nice, others are rude and unhelpful. If you have allergies- beware! They will give you a generic blank statement that whatever you are allergic to is in everything without bothering to look. They also do not have a master allergen list. I use to love this location, but since the last manager (short skinny female that always looks pissed off) with zero personality ran off all the great staff and now it has 100% turnover. Wow this has to be the worst experience at a Starbuck's we've EVER had. How do you catch all 3 staff members just all in a bad mood! It was an hour before closing time and you would have thought we walked in at 8:56 PM. Nasty cashier who clearly told us 'yea whatever' after we asked her how she was because of the dreadful scowl she had on her face. The unit was a mess and they were all moving at snails pace. They were tossing equipment parts around and it was just so odd. It was like that they just had a bad fight. We ordered 4 drinks and that too annoyed them. We ordered 2 pour overs that had so many grounds in them we could not finish the coffee. Won't be going back any time soon. read more
