This went from being a favorite Starbucks of mine to least favorite with a recent remodel. Not sure where the direction came from but it was totally misdirected. Instead of being that unique community feel, the lack of comfortable seating, outlets and stark design makes you want to get out asap. Too bad for the loyal regulars. read more

This used to be my favorite Starbucks. I love the location and it's a very social, lovely place. However, the past 2 times I have been here, the service has been horrible. I had to wait forever for a cold drink to be made as most of the Baristas were standing around. The staff seems to be all new or just completely confused as to how to make the drinks and move the line along. There was only one person ahead of me and it took nearly 20 minutes to get a cold Passion tea. read more

Terribly long wait for a simple iced coffee. One person taking orders, one person making drinks, TWO people cleaning and stocking behind the counter, and one other person having an extended conversation with 2 guests across the counter while lazily pretending to attend to one drink at the espresso machine. read more

I was so looking forward to Starbucks Newtown reopening after renovations. It had been by far my favorite Starbucks to visit. Upon entering I was immediately disappointed. The floors were filthy... the new tile that was installed is light and shows all the dirt and grime. The seating is cold, uncomfortable and limited. The atmosphere completely lost it's charm with the renovation. I was surprised at the limited selection of bakery items available as it seemed they ran out of everything. As for the coffee... my latte could have been hotter. The cinnamon jar was completely empty. I was absolutely underwhelmed. It's as though a part of Newtown's charm is now lost. :-( read more

I enjoy Starbucks and this location. It's right in the middle of town and you can sit outside and enjoy your coffee and the weather. My only complaint is the long wait and it's a bit dirty. The tables and chairs always have some kind of spill marks and crumbs and the bathrooms are just filthy. I'm sure if they fixed those things up it would be much more appealing. I stopped in here for the first time on the way to a hair cut. Tuesday evening - packed. Friday morning - packed. Expect a little wait no matter when you go. As always with Starbucks, my order met my expectations. Larger than most I've been too. read more

This is a solid Starbucks, they are slow compared to other Starbucks, especially any of the busy ones in NYC or Philly, but always friendly.

Really not my favorite location. Parking is terrible and the staff is slow. The shop itself is one if the nicer shops but as its on the main strip in Newtown it really has to be. read more

It is hard to find a seat. I used to like the front window seating that was taken away as well as the benches in the rear of the store.

This is generally a great location. I stop in whenever I'm in the area and its right down the street from my salon. My drink is always perfect and the customer service here is great. The employees are really friendly and relatively speedy for a Starbucks. The only downside to this place is that there is only street parking (or a short walk from the city lot) and you'll have to resist rolling your eyes at some of the snooty customers (but that's just Newtown). read more

This is the worst Starbucks and it is EVERY SINGLE TIME I GO. The line is always long, they usually only have one person making drinks. HOORAY that the workers are nice, but they need to increase efficiency. I now go OUT OF MY WAY to avoid going here. However, today I had to go and was told that "several days ago" a worker made a mistake regarding the cold brew so they haven't had any for days. Well - if they had a smarter management team they would go to Yardley, brew it after hours and have it available (just one solution). Number 2, fix it promptly. I am a regular customer of Starbucks but I don't like this location. The store overall is really nice but the last time I was there a few of the staff members were talking about a customer in earshot like a bunch of middle school kids. Another time, I overheard employees talking about other employees. Most of the staff seemed nice but some of the afternoon staff needs to grow up. I would like to find out if there any smaller family owned coffee shops around, although I may be hard-pressed to find one since they probably could not compete with this chain. read more

I have always had nothing but positive experiences at this Starbucks, and the coffee and staff have always been so kind. However, tonight (Thursday at 9 PM) I left feeling humiliated and unwelcome. There were two employees left, who gave us irritated looks when we walked in, as it was an hour before closing time. I get we live in suburbia and everyone is in bed by 8 o'clock, but seriously? My friend and I sat down while deciding what to order and proceeded to catch up on our lives and some more personal topics (we were quiet and nothing was TOO personal). When I looked up, the one employee (grey beanie and piercings) was visibly leaning over the counter whispering into the female employees ear while gesturing at us. Afterwards, they both burst into laughter and stared at us. I felt so humiliated and wasn't even sure what I was being made fun of for. I felt so unwelcome that I decided not to order anything, but I went up with my friend while she ordered. The male employee reminded us that they were closing in 18 minutes precisely in a very kind and polite way, and we headed over to the table to get our stuff together. We sat down, thinking we could get less than 5 minutes more of warmth when I saw and heard the male employee telling another employee that they were closing in 15 minutes now, and that she should remind us. Really, 3 minutes later and you need to pursue in kicking us out THAT much? There were at least 10 other people still inside as well. The employees (especially the pierced young man) seemed very unhappy to be working, even though they should feel grateful to only have to work until 10 PM at night; mine are much longer and I have never ONCE kicked someone out of my restaurant unless we were actually closing. It will be a while before I return, but when I do, I hope I don't see the same staff again. read more

This is the best Starbucks I ever been to. Everyone here is friendly and on top of there game. The best teamwork family here. I love using the mobile app bc it's quick. Baristas were friendly and the coffee was well made. Wi-Fi worked well all day without a hiccup. The atmosphere is pleasant and a rear entrance makes exit to the parking lot behind the stores easy. Everyone in town comes here, and it's exterior and interior blend in with the community. read more

I get the same drink from Starbucks everyday. I do not always go to the Newtown store, but I do stop here at least twice a week. It is literally hit or miss that my drink is made properly. I get a green tea lemonade. The proper name is shaken green tea lemonade. There are a lot of times they forget to put the lemonade in. But mostly the barista tries to take a short cut and not put it in the shaker cup and shake it. I know it sounds petty but it is how the drink is supposed to be made and it makes a difference to me. Today when I saw the girl did not shake it I asked her to shake it. She proceeded to swirl it around in the cup, getting it all over the outside and then hands it to me. I honestly couldn't believe it. Usually, when I ask the barista to please shake it they get the shaker cup and shake it. But this girl got an attitude as she could see my reaction and put it down and walked away. I will not be going back to the Newtown store. They really need to train their baristas on the proper way to make each drink. read more
