The staff... both the guy with the tablet who took my order while I was in the drive-thru line-and the gal at the window-were so warm, friendly, chill and helpful. I'd go back just to bask in their positivity! But kindness isn't the only thing on the menu. There's coffee, tea, plant-based energy drinks, Italian sodas... and dozens (I think 75) of flavors you can add to them. In a fist visit, I usually start with chai tea latte... but today I asked for suggestions and ended up with a hot hibiscus tea with added pear flavoring. It was so floral and different! Hello new year! This knocked "the usual" on its head. I'm not sure that it will end up being my favorite offering here, but yeah... here's to shaking things up! I also tried the rainbow bagel-which was pretty and tasty. I liked the chew. Next time I'll try the strawberry cream cheese with it. There are filled croissants, too... but I forgot to ask about the flavors-and you can get mini donuts, too. White Duck was founded by a couple of Seattle transplants, who wanted to bring the "two windows in a shed" model of Pacific Northwest coffee shops to the Bay Area. And that's exactly what this is-a drive thru-no indoor seating-and I didn't see any outdoor tables, either. This is grab and go. But there's parking behind the building, if you want to sit and savor a bit. The shop is way up on North Dale Mabry-near Van Dyke-on the east side, right next to a Wendy's. It wasn't busy when I first got there but there at 8:30 on a Wednesday morning, but it soon picked up. I can see why... it's so convenient and the staff is so nice. They really stand out. I can't wait to stop in again and try more! I read on the website that the owners lost a child to cancer and part of the proceeds from each purchase goes to research. As most Dutch Bros locations you can only walk up or drive through (no indoor dining options). They had two employees outside taking orders instead of using the drive thru speaker. They have an Expansive drink menu with limited food options. The chorizo wrap on the menu looked good though I didn't order food this trip. Medium iced nonfat caramel latte came to $5.83 and I tipped a dollar since the employee was out in the blazing sun taking orders. I let the employee know that it was my first time being there and since I was unable to see the menu I asked a couple of questions. Caramel latte is pretty good. It's not very sweet, but most of the caramel is on the bottom of the cup. Overall, their drinks are priced pretty closely to Starbucks. They've become popular in the area so I will definitely return and likely download the app to start earning rewards.

The rest of the bagel was good, too... nice chewy-to-crunchy ratio... soothing, comforting... everything you want it to be-and I liked the way it was packaged and served, on a little wooden tray. I loved the peaceful early morning vibes in here so much, I stayed almost too long, to get to an appointment on time (almost). I'll go back (for sure) when I'm not on deadline. There are so many other things to try, from boba tea to pastries and crepes. There's a comfy couch and chairs, two high top counters and several tables, where you can work, study or hang with friends. It's spotlessly clean and the employees I encountered were nice. Even the cups and the sleeves felt like good quality products, as if the owners get that people want a hot cup of joe ;-) I thought it was a great touch to have the logo on the sleeve too. I love a small business and definitely wanted to try this place (hoping to pry my wife away from the chain shop). I love checking out local markets, roadside stands, and small businesses whenever I can, so I finally made my way over. First thing I see when I pull up: $12.99 for a seeded watermelon. Listen... we're in Florida. I see people selling watermelons off the side of the road for $5-$6 all the time. The seedless ones were $8.99, which somehow made the seeded watermelon price even more surprising. Unless that $12.99 watermelon comes with a guarantee that it's going to be the sweetest, juiciest watermelon of my entire life, I just can't do it. Once I walked around, I was also surprised by the produce selection. I expected a much larger variety, especially for a farmers market. I actually stopped because I needed cabbage and don't remember seeing any. They DO have some really cool local products--grass-fed meats, seafood, juices, goat milk, soaps and other specialty items--and I definitely appreciate the emphasis on local products and supporting local businesses. It's a cute little market and clearly they have plenty of loyal customers because they seem to do very well. For me, though, the prices were just too high across the board. Even seeing bars of soap around $12.99 had me thinking about the goat milk soap I can pick up at the Safety Harbor Sunday Market instead. So this isn't really a "bad review." It's more of a not-for-me review. I've visited quite a few farmers markets and genuinely enjoy shopping local, but part of the appeal for me is finding good local products at reasonable prices. Keystone just didn't hit that mark for me. If shopping local is your priority and you don't mind paying a premium for it, absolutely stop in and check it out. It's cute, they have some unique products, and you may love it. Personally, I'll stick with Aldi, Publix, my other local markets, and that person on the side of the road selling me a $5 watermelon.

Their boiled peanuts were good but to be honest, pretty overpriced, and you have to find an employee to go get them. I got some small batch chips and an independently brewed soda and a couple of other things. Still ended up dropping over $30. But hey, you can feed and pet the cows? Which is very cool. For the drive (almost an hour for me), I might keep looking for my perfect Farmers Market.
