We usually enjoy Starbucks, especially since we stayed at the Ramada in Olympia. It's really convenient, and they have a great selection, plus outdoor seating. I have a handicap placard, so I noticed the seating area, but I felt a bit out of place using it since I'm not in a wheelchair. When we walked in, no one greeted us, and there was a long pause before the server came over and just asked, 'What can I get you?' The drink was fine, but it had a bit less coffee flavor than we usually like. It was early, but a simple greeting really makes a difference, and everyone should be welcomed. Great improvements! Atmosphere is 100% better; the food is fresh and salads not wilted; it's open many more hours; the menu is improved and daily specials are consistently satisfying. It's got that old school music on from the 70s and of course the big screen TVs that I could take or leave, but it has that old trad country cafe feel to it. They are even offering dessert now and tonight I had the cheesecake after my meatloaf sandwich and salad and of course, a schooner of really good beer on tap. Come try this place out. It may not be all organic or anything, but it is a great neighborhood restaurant and we're lucky to have them in the community. read more

I am incredibly disappointed by my experience at this Starbucks location on Marvin Road. While peacefully exercising my constitutional right to gather signatures for a state-certified petition, I was aggressively kicked out by management. I was staying completely clear of the entrance, not obstructing foot traffic, and maintaining a respectful, polite attitude with customers. Washington State has a strong legal precedent protecting the initiative and petition process in public-facing commercial spaces, yet the management here chose to handle the situation with unnecessary aggression instead of having a professional, civil conversation. Treating community members who are engaging in peaceful, lawful civic duties this way is unacceptable. If this store has specific corporate time, place, and manner guidelines, they should be communicated professionally, not with hostility. I hope district leadership reviews how this team handles community engagement. read more

We searched yelp to grab a quick coffee in Olympia on our long drive back from Seattle. This Starbucks was conveniently located very close to the highway. 3 years ago I wrote a raving review about this place. Unfortunately things have gone downhill badly. I was here a couple weeks ago and ordered a 16oz iced vanilla latte I asked if there was a 20oz and was told oh you want a large. When I got to the window the worker was a short boy with long curly black hair. I made a joke about him saying large I thought it was taboo for Starbucks. At which point he corrected me for saying large. That's when things got weird. I asked him what he had charged me for and he said a venti. I told him I only wanted a small coffee as it's for a 16 year old and this was 5 pm. At which point he smirks and says I'll have to get a refund then. I told him that was fine. Then the shift manager came and started counting out the change she got frustrated literally THREW THE CHANGE at me and was like here that's all the difference would have been anyway. When I asked for a receipt they closed the window in my face. I didn't do a review because i never experienced anything like this before here and thought it was one off. This morning (a week later) I came in the morning to get breakfast and lunch before work. When I got to the window I asked if the manager was working. The worker a taller woman with black hair told me (very rudely) he's in the back doing something. I asked if he was available she said he has work to do you can talk to a shift leader. I asked again just to be clear he's not available correct? She rudely gave me my food and was like no. She then closed the window before I could even say anything. My lunch wasn't even edible but that's besides the fact of how horrible my visits have been here lately. read more

Used the drive-thru. The barista was not able to hear me correctly. Instead of acknowledging this and making a great customer service opportunity, she curtly tried to hurry me along. At the window I realized a sandwich was missing, the order was two sandwiches and a drink. Noticed the sticker on my sandwich said 1 of 2 items. Mentioned that there was a second sandwich request. Again, instead of seizing a perfect opportunity to demonstrate customer service, the barista looked annoyed that I wanted to buy something. I was told that the sandwich I wanted was not available, she offered two different options. Finally! Customer service at its most basic level. At this point I decided this was not a place for spending my money or my time and told her not to worry about it. TL;DR The staff here will mess up your order and get annoyed with you when you try to fix their error. Save your time and money, go to a better location. read more

This is the ONLY Starbucks drive thru that is always consistent and friendly. The master barista (black apron), don't know his name, when you drive up and he says "hellloooooo everybody..." just makes the experience 10x better also. Not once did they mess up my drink, ever. I've used the drive up window here as they are pretty conveniently located. recently the display in the drive through had a rather hard and damaging impact to the screen. very sad. that's just an interesting little tidbit that left me going "hmmm.." my last visit I decided to go inside as I wanted to replace a coffee cup at home. on my way in there were 3 or 4 homeless hanging around the store front. on the inside, the seating along the wall had a fairly large collection of homeless and their garbage. not their fault but it really left me uncomfortable. when my drinks came up, the kid apologized in advance if he got the wrong one in each cup. that was the only part that they could possibly control. read more

This Starbucks has some of the best customer service I've ever experienced!!! The baristas are always polite and make me feel like I matter. Most of the time, my drink is exactly what I asked for and it's ready for me when I pull up to the window to pay. One time, when my drink didn't taste quite right, they were polite and extremely willing to remake it for me. I'll roll through the drive through mostly, orders are usually stock drinks and A-okay! Super fast, sometimes I'll order through the Starbucks app and it goes fine. Usually there when I get there. I roll through, grab it and leave. Most everyone I've dealt with there is great! I think I've been in there once and it was fine. The parking does kind of suck and sometimes getting out of there isn't the best but whatever, not really the employees fault or anything against their service. read more

First time at this location and I can say that I will never come back. The gal working the drive-thru tonight 12/5/2020 around 7:45 pm definitely needs some additional training on customer service. She was absolutely rude and should not be working the drive thru or any position where she is required to speak to customers. Never have I had an issue at Starbucks, as the baristas are usually some of the most polite people I have encountered, but this unfortunately has changed that. read more

A little hard to find from the main drag - it's easy to drive right by this place, which is located right off of Martin Way in the same parking lot as Lowe's. It's not the biggest Starbucks I've been to (there are only four plush chairs and maybe ten tables to choose from, plus a handful of outdoor seats), but it worked well as a meet-up place close to I-5 in Lacey. Just a couple minutes off of exit 109. My latte was good Starbucks fare and the staff was friendly. read more

I would love to give this Starbucks a 5 star however it seems the employees that helped me are under trained, not sure if it's because they are located in a Safeway or not. I like this location. I stop here in the mornings before work to get my americano and not only do they know my drink, they know my name and that I want a splash stick in it as well. All in all they are all very friendly and while there are what, three or four locations in a four square block radius this is the one I go to time and again. read more

This location is closing soon, so I wanted to get a shout out to the team at this store before they take their next step, at their BRAND NEW location across the street. Number one, Ive never HAD A DRINK ORDER WRONG, I work at Lowe's across the parking lot, and in 11 years they haven't made one mistake on one drink or food item! All the baristas and crew members are top notch. I know this location has had a few managers in the time Ive been going there, and the transitions were never negative. If the drip coffee is out, they are happy to brew you a pour over, if you don't know what it is, ask them, this team is WILLING to help! Food items are solid, but I don't go to SB for food, so even if it was sub-par, that wouldn't affect my review. As I said, Ive gone to this location more than any other SB anywhere. I will miss the intimacy of this place when they move across the street, but Ive been told that store will be staffed with people from this location, and the one by (not in) Fred Meyer. I stopped by with my wife for her birthday coffee since she's a rewards member and gets a free drink on her birthday. I'm not much for coffee but I ordered a blended mocha with extra mocha and it's great. One of the baristas is a bit haired and keeps telling everyone how much busier they are then they expected to be but she makes great drinks so I'm willing to overlook it.
