People give me gift cards to Starbucks, and I use them to get hot chocolate, breakfast or a slice of pumpkin bread. I didn't get my avocado spread because they decided to prioritize their drive thru and give them all their products and out me off. The Starbucks girl even said "sorry I have a line". They came in line after i came in. i got there first and they gave out alltheir products out the window. I even tipped them. By the time they got to mine that's when they decided to telll me they were all out of avocado spread. I was just trying to have a nice little morning. This used to be my favorite Starbucks in the Olympia area. I typically order online and pick up at the time listed and often times a few minutes earlier. The drive thru lane is usually pretty long so ordering online works best for my life. Today, I ordered online at 9:57 am for two drinks and two breakfast sandwiches for about $25 (thanks Joe Biden). The eta for pick up was 9:06. I get inside at 904 and my sandwiches are done, great. That was the end of the greatness. The drive thru was worked through timely as it appeared those stations were well staffed. For the pick up, there was one person who prioritized possibly delivery orders over in person pick ups and had a fascination with the bags and moving bags around but not really doing much else. At 912, I asked about my drinks and was told they had a bunch to do so it'll be coming up. 917 my drinks were finished. My caramel macchiato tastes burnt sadly. So the few times I've made the mistake of visiting for coffee, every time there has been a horde of disgusting flies or gnats inside the store, not noticeable from the drive through but they're always there! To make it short this store is not only unsanitary with longer waits if you walk inside compared to the drive through, but it is a cluster fudge disorder. My coffee was made completely wrong. Back in the day before Starbucks became super cheapo and started scamming their naïve customers, they used to send employees to barista's school. Well came in for a light snack, iced green tea latte and iced black tea. The iced green tea had the matcha splotched at the bottom and top and maths powder was all on the lid. I tried to swirl and mix but couldn't - so went in to ask the barista if they could stir it. They said that they aren't supposed to stir them...it was an odd response because it was so incredibly unappetizing that I didn't end up drinking it. I have a coffee problem! I drink (coffee) and drive. This Starbucks has the slowest drive through of all the Starbucks in South Puget Sound. This was my second visit in the last month and a half to this store. The first time it took 22 minutes to get through the drive through. It was busy and I could not escape. I made three work related sales calls while in line. Yesterday, I saw only 1 car in the drive through so I ordered and got behind the only car in front of me. They got 2 tall iced drinks in 7 minutes. I pulled up expecting my drink to be ready however I waited another 6 minutes for my drink. Come on people, 13 MINUTES really? Starbucks needs to send their secret shoppers to this store (I should apply; I visit a different one every day and know how long most Starbuck's drive through take.) read more

I had such a good experience at this particular Starbucks. All of the baristas are so friendly and outgoing, especially the guy named Tyler- he made sure I came out with exactly the right drink that I wanted. A vanilla chai tea latte over ice! He actually waited and made sure that I liked the drink. Overall a nice and clean study environment, and the service is very fast. Of course Starbucks is pricey but this is not the individual store's fault. I've come to this Starbucks many times and they've always been fabulous. One thing I feel really bad about is that I'm always that person who never loads her Starbucks card, so I try to load it just before I get my drink, meaning I'm holding up the line. They've never given me attitude and they're totally cool about it. Staff has always been friendly. Today I ordered my drinks (one for me, one for mom) and when the barista noticed that I seemed to have been waiting a while, he asked what my drink was and went over to check if he had it in his line of empty cups. I didn't actually think I waited that long considering the 25+ people crammed in there and in line. He said he didn't see it and said he'd just make it for me really quick. I have a decently complicated order, but he took it in stride, just nodded, repeated the order to make sure he had it correct, and whipped out the drink. I love that despite how frantically busy the place was, everyone was still in good spirits and churning out the drinks and food with smiles. Everyone seems to be cranky around this time of year - there's no sun, there are crowds seemingly EVERYWHERE, and everyone is frantic.. I walked out of my 10-15 visit at Starbucks feeling happier. However, this Starbucks is an exception they dazzle people with customer service, they are cheerful and courteous at 6:00a.m. as they are at closing! The manager of the store is exceptional, she is a professional, skilled in her communications, team oriented with her staff and demonstrates and defines leadership and support! Great service! I went in to pick up a mobile order (vanilla latte and cookie). The barista noticed I didn't see my order and was waiting. She asked what I ordered and immediately started to work making it. I thought it was strange that that they didn't have my order so I looked on the app. I stupidly ordered for a location down the street. I offered to drive there to get my order. They wouldn't hear of it. They didn't want me to have to do that even though it was my mistake. It really wouldn't have been a serious inconvenience. It's just a few blocks. They were so nice and super efficient. This is now my favorite Starbucks location. read more

This is our new "go-to" Starbucks. Every visit has resulted in very friendly baristas, delicious espresso drinks and tasty pastries. We love to sit outside during warmer days but on the cooler ones there's a decent amount of indoor seating. Close parking can get a little scarce but there is ample parking a short walk away at Haggen. Happy to have this newest location up and running. read more

I come here often and even though Starbucks is a chain (and they could have better quality beans) I feel like it is a company that is a responsible corporate citizen so I do not mind supporting them. What I enjoy most at this location is the people that work here. They remember me, what I like, are always very friendly and just make your visit very nice. Went through the drive through and ordered my drink as I usually do at every other starbucks, venti vanilla sweet cream cold brew with a little extra sweet cream. Get to the window and it looks like milk with ice. I said no that's too much sweet cream. The drive through girl with purple hair then comes back with a cup with cold brew and a snooty tone asking me to point to the lines on the cup how much cold brew and how much cream and ice as she held it out the window. After she hands me my drink she tells me not to ask for extra sweet cream next time. I sat there bewildered as a daily starbucks customer with my tip in hand I drove off shocked. As far as Starbucks go in Olympia, I feel this one has top honors. The staff are very friendly and actually conversate with you. I don't drink coffee, and usually come in just to use the wi-fi, but they NEVER say no. They welcome me and say to make myself comfortable, even when I don't buy anything. Ususally I feel too guilty to not buy anything and end up doing so, but I wouldn't feel so guilty if they weren't so nice! Comfy chairs (albeit they always seem to be filled) where you can plug in and type away, substantial tables. Very good location. BUT! It's always a mess to get into. Newest Starbucks in the Greater Olympia area. They are still getting their act together, so I'm cutting them some slack. Service is ok but not a smooth running crew yet. The reason I'm using this location rather than my favorites is they have the Nitro Cold Brew on tap. Think this is the only store in the area that serves it so far. But today they ran out of the "sippy" lids, so served my grande with a regular lid and straw. Kinda defeats the purpose of getting the foamy top layer. So went next door to the Sonic drive in so I could drink it without a lid. Guess the double cheeseburger I ordered is just a bonus? Anyway, if you're looking for nitro, go here. This is a newer location; so perhaps the baristas lack experience. I came to this Starbucks when it first opened and then avoided it for months due to their inability to get my coffee order correct and the excruciating slowness of the drive thru. Jump to today. Used the drive thru because I had client files with me which cannot be left unattended. Let's be clear my coffee order is just that: a coffee with cream. Today I got black coffee from the barista. Drive off before I noticed the color. Came back, looped the tiny parking lot 3 times to find a spot; dragged my huge bag of files inside to add cream to my coffee. Starbucks this shouldn't happen. People use the drive thru for convenience. They shouldn't have to drive thru AND go into the lobby. Maybe some retraining is in order. read more

I get coffee from this location a lot and they seam to not be able to get my coffee right. There is a distinct difference between white mocha and mocha. When ordering white mocha and you get mocha the entire experience is ruined. When I called to let them know my issue all they said was to come in and we can re make it or let them know the next time I appreciate the fact she was willing to replace my drink but no apologies or empathy and she even seamed annoyed. Yes, I'm a Starbucks junkie. This is why I feel the need to rate the ones in my area. Thank god there's one on every street corner...practically. This one was actually a surprise for me after working/living in Oly for roughly six months. It's hiden in a shopping center...does that mean it's never packed. No! The drive through is extremely long and akwardly placed. Personally I think it was designed so you wouldn't know there were 10 cars ahead of you till you are stuck. It's a trap! Service is fair, although they've screwed up a few orders here and there. The layout is competitive. There are two entrance doors, you have no clue how many times I have seen people try to beat the other person to get in line. Of course, everyone enjoys a little Jerry Springer in their day. Coffee is done well, beans roasted nicely, brewed well, it's another cookie-cutter place just in a hidden location, not as busy as most. read more
