This is a Starbucks within Target in Orange City. Not bad, just not as convenient as having a separate building.

We were greeted by a sincerely cheerful young guy as we open the front door. Entering from a wood porch, of course. Junior's Mother & Father are directly behind him, clearly visible through a large plate glass window rolling dough and making magic. The son patiently guides us through all of what's left from this morning's fresh-baked offerings. Not surprisingly, more than half the treats are gone at 12:30 in the afternoon. Clearly the locals know a good thing. He advises us to come earlier next time - 8-9am - so we may choose anything baked fresh that day. We opted for way too many items and then sat out on the front porch enjoying a few tasty tidbits. Junior told us his parents are from Venezuela and Portugal. Gotta say these folks really know how to prepare delicious breads and pastries. We will most definitely go back. A great small family-owned business operated by folks who know how to do some simple things very well. Fresh. Delicious. Delightful. Good stuff!

However, I don't recommend ordering online from this location. Most of the time my mobile orders come out messy and the coffee quality just isn't the same. It feels rushed and inconsistent compared to when I walk in and order face-to-face. In-person = great experience. Online ordering = hit or miss for me. Still one of my go-to morning spots, I just stick to ordering at the counter now.

Cost-cutting measures with performative actions at customer service make it a bad experience any time I just need a damn cup of coffee. Thanks for my hot drink. Could I get a drink sleeve? Maybe a stopper? Seriously why not just hand me a cup of 170° liquid without a lid? Why not just dump it into my lap? My total this particular trip was $6.12. I paid $6.15 and the lady literally said "can we keep the pennies for a tip?" I know you're not supposed to sweat the small stuff but christ man give me a break once in a while. You have the time to write "have a great day :)" on my goddamn cup but you can't spare the time to put a sleeve on it.

I was really impressed during my last visit; even with a line wrapping around the building, my order was done quickly and accurately. Speed is one thing, but the staff here manages to stay incredibly polite even when they are clearly slammed. It's rare to find a fast-food spot where the team keeps their cool and treats every customer with a smile during peak hours, but the Saxon crew definitely delivers. If you happen to stop by after the sun goes down, keep your eyes peeled at the drive-thru! There is a local family of raccoons that hangs out near the cars. They are absolutely adorable and have clearly figured out the system--they sit there patiently waiting, hoping someone might toss a stray donut or a munchkin their way. It's become a bit of a local highlight and definitely adds some "wildlife charm" to a coffee run!
