Although I do not stop into Starbucks overall as much as I used to, I still stop in at this location around the holidays to pick up their Christmas blend whole bean coffee. This Starbucks in the Sodo area is a convenient stop for me. The place still is clean, and the staff is attentive. I recognized several employees that are still there after several years so that is a good sign that this location retains its staff. However, Starbucks in the past year has eliminated a number of my favorite items as part of a larger plan to simplify its menu. Besides the Christmas blend coffee, I usually pick up several of the snowman holiday cookies each year. I was not happy to see that this item has also been removed from the bakery selections. This is not a knock on this location as it still does a great job of meeting customer needs relative to the menu it now has. Stopped by Starbucks for a pick-me-up. I entered the drive thru and looked over the seasonal drinks. I decided on the Iced Eggnog Latte. I also ordered the Egg Whites and Roasted Red Peppers Egg Bites. The staff was friendly and had my order ready when I arrived at the window. I paid in app and received my order. The Eggnog Latte and Egg Bites were festively served in a holiday cup and sleeve. The Eggnog Latte was good. It had a decent eggnog flavor with a hint of the nutmeg. The Egg Bites were as expected. First visit to this location, but was in the neighborhood and decided to stop for a Sunday morning beverage. Ultra-clean dining room. Friendly assistance at the register to place order. All menu items seemed to be available. Fast service by the team members. My only suggestion is for the team to realize not everyone is focused on mobile devices. Some of us sit and observe. If you comment about customers departing the store or the drive-thru, we can hear that. Still VERY easy to recommend this S'bucks. read more

My birthday fell on Easter Sunday this year (yesterday) and I wasn't sure if Starbucks would be open so I waited until today, April 21st to try to get my birthday beverage. I was told that Starbucks is open 365 days a year and that I would not be able to receive a free drink since it is the day after, regardless if my birthday fell on Easter Sunday, no exceptions. I usually have a great experience here as someone who comes almost everyday, but today was very different. I asked for light ice but when I recived my drink it was full of ice. So i politely asked them to please remake the drink with less ice and the workers were very rude. When I got my drink back it was missing a huge chunk of drink. We've been frequent visitors to this location as of late due to its proximity to the Orlando health medical complex so I imagine it stays busy supporting all of those workers. My morning visits are always great as they appear well staffed to handle the rush of it all and slinging drinks like a prohibition bar. The afternoons seem to intentionally be run very short on staff though, even days with promos like triple star day or half off drinks for gold members...and who isn't a gold card holder at Starbucks anymore? Wish management would give a bit more labor love to the afternoon/late coverage on these promo days bc drink quality would be better as well as drive thru wait times. The location is lovely and the drive thru is fairly logical but the parking is not great for the space itself in, but there's plenty of parking around if you're willing to walk just a bit. read more

The drive-through was slammed, but inside was pretty much empty. I never undershwhy people are so reluctant to leave their cars. Anyway, if you are a fan of Starbuck's (I I'm not the biggest fan, however, my daughter is) you should be pleased with the overall experience that you will find at this particular location. . Service is fast, that is, as long as you go through the inside instead of waiting in the line for the drive-thru that literally went down the street and the staff was professional and friendly. If you are unfamiliar with Starbuck's, be aware that the coffee is a bit on the high-end side. small cup will run you over five dollars. On a humorous note, walking in the location and ordering it, we were out of there within two minutes. The drive-thru I would hazard a guess would be at least twenty minutes, maybe more. This breaks my heart having to write this, being a former Partner and one of the originals that opened this store. I haven't been in in awhile. The level of care and sense of urgency has left this store!!! This all happened during my visit on Monday, August 30, 2021. I walk up to the counter, stand there for a minute or so while the partner at the register was busy drawing on the tip jar. I had to address her first. I placed my order at 6:59am. Then looking around half of the team wasn't wearing name tags or didn't have embroidered aprons. The girl who was on warming wasn't running her cooked food and was just letting it pile up. Then she cooked a regular croissant and a chocolate croissant together. Last I knew they had separate settings. I notice all of this as I'm waiting for my order. The girl next to me had to cancel her order b/c it was taking so long. The girl on the bar said "you need to do that up front", with a bit of rudeness in her tone. My drinks finally come up and I had to ask the bar barista to remove all the foam off my hot drink. As that's how I ordered it. It wasn't until I got to work that I realized my iced chai wasn't made with soy milk like I asked. It was made with 2%. 15 minutes later, I'm still waiting for my breakfast. Which might I say was a bacon Gouda cooked open faced. Now I may be a bit rusty, but even cooking the sandwich open faced should only take about 2 mins. Factoring the other food from the drive they and lobby, I still should have waited less than 5 mins. When I did warming, I could also take the orders at the box in drive thru. I feel like the staff now, no one I know, doesn't care. So sad. If I were still there as a barista or a shift, none of this would have happened! read more

It's much bigger, the drive thru is easier and less chaotic, and they have a large patio with fans and charging ports that's under a cover! Plus all the staff from the old location moved to this one, so yay!! The building had a very open feel to it, almost industrial. It's a long, narrow space with multiple seating options. The floors and countertop look like a polished concrete and there are wood elements to make it warmer. Bring your puppy and chill on the covered patio in a nice day. Free WiFi of course. Bonus? This is a nice Starbuck's location right off of Michigan. My experiences here have always been good with friendly employees and accurate orders. The lines can get pretty long, but they seem to do a good job in moving it along pretty quickly. The parking and drive thru areas can be a little annoying to navigate sometimes just because of the way it's set up with the other businesses there, but it's not a fault of theirs. I've only used drive thru here and have done both mobile pick up and just ordering at the window and always had a good experience and a nice cup of coffee! I'm at this Starbucks literally every morning. The staff is great, the drinks and food are on point 99% of the time, and it's in a prime location. If anything is ever wrong with what you ordered, the baristas are quick to correct the issue and friendly about it. The best thing about this location is the massive amount of seating/tables. There's always a spot to sit and chat or bring your laptop to work on. The worst thing about this location is the parking lot/drive through set up - it's constantly backed up but honestly the biggest reason for this is that it's not physically laid out in a good way. Pro tip: mobile order ahead to save yourself some time. This location is almost always busy and on Friday/Saturday it can take a while to get your drink unless you mobile order/skip the line. Overall this is my favorite Orlando Starbucks and I'll continue to go daily. read more

Desani took our order on an iPad in the drive-thru line (not sure if that's standard here but I haven't seen it at any other Starbucks drive-thrus!). Desani was so friendly and helpful and then we drove up to the window to pay and get our order and Jemaine also had great customer service and was smiling and so friendly and even asked us about our weekend plans. Yelp Challenge 2017 - 56/100 After risking our lives to get here- we left empty handed. It's located in a very busy area of Orange Ave that makes getting here extremely difficult. It's difficult because you can only make a right hand turn traveling North or u-turn to make the right turn if you are traveling south. We missed the turn - twice. In the drive thru I inquired about the sizes of the Hibiscus refreshers. I'd heard it was delicious and wanted to try it. The guy answered in a very condescending tone "it is the same size as all the other drinks". I explained to him that it was my first time at Starbucks and I didn't know the sizes of the other drinks if he could tell me the ounces. In the same tone he rattles off all the sizes, "grande, tall..." etc. etc. okay... so maybe we're the only ones that never ordered here but whatever he said didn't mean anything to us. I asked again for the ounces explaining again it was my 1st there. He finally told me but at this point I was over it. I didn't want to spend my money at a place where it bothers the employees to help me with questions about a product. I don't know what would've happen if I asked for the ingredients (I have allergies). Anyone... we left. Lucky the light was red at Michigan and we were able to exit safely. read more

The employees are always encounter in their locations are always very courteous and very helpful. This particular location is so busy, that they are going to move it a little further south on Orange Avenue. The new location will be a little roomier, with lots of room for the drive-through. The coffee this particular day with very good, because the day was a little cold outside. I don't know how this is possible, but this Starbucks just keeps getting worse and worse. My experience today is a prime example. Went in to get a drink I order regularly at this store (grande nitro cold brew with two shots of espresso in a Venti cup). I walked in to grab my order and the drink had ice in it. I politely asked if they could remake it because I didn't want ice and I know it can be confusing with the larger cup. I really just want the larger cup to fit all the nitro cold brew and the shots on top. The shift manager would not remake my drink and I finally had to have him put two shots in a separate cup, the nitro in a separate cup, and then give me an empty Venti cup. He ended up only giving me about a half shot of espresso but I put my drink together and left since I was just done with the situation. Luckily I was able to call customer service and get refunded, but it really shouldn't have come to that. read more

It's maddening. everyday I pull up to this location and there are cars trying to enter into the drive thru line from three completely different entrances. There is a confusing green arrow and an equally confusingly placed Drive Thru sign leading every car to a different place. It's NEEDLESSLY confusing and stupid. So I am at a Starbucks that I Normally do not come in. I asked for a specific drink which I like and they were able to accommodate the drink of my liking. I like when I go to an establishment and actually pay attention to customers request rather then just ignore them. So I usually go to a Starbucks in Deltona and they know the coffee I like. It's the blonde expresso over ice with a splash of almond milk with two pumps of the sweetener. Trust me this coffee has so much caffeine sometimes I can't even finish. Location isn't the greatest. Traffic is tough to manage and parking lot is too small. Drive-thru line is always wrapped around the lot making it difficult to park at times.
