Pretty good Starbucks location! I originally went to the Atwells location but they were completely out of breakfast sandwiches. I was on a bit of a time crunch so I placed a mobile order for this location. Thankfully it was ready by the time I walked the roughly half mile! I wanted to try the new egg, pesto, and mozzarella sandwich; it was pretty good but I'll stick to my usual bacon Gouda. This seems like a good Starbucks location; I'd definitely return! read more

This Starbucks is located in One Financial Center Plaza, an office building in the heart of downtown Providence. I've been to this location a few times and probably my favorite Starbucks in Providence for their service and consistency of drink flavors. Starbucks has its own entrance. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Usually there is not a long line to order since many people also order ahead for pickup. There are usually 2-3 employees behind the counter. Service is fast and good. Drinks taste good and consistent with other Starbucks locations. There are no tables or seats in this Starbucks, but I've seen people sitting in the lobby drinking Starbucks. There is a small merchandise section. If you are in downtown Providence and want/need Starbucks, this is a great location to stop by. read more

This Starbucks knows how to make a good coffee! You can just tell by the color of the coffee if it's going to be delicious and let me tell you the color never disappoints. This location has really good service too. I'm always welcomed when I go in and my online order is always ready at my pick up time or sometimes even earlier which I appreciate. Overall a good location just keep an eye for Parking since they only offer street parking. read more

What I will say that's unique to this Starbucks is that I consistently receive great and efficient service on my afternoon coffee breaks. The afternoon team is friendly and has always offered tips on when to redeem my stars for a free drink. Another unique part of this Starbucks is their seating area. While they don't have any seats inside currently, they're attached to a corporate office building. As a result there's a huge atrium to the side that you can sit in with tons of natural light and greenery. It's a nice little refuge from the winter weather in PVD with the same Starbucks menu you know inside and out. read more

This is not a very good Starbucks. They have no outlets or USB ports at the sitting areas which is very disappointing.

I guess being a chain makes all Starbucks pretty much the same, consistent. This is one of stores left in downtown Providence, as the one at the Biltmore has closed. The lady who got my order was very nice, very welcoming face and attitude. I decided to try one of their panini sandwiches, which are pre-packaged and you get them from the cold case. I really enjoyed my lunch. I took it home and grilled it, making it extra toasty and warm. It was very good. Parking is always a bit of an issue in downtown, but if you live or work there...or...are in the area, make yourself a favor and stop by, you will be treated nicely and you will get Starbucks Rewards if you belong to their program. read more

This Starbucks is located within the front lobby of a hotel. Service was relatively slow; they seemed in no rush to take my order. I made the mistake of getting one of their holiday drinks - the caramel brûlée latte. It was one of the sweetest thing I have ever consumed... I felt like I was not going to be able to sleep for years after drinking that. There is little to no seating area within the shop; only about 5 counter seats near the back all squished together. There are outlets under the counter, though, so that is good. The seating area in the back is more spacious but the tables are relatively small so if you need to do a lot of work I suggest going somewhere else or snagging one of the two larger tables. The door that exits the back seating area to the outside has two door frames; the left does not open but the right side does. I would not recommend sitting at the table nearest to the right door. As soon as someone opens it, a huge gust of wind will blow towards you and if it a cold day, it will freeze your inner soul without a doubt. The bathroom is small and grosser than other Starbucks bathrooms. Overall, this is a pretty mediocre Starbucks. Convenient location but nothing special at all. read more

It's been a long long time since my last morning at Starbucks. Not just because they are not good, just because I was out of the states for almost a year. And where I went to had Starbucks an hour away. So when I returned and got over the jet leg, woke up when it is not dark outside (I know the jet leg is horrible) and headed to Starbucks. I already knew what I am taking before getting here. Wrap and coffee. Basic, simple, and taste great. Got what I wanted. The wrap was little tasteless, can't really say why. I have only been coming here because this location is doing mobile ordering which is very convenient and keeps me from lingering in the store. I would not recommend this location. I love this Starbucks! *adding update* I met the manager recently and she was awesome. Super friendly, laid back and attentive. The staff here is super friendly and they always do a great job making my drinks. I work downtown and so I'm there a few times a week. While the storefront is small, they have a decent selection of snacks and pastries. There are a few seats at the bar, and there are chairs and tables in the lobby of the building next to the store. There is a restroom and you just have to ask a barista for the code. They also have recycling at this Starbucks which I love! read more

I have always loved this particular Starbucks located in downtown providence next to the citizens bank. This is my favorite Starbucks location because every-time I walked into that Starbucks the baristas were always super nice and always got my drink right. I usually go in there to get my free drink after every 12 stars but I also go to chat with one of my friends from school. He has been working there for a bit and he's a really nice guy. I went into Starbucks today to try the new s'mores frapp and use my free coffee. Totally worth my free coffee because the s'mores frapp is so good and everything tastes better free right. But I love going to that spot. Hope to go back soon before the end of the trimester. Staff: friendly and fast (very understanding when I do the "I know there is a line forming but I swear I have exact change in here somewhere!" dance). Lunch: yes: some sandwiches (egg salad, tomato/tomato) and other drinks (sparkling juice, milk, canned coffee) available. Not much room to in IN the shop (which as free wi-fi), but there are a few in the adjacent atrium, or if it's a nice day: sit outside! Coffee: (duh) - fast turn-around on the order, too! When I first moved to Providence, I thought the only Starbucks was the one in the Biltmore. I was stuck waiting in lines that went on for days with snooty tourists. I was so excited when I found this location! Buh-bye Biltmore patrons! This is my favorite Starbucks in Providence. Like most of the the towering (well, for Providence, anyway) office buildings that surround it, this Starbucks is clean, efficient, and completely lacking in personality. There is very little to say about the decor, the staff, or the drinks. This may derive from the fact that its clientele seems to consist mainly of businesspeople on the go (as well as the occasional stray, confused RISD student). This means that the shop is usually empty. Unfortunately, however, the bulk of the seating area is contained within the lobby of the office building adjacent to the store. This both breaks it off from the remainder of the seating and gives it an unsettling, clinical feel. It is easy to see why people don't hang around here. read more

This delightful little Starbucks is tucked away in a corporate center, so we just stumbled across it, as it did not show up on my Yelp search. It is very convenient to the Marriott Downtown as well as close to the College Street Bridge. High ceilings, windows facing a cute little plaza with benches for outdoor seating, very friendly staff. I think I go to Starbucks not just for their drinks but also for its atmosphere and people-The people who work their are generally nice and friendly and one of them even know me by my name! (although it's true I go here like 3~4 times a week) If Starbucks' coffee tasted little better I would give a 4, but unfortunately their coffee is pretty poor in terms of its taste and depth. Their coffees are generally overly roasted and I don't think the beans they use are very high quality..But, their other non-coffee drinks are overall good such as black tea latte, very berry hibiscus, lemongrass green tea, etc. Some of the food they offer are okay too although they are not exceptionally good or anything but A-OK- read more

I visit this Starbucks at least a few times a week on my way to work in the morning and I must say it is by far my favorite coffee shop. I find with Starbucks there is always consistency and I have never had a bad beverage from this location. Yes, its a little more expensive than other coffee places but its well worth it. It's easy for me to park, run in quick and be on my way to work. The Staff here make the experience even more enjoyable-- always friendly and greets me by name when I walk in the door and I notice they do this with most of their customers; they give the most exceptional service! Although efficient, I can't say much else about the staff or atmosphere. I've been a regular here and I don't feel that the majority of the staff is particularly friendly. I personally prefer Coffee Exchange on Wickenden. Much better coffee and generally better staff who make consistently great cappucinos and lattes. read more
