This place is so nice a respectful. It is a total vibe in here so peaceful and welcoming

I had been intimidated with the parking situation in this lot for a few months. But recently I've decided to just give it a try (the CVS in the plaza is great too). Yes this Starbucks can get busy and as another reviewer pointed out, its because there are no other ones nearby. I do think the baristas are quick and make excellent drinks. The layout is kind of funky but I rarely sit and drink at a Starbucks (although at this particular location it seems like there is always some school project group meeting. They keep the place clean and the traffic flow moving. Don't be scared of how terrible the parking lot is laid out, find a spot and head in. read more

This location is horrible. No matter how specific I am in ordering my drink it is ALWAYS wrong. Some of the staff seem like you're bothering them. No matter what time of day you go in there it's never welcoming. I have stopped going to this location and just drive the extra 10 minutes to the one in new HYDE park. I pass this location every morning on my way to work and since I'm not a coffee drinker, I've only stopped on 3 occasions for tea. I find the line to be sometimes long but since I'm only getting tea, I never have to wait long for my beverage. The employees seem friendly enough. On my most recent visit, I ordered my tea and then went to use the bathroom. I realized the light wasn't working so I walked over to get someone's attention to assist me. I can't even tell you how I waved my arms, said "excuse me" repeatedly and was completely ignored. I understand they were busy and I wasn't trying to give anyone a hard time-I just needed to use the bathroom! I stood there for a good 5 minutes before another customer who was deep in conversation with one of 2 said employees pointed out to him that I was trying to get their attention for the longest time. The other customer said, "Please go help this woman, she's been standing there for a while!" I thanked her because I quickly realized that if she hadn't said that, no doubt I would have been standing there until Their Highnesses decided to acknowledge my existence. I explain what was going on and the dude comes around and walks into the bathroom, mutters something about, "You know, there's nothing wrong with the light, you just gotta give it time." By "time" he meant you had to stand there in the dark for approximately 3 minutes until the light finally came on. I said, "Yeah? Then put a sign up or something-I was trying to get your attention for 5 minutes!" Was I in Starbucks or a coffee shop in a 3rd world country? No apology for the inconvenience, for the wait... nothing. Starbucks: Last I checked, you were a multi-billion dollar company. Work on your employees at this location and fix that ghetto light! No excuse for any of the things I experienced here. Won't be returning. read more

This is not my regular Starbucks. Then again, I don't have regular one, I usually make my own coffee and save the $5- 6. However, from time to time I treat myself to a Matcha latte ( mostly hot). After getting my foot massage, I was in dire need to another treat. I crossed the street and got on the line. The line moved quickly. Thank God for that. I know at 2pm, in Manhattan Starbucks line rarely moves. Finally when I reached the front, I placed the order and was told they were out of Matcha powder. What a shame, although they were trying to be very accommodating and asked if I wanted anything else, my spirt was shot. I shrugged my shoulders and thanked the nice employee and walked out. On the plus side, the employees are quick, accommodating and friendly. There are plenty of parking and space in the Starbucks to sit and enjoy your coffee. Those are reasons I gave this Starbucks two stars. read more

I've gone in at all hours of the day, weekday and weekends, and more often than not they don't have regular coffee ready - they ran out, machine is broken, it's currently brewing, etc. The service is friendly but frustratingly slow, nobody is rushing to alleviate the long line. This is one of only three Starbucks in the entirety of the 5 boroughs which does not have a grade A rating from the Department of Health, and the only one in Queens. I'm not shocked having come in here to get drinks for my girlfriend a few times. Staff always seems indifferent, seems like it's only ever really empty but still somehow slow to be served anything or too busy and full of packs of high school students blocking the entrance and counters. Maybe it's better if you aren't an afternoon patron, but as far as I'm concerned, you can do a lot better visiting any of the 50 other locations within a 5 mile radius. read more

Staff is always friendly , even when they run out of stuff (which happens frequently). Not as clean as other locations but it's not too bad. If you need to use the bathroom, I hope you have good leg strength to hover over the toilet seat because it looks like you're gonna catch something if you sit on it, it's pretty dirty in there. Main complaint is the temperature of the store. It's fine if you're just popping in to grab and go, or sit for a few minutes. After an hour or so of studying in there, I was freezing to death. Two hours in, I started reminiscing about all the times I wasn't freezing and how I took it for granted. I'm not sure if they're trying to make you buy more (hot) drinks or make the homeless people that come in leave, but it would be nice if it was a humane temperature in there. Anyways, I only come to this location when I'm in the area and desperate for wifi. Overall, only good for quick visits. read more

Basically the only Starbucks around the neighborhood, the parking lot is VERY tight and small (shared with T-Mobile, urgent care, subway, cvs and staples). I always get a caramel frappe or a strawberry açaí. They always make them deliciously perfect. The staff is normally young and very friendly. I would recommend. read more

Lately I have been going to the New Hyde Park store only because some of the female employees here suck at customer service. I also agree with the one who commented that the bar area for your milk sometimes can be messy. Another thing is the half-and-half container is always empty, and I wasn't the only one who observed this. Me +3 other people were standing around waiting for them to refill a half and half. Plus the service is just extra slow, if you're not using a mobile app. There are a million drinks ordered from the mobile app just sitting there, meanwhile some regular folks who have paid are standing around for minutes waiting. Quite possibly the worst Starbucks experience I've had anywhere, but I find myself constantly going here because of how close it is to my house compared to other Starbucks. Service is slow and after waiting for all that time, the drinks aren't what they should be. Sometimes you find yourself standing around waiting for help from an employee and they will preoccupy themselves with some other thing when they could be helping you. And I'm talking about there being little to no customers at all in there at the time I receive no service. Not to mention the prices are jacked up to city Starbucks prices, meanwhile there 50 feet from Nassau county. I'm hoping a new Starbucks opens up soon because this one is awful. read more

I rotate between three Starbucks depending on logistics: Franklin Square, Garden City and Bellrose. GC is right by my house and they are great. Very nice. FS is awful with the exception of a couple decent workers. Of all these locations, Bellrose is the best by far...I don't know what more I can say about the workers other than they are amazing. Whether I walk in at 6AM or 9PM they are always so friendly and accommodating. Sometimes it's even the same staff member and they are just as nice 10 hours into their shifts. I wish it was closer to my house but I have no problem driving the extra distance to see these beautiful people. Yeah, I'm talking to you: Mike, Marco, and Stacy!!! You guys rock. Service was quick and efficient and the store was not too crowded. They have a real weird setup with the seating though. I don't know if it's by design but the chairs are too high for the tables. If your coming here expecting to be able to sit down and work on your laptop, you won't be able to sit for more than 10 minutes before feeling sharp pains at your back. If your coming by to sit back and relax with a cup of coffee however then I would say the setup is fine. read more

This is a convenient location where there are also CVS, Staples and so forth in this strip. The Starbucks coffee tastes the same no matter what location you're in. The iced latte with sugar is fantastic! The pumpkin bread is so yummy!! Luckily they have pumpkin bread year round. The bagels are surprisingly nice especially if you're not in the NYC/Long Island area. Overall, it's just like any other Starbucks but staff are more helpful and it's located conveniently!! read more

Staff seemed lackluster of customers existence and lethargic at best with taking orders and making coffee. Coffee is good that they make but nothing spectacular goes into making it from the barista. Have been to many Starbucks in the country during my road trip and this one falls short. read more

I really enjoyed coming to this Starbucks location. There is a parking lot shared with Subway, CVS, and a few other stores, which can be hard to come by in Queens. The employees at this Starbucks act like they hate their jobs. It's like it would kill them to smile, or greet someone accordingly much less SPEAK during a transaction. Don't ring my order up then stare at me rudely, I don't know when you want me to scan or swipe my card otherwise, and when someone says "Thank you", your correct response would be "You're welcome.", and let us not forget..it wouldn't KILL YOU TO SMILE BACK! If you can't leave any biases or attitudes at the door when you come to work...QUIT. You're in Customer Service/Hospitality, and in case you've forgotten, you're getting compensated for your services. For anyone looking to come here, at this point..there are so many mom & pop shops around here that will give you beyond excellent service, at a lesser cost, and more than a smile because they're grateful for your business. Don't bother spending your hard earned money at this location. I won't say every Starbucks has terrible service, but considering I visit a different location everyday due to the nature of my business, I can make a valid comparison. read more

Frustrating parking lot - a pretty decent Starbucks - it would be nice though if the guy at the register knew what black tea was. I feel like that is kind of important when you are an employee at a tea/coffee shop. Instead, he listed a few different teas including earl grey & green tea then said "Well, they're all black tea."
