WOW, surprised at all the low stars. The service was fast, the order accurate, and it was during the morning rush. I ordered on the app, special concoctions - simply because I have milk allergies. This was my first visit to a Starbucks in Ridgecrest and it was nice. We are relocating to this area next month, and are looking forward to getting acquainted with it. We walked in on a Wednesday right before sunset to grab a drink for our 2+ hours drive home and there was no line. This is a spacious facility with plenty of seating. Sleek and modern design, too. We wondered why the parking lot was so large for only 3 little establishments but hopefully that means more shops are to come. Service was very kind and made us feel welcomed, which I must say was lacking in other businesses we visited that same day. The workers here are very friendly, but the drink was really disappointing. The iced matcha latte pretty much just tasted like milk with a hint of matcha, and it had way too much foam at the top. And when they did, the sandwich I ordered was nuked to unrecognizable., and splattered inside a torn, possibly reused bag, then dumped into the counter and abandoned. This is the worst, most pretentious Starbucks I been to yet. They have signs everywhere about being a good human, but they will charge a fortune and then make it like they're doing you a favor to make junk and then serve it poorly. Its a shame. Whoever owns this place needs to actually come in and look at how things are being ran, you clearly are leaving money on the table by not expanding your operation. We were here again and once again we experienced awesome service by Christian. Christian was so understanding and patient. I wasn't sure what to order since I was looking for low sugar drink. Even if you order 12 minutes ahead on the app, your drink probably won't be ready. For Starbucks, this is terrible service, despite the fact that they seem to have a big staff. Pulled up to the drive-through excited that I had some extra money at the end of my week for a Starbucks drink. When I got there, the employees laughed at my stutter, because I was born with a speech impediment at the window and paying for my drink, I could see that they were all trying to hold back, laughing as I said, thank you. I did not choose to be born with a stutter, and now I feel terrible and some thing that was supposed to be celebratory has turned into shame. As someone who doesn't visit, Starbucks regularly and looks to it as a reward because I don't make that much money. I feel that this was extremely uncalled for and discouraging. I'm deathly allergic to milk, and to me if someone says something is vegan, it means there's been no contamination. Ordered a sugar cookie almond milk latter, and thanks girls! I wound up in the ER tonight from anaphylactic shock. People aren't always vegan by choice so of someone asks you, be sure and be honest. I think the staff at this Starbucks is excellent. The place is always packed but that's not their fault, order ahead is best and honestly just expect to wait 10-20minutes for your drink during busy times, during down times your drink is ready instantly. The staff handles the rush well and they are always polite every single time. These workers get way more shit than they deserve. Building is clean, tidy, and pretty. read more

Starbucks has been a daily "go to" for me for the last 6+ months. Prior to switching locations, I had no issues. But seemingly, since reopening in a new location, most of my favorite baristas are no longer working there and SOME of the current staff members are very impolite and inconsiderate, lacking maturity and basic customer service skills. For example, I came in a few days ago to change clothes before yoga. I ordered a coffee then told the barista I was going to change clothes in the restroom. When I went to pay, I unknowingly dropping my (brand new) sports bra on the floor near the register. Before I could make it out of the restroom, a very rude barista was kicking, yes KICKING my bra outside as if it were infected with some horrible contagious disease. I was appalled! I have been frequenting this Starbucks location ever since it opened. The staff have always consistently been super-nice and friendly. I usually visit between 3-5 pm weekdays. Almost every time I go in I see 6-8 employees making specialty drinks for the drive-thru or call in orders. Often, I will wait at the cash register waiting for someone to help me. It's like I'm a ghost! Eventually someone notices me and they tell me they'll be right with me. I almost always order a cup of coffee, that's it. For some reason, it takes them 10-15 minutes to get me my coffee! I have to get up (after I've been told it would be "right out") and ask them about the status of my coffee. I'm usually met with: "Sorry, but we had to make a fresh brew." Excuse me? Starbucks signature drink is coffee and it is almost NEVER ready or made when I get there. On top of that it is rarely hot, just very warm. This has been a consistent, constant theme for the last four years. I have complained to their management in a polite and respectful way but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Today was the last straw. What's the point of patronizing this place if I continue to be upset and disrespected? I go to Starbucks to relax and read a bit but I leave each time more angry than the time before. Thank God a new Starbucks is opening in town. Hopefully, this very poor customer service will not migrate to the new one. read more

Normally I have really good experience and service is great and relatively quick but depends on day and time.....reasoning for giving this place 3 stars is because they have this one employee who truly fucks up EVERY time....like I understood when this chick first started; everyone messes up no biggie but, literally its been 4-5 months and she still manages to fuck up my order every single time as if she just started that day....she over charges me every single time....when I do pay for extra items like coconut milk or add shots she literally never adds them. Basically gives me the most watered down beverages every single time.....only have this issue when this person is working there....literally don't understand how she still has a job there.... When she's not there I'm given amazing service, drinks done correctly and priced correctly. I know starbucks policy they'll remake your drink if it's incorrect or wrong which I've had her do but somehow she manages to make it even worse.... Not only that but another time I was there I was waiting in line like anybody else and she literally walks out from the barista stand and starts taking the ladies order from behind me.....what the hell!!! I'm in front of this person and she personally goes and takes her order and makes it. Also there's a huge line of people as well when she did this in front of everybody...I was so pissed and then when it's my turn takes my order and still fucks it up just like she does every other time she takes my order..... There's literally no effort or care when she serves you. At this point if I know she is working I walk right back out and don't even bother to order anything knowing it's going to be messed up anyways. A iced coffee with cream and 2 sugars how can you fuck that up....and then charges for cream when thats free since its only a splash....I don't understand. I honestly don't know where to begin with this place. The major problem I have is the lack of training or the total ineptitude of staff. Simple questions such as "does this have milk in it" seems to be misunderstood somehow. Went through the drivethrough and ordered their sugar cookie latte, advertised as dairy-free and reassured it was "vegan" from the meatball at the order screen. She handed us our drinks with whip cream on top which confused me as I handed the drinks back. Normally these drinks dont come with whipcream so as she took it away she talked with the other meatball "barista" who remade the drinks. The first mistake should have been a red flag but I was reassured AGAIN with the second batch of drinks that they were again "vegan". The sheer lack of awareness baffles me as staff should know that Starbucks DOES NOT certify their drinks as vegan, as I found out shortly after. Needless to say, the certain staff are dullheaded, lack proper experience, and should be stuck with positions that do not require them to speak. The female high-school meatball who mans the drive through window has put someone in the hospital and I won't be returning anytime soon. Sat in line for over 20 minutes to pick up a mobile order, and when I finally received my drink it was already mostly melted and watery. The poor girl taking orders was very clearly visibly overwhelmed trying to do multiple things by herself while the 2 other employees behind her could be seen paying more attention to their cellphones. Once an employee finally greeted me at the window, after sitting for an entire minute, he tried handing me the incorrect order before I could tell him it was not my order. Took 4 minutes (doesn't seem like that long, but when waiting in line.... eternity) to approach me to take my order. Make my order- bacon egg bites. Dude never puts them in the oven. Finally after another 5 minutes I approach, he looks at me, asks if I ever got my egg bites, I say no, then he springs into action. I understand it was a 10 minute experience overall in the restaurant, but the entire crew was actively ignoring people and those that were working were way more focused on fulfilling mobile orders.
