Been frequenting this amazing establishment for ten years. Over the years, there has been a lot of staffing changes but I can honestly say the current AM crew is phenomenal! They are quick and attentive, always willing to correct any mistakes. Trista is a great leader and a lot of subpar service issued have been corrected under her supervision. Still running slow at drive thru...people are friendly and seem to be trying to give good service, but it just takes forever to get thru the drive up. I also wish there were some big improvement in the breakfast sandwich offerings...it sounds great to offer a bacon, cheese, egg sandwich, but, when the roll is funky, semi stale tasting, the egg is a pre cooked, maybe frozen disc...yuk! I frequent Starbucks often. I have Crohns Disease and their Chocolate Banana protein Smoothie makes a great breakfast replacement meal without upsetting my stomach, however this Starbucks location can never get it right. The few times Ive asked them to make it, it always comes out very bland... Equivalent to the taste of milk, bananas and ice. It's very disappointing and seems to be the only location that serves it this way. This morning my husband wanted iced coffee and this particular Starbucks happened to be closest to where we were. He ordered a Mocha Frappuccino with a shot of espresso. He too was very disappointed with the flavor. He said it tasted as if they were skimping on using all the ingredients, much like my smoothie. If I'm going to pay the same price regardless, I'd much rather go to a different Starbucks location with better quality. read more

Overall, I'm neutral about this location. They have great customer service and the drive thru moves with relative speed, even when busy (though I still recommend going in if you can due to the poor design of the parking lot). My primary issue is the inconsistency with quality. Some days, I get a sweet cream cold brew and it tastes delicious. Other days, it's as if it has no cream at all and I have to throw it out. The drinks are too expensive for that and I usually find myself just going to Dunkin' Donuts instead where it's cheaper and usually made as ordered. The other irritation with this location is their inability to affix the lid. It's almost a 90-95% certainty that I will end up with coffee on me. This is another reason to go inside because you can press the lid down prior to picking up your drink. Not much you can do when it's being handed to you from the window. I have used this location for Uber eats delivery before and their packaging in that regard is great so I recommend that if you are a regular. I would definitely use it if I found the drink quality reliable. read more

This is the worst Starbucks in this area! The drinks taste nothing like the other Starbucks. The lines a very slow. I know how a triple shot should taste but they charge for triple and only use 1 or two. The drinks taste watered down so we try ristretto but I don't think they know how so that is horrible too. This is by far the worst Starbucks I've ever been to and I have traveled around the world. I've given them many chances. I even called corporate. This store can't be helped and needs new management or should just shut down. If you really want to know how to make coffee go to the Tampa (Gandy) location. If i could give this place zero stars i would. I'm on vacation with family and i ordered my drinks at 8:19 and the app sent me to the store to pick up. The store continued to yell with negative attitudes at the people outside that we couldn't grab our drinks that were done because they opened at 9... My drinks and food sat out for 45 minutes!!! My family had cold food and drinks and went back and they were rude and yelled at my mother. They slammed the drive thru window on us twice and told us there was sign but there was no signs and poor people that waited got cold drinks and food. Will never go to starbucks ever again. It's Starbucks, chain coffee house. Similar to fast food places, if you're going here you should know what to expect. This location specifically the drive through always seems to be slow. The parking lot can be very crowded and awkward. It has a Japanese steakhouse next to it. (Which on a side note is fantastic) The review is 3 stars cause this place is just average. Some of the employees are great and others not so much. The drinks are sometimes great and others not so much. Overall I've been to worse locations and been to better. But this is my go to/closest location so it's bound for me to experience the ups and downs. read more

Slowest Starbucks drive thru in history. I could have driven back home, brewed a pot of coffee, and packed a travel mug in the time it takes to get through their drive thru. I'm not a daily regular, nor do I visit during peak hours, so I can't review the service at it's busiest. However, I have experienced consistent quality and service each and every time I've visited this location. My coffee is always hot and my iced drinks are always cold. My orders have been accurate on every visit, and my barista and drive thru attendants have been consistently friendly. I have yet to visit the interior of the shop, but the drive thru and parking facilities appear to be well maintained and clean. read more

Most of the time I go through the drive thru here. While sometimes the line is a bit long I have to say these guys move in record time. The line moves fast and my coffee is waiting for me when I get to the window. How much more can you ask for? Inside there is a decent amount of seating and there is quite a bit of outdoor seating too. Overall this is a great Starbucks. read more

I moved here from California. So it was Starbucks or Petes coffee,,, or perhaps 7-11. Starbucks it was. This particular store is busy every time I'm there. Yea,, store security! Never seem to see the same employee twice however. Not sure it's because of high turnover or scattered hours. Always had the same person in CA and my drink was ready for me by the time I got to the register. I miss that. I also cannot have my favorite Starbucks drink, white chocolate mocha, because I'm diabetic now, but am happy they make so many sugar free syrups. So it's a "Iced, Venti, Decaf, Skinny Vanilla Latte" for me now. Don't think they've ever gotten my order wrong here,, but I did say ICED !! That means I want ice in the drink. This location is a joke. A bunch of young kids working making up their own rules and causing such an inconvenience to customers. The drinks are never really consistent in taste and they give you a attitude when you ask them to remake it. Slowest Starbucks EVER. Stopped in for a coffee. Nobody in line so it looked to be quick. TWENTY MINUTES LATER I'm still waiting for coffee. They have one barista and a constant flow of drive-up customers that seem to get priority. That single barista is doing everything while three registers are pumping orders at her. The absolute slowest service I've EVER experienced at a SB. Often times there is only one barista on a register, even when the line is snaked around their display. Other baristas are lazily moving about the store, or exiting from the rear room, and appear to be doing much of nothing. Having worked in customer service myself in the past, common customer service sense says, if as a barista you are available and see a line forming, hop on the secondary cash register and help minimize the line and wait. There appears to be no pep in their step or desire to consider their customer's time. Maybe they need more caffeine themselves. :-/ Or maybe management needs to reconsider how their resources are allocated, especially during peak hours. In all my years and travels about the various SB's, this is hands down the least efficient and customer conscious. :-( I've frequented many SB's that have 3 registers open at once (1 for the drive-thru, if applicable.) Get it together Big Bend SB! Update: A week or so after I wrote and posted the above review, someone claiming to be an employee of this establishment angrily inboxed me via Yelp using profanity and spouting off offensive jargon. So not only are they unprofessional, but also defensive, and incapable of handling constrictive criticism. With despicable outreach such as this, I'm thankful to no longer live in the vicinity! Love Starbucks! I go close to every day. Excellent service, but they are slower during certain times of the day. If they could find the groove like they have in the mornings, they'd have 5 stars from me. This is your typical Starbucks, however I'm giving them 2 stars because they are incredibly slow. Some mornings you may be waiting in the drive through for around 15 minutes. How hard is it to follow a THREE ingredient recipe? They consistently use the wrong tea bag and this last visit was "the straw that broke the camels back". I brought my drink and told them it was wrong. Instead of them correcting the issue and sending me on my way, I had to wait for everyone (PLUS the people that came in after me) to get their order. I usually visit this location due to it being on my way to work each morning, this morning I ordered for myself and coworkers 4 drinks that consisted of the White Mocha. I was told while ordering that they have it right now but they only have a limited supply. When I got to work I drank my drink and realized they gave us all 4 drinks with toffee nut and not white mocha. My coworker who also ordered this drink is ALLERGIC. When I called and asked to speak to a manager he told me he couldn't issue me a refund but they could remake my order. I went back and got all of my drinks remade (no manager came to greet me). When I got back to work with the new drinks we realized they were made now with cinnamon/carmel. Me and my coworkers will not be revisiting this location. Always randomly closed. Went there this morning 10/25/2020 at 7 am, there's a banner hanging out from that says "we're open". I go to the drive thru but it's blocked off. I park to go inside and the door is locked. There's a sign saying closed for deep cleaning will reopen 10/25, and yet they are closed. This kind of thing happens all the time there. I am a long time Starbucks customer and I usually go 5-7 times a week. I use the mobile app almost every time and they still manage to get it wrong. I rarely get an acknowledged when I come in and I always always say "thank you and have a good day." I would say 1 in 20 times someone looks up with a half interest and then goes back to what they are doing. I go anywhere from 6am to 3pm and it's always the same. There was one guy working the register Sunday who was very personable.... hire more of him! I would almost rather pay the 20% upcharge at the airport just because they are friendly and always get my drink right! read more

It's really sad that the location (store #18589 - Big Bend in Riverview, FL) conducts business in such a poor manner. Yesterday I waited 20 minutes in a drive-thru with no other cars for one cup of coffee because they were poorly staffed. Today which is 2/12/14 they sold me a dozen cake cops that were packaged for sale 12/23/13 with a 2-day shelf life. Had me sick all morning and called corporate which basically they gave me my money back plus $3.50 for the inconvenience on my app. I tried contacting the store directly but gave up after letting the phone ring for an hour with no answer. I'll be taking my coffee addiction to my kitchen coffee maker from now on. It's insane to pay what they charge and get less than mediocre service. read more

They NEVER have anything that I order. EVERY SINGLE TIME I go I order the same thing and they let me order it and then I get to the window just for them to tell me that they are out of everything that I asked for. This happens every single time and i'm not exaggerating. The line here is always very long so I would like to be told that they do not have what I want when I order it so that I don't have to sit and wait for NOTHING. Service here is at the level of a 7-11. Boy taking order gave off attitude that he was too good to make eye contact. Condiments area had only one cooler which was unlabeled. Could not get anyone's attention until I had to raise my voice to find out what was in the container, and get some milk. My fiancé and I visit this location every time we visit my in-laws. Over the past 3 years the service has never changed. There are usually 5-6 employees working but there is no sense of urgency. It takes 3-4 times as log to get our drinks than the Starbucks standard. The employees are all over the place and do not seem to have any specific assigned station to keep the store running smoothly. If there was another Starbucks closer, I would be more than happy to avoid this one and drive a little further for better service. read more
