Stopped in for the first time yesterday the man who took my order was not very friendly he looked very annoyed. Placed my order. I waited 2 to 3 minutes while they were cleaning no one made my coffee. The lady asked if she could help me and I told her I already placed my order and then she realized there were two tickets and then finally made my coffee won't be stopping in there again. I don't live in Rockford but I go to this location when I go visit my sister because she lives down the block. Every time I order my coffee with extra ice they make it watered down literally every single time I have to go back inside for them to redo my order . Every thing is made rushed in my opinion. I don't normally write reviews, but my experience here was so bad I had to write something. I went through the drive-thru today, and ordered a venti Frappuccino. When I got to the window, she gave me the wrong size. No big deal, just told I ordered a venti. She made a new one and gave it back with out saying anything. Odd, but I thanked her anyways. I get to driving and start sipping. It was the iciest and chunkiest Frappuccino I've ever ordered at Starbucks. I tried mixing it around, by that didn't do anything. I couldn't get anything through the straw. These drinks are pricey. If I wasn't already half-way home, I would've gone in and asked for a new one. I don't recommend this location read more

this is by far my favorite Starbucks location. Everyone is cheerful has a smile on their face and does an exceptional job at making drinks, especially considering the fast-paced environment they're working in. I've never seen a store, so busy in my life there is an exceptional gentleman that works there by the name of Trey, he treats everyone with such love and enthusiasm, grace cheerfulness I could go on . Makes the best drinks always to perfection. Also, for anyone complaining about their drinks being made wrong. All you have to do is let them know and they will fix it. It's cold and slightly snowy outside, but I wanted to get out of the house for a change of scenery. I have some gift cards that I need to use up anyways. I walked into the warmth and was immediately greeted with a cheery good morning! I got a skinny caramel macchiato that was made quickly, is hot the way I like it, and tastes just like it should! Jorge at the register was personable and looked like he enjoys his job. The store has plenty of seating with variety. When I say variety, I mean bar style seating, 2-4 seater tables, and armchairs. It's suitable for different sized groups and I like the addition of plants that they have as part of the decor for a cozy atmosphere. The only thing I would change is the salty footprints on the floors, but it is winter after all and they probably mop throughout the day. Would recommend this location. read more

Good drinks. I usually don't like warm drinks. but whatever they recommended me last time was really good.

I only frequent this location every once in a while. And time and time again I'm reminded why I avoid this location they are rude and this time around they were so disgusting. I say "disgusting" because the gal "Lydia" was touching her lips... touching her eyes cleaning out her eye booger... rubbed her finger under her nose. She then proceeded to get upset when I asked for someone else to make my drink. After ordering my drinks and waiting in line... they then tell me they no longer have the ingredients to make my drink. I ask for a refund because I don't want anything else. They huff and puff as if I asked them for the impossible. It took three different people to figure out a simple refund. Not impressed... not worth the time. read more

From the roadside view this looks like an abandoned old Starbucks, but inside it's actually just a regular Starbucks in kinda run-down building. Whatever. They made me a damn fine latte in my time of need AND they have long drive-thru with several menu boards posted to keep your attention. That way you don't get tired of telling people and get irritated with costumers. Have to agree that it does look old (and a bit sketchy) from the outside. But! The inside is so well done, and probably one of the best layouts I have seen at a Starbucks. The layout is optimized for work: if you want to pull out a laptop or heavy textbook, theres plenty of bar like seating with outlets. Really wish I had more time to spend here. I decided to make my order via the Starbucks app and forgot to add 1 pump of peppermint syrup (keep in mind this a 50 cent add-on). I called this Starbucks location to see if there was any possibility to adjust my order and was willing to pay the 50 cents for my 1 pump of peppermint syrup. I was told that they were unable to fulfill my request although I was willing to pay the extra 50 cents for the 1 pump of syrup. I was told this was due to the fact that because the order was already placed, they could not make any changes to the order even though I called. This is extremely frustrating for me because I don't believe that it would be too difficult to add 1 pump of syrup somehow to my order. I have gone to other Starbucks locations previously in the past and if I were to have forgotten something on my order, they would accommodate my request and would be willing to make the customer happy and have always been willing to pay extra if need be. I don't believe that adding a pump of peppermint syrup that is worth 50 cents would be putting Starbucks out of business and don't understand why I was told "NO"to an add-on that I was willing to pay extra for. Very disappointed with this experience. I've always had great experiences at any Starbucks location that I have gone to and honestly believed that it was just a given that Starbucks would always give excellent customer service but that doesn't seem to be the case at this location. What could have been a 5 star review explaining how this Starbucks location was willing to accommodate my request and was willing to help me has unfortunately turned into a 1 star review over a 50 cent add-on.... I completely understand that it's my fault that I didn't add the 1 pump of peppermint syrup to my order but I don't think that It would have been too hard to just add 1 pump of syrup to my order and was very surprised to deny my 50 cent request that i was willing to pay for. read more

This is one of my favorite Starbucks locations in Rockford area. Recently new baristas are hired. They are good, but I've missed previous familiar faces in the location. One opportunity for this location is that I noticed many flies in the store. I am wondering a way to get rid of them. Specially two flies are fling inside of cake displaying shelf. The setting is more inviting than some of the other Starbucks in town, although I do wish there were more sofas and less tables. The baristas have as yet been nothing but pleasant to me, despite complaints from my friends that they were treated rudely. Starbucks has taken great lengths to homogenize their coffee experience across their billion locations, so it'll always be above-average coffee; just don't expect any flourishes, interesting flavors, or latte art. read more

This is one of my fave starbucks in town. The staff are generally pretty friendly, especially one girl who knows me and asks which flavor i want when she seems me. She also asked for my name. Which makes someone feel good to have that connection ;) i also appreciate the fact that they keep this place clean. I almost always experience someone walking around cleaning something up one way or another. I also really enjoy the setting/layout of this location as well as the size of location. I wish I could have given a higher score but come on! The Starbucks on Alpine can do better. I come here almost every other day and order the same drink. A Grande Salted Carmel Cold Foam Cold Brew. Each time I order this the drink taste different! It should taste the same every time. It's either too bitter, too sweet, or on a lucky day just right. I'm paying nearly $5 for a medium drink that can't be made right. Something needs to be done. The staff needs better training and they ALL need to follow the same drink recipe. Please! read more

Here at the moment. Surprised at how courteous the staff was, considering that often times the usual starbucks atmosphere is an egotistical glare of move along. Very glad that this one that is closest to my house is unusually kind so I will have it at the top of the list when I consider wifi places to work. Also, It is the biggest Starbucks I have seen in Rockford. Comparable to the size of the ones downtown chicago. Tons and Tons of seating. I don't even think that the draw from this area is big enough to ever have this place filled. It's one big room with an ultra long square High table with 10 chairs on each side and 2 library type tables where books can be spread out. A couple 2 seater tables and a long bar table against window with like 14 high chairs. That's about 48 seats and there are only 5 people here atm. read more

When the person that took my order didn't know what I was talking about, another worker rudely jumped in and said to me that there is no such thing as that drink.
