Still a real poor excuse as a Starbucks store front. This line has not moved in the last ten minutes (maybe more, I left). No team members outside attempting to control the queue - two entries that allow "cuts" in line and also doesn't allow in store customers to leave the parking lot. i went yesterday and it was fine and then i made a mobile order today and it literally had a sign on the door that said drive through only?!? the door was totally locked and closed and nobody would come help me. i WALKED so not sure how i could use the drive thru without a car. i wasted a good chunk of my morning dealing with this and was disappointed that this starbucks could be "open" like that read more

I really don't know why their drive through line takes so much longer than others. But most times of the day it does.

The staff here are very friendly, but the store hours are really unreliable. Although it says they close at 8 PM, they often close much earlier. Ive come by three different times and each time they closed at a different hour. One time I bought a coffee to study here, and just a few minutes later they announced they were closing early because they were short-staffed. I wouldnt have made the purchase if I had known, since it forced me to go to another coffee shop and buy another drink just to have a place to study. I hope they start updating their hours accurately. It would save customers a lot of time and inconvenience, especially those with busy planned schedules. read more

This starbucks has consistently let me down... the only reason I continue to give it a chance is because of its proximity to where I live. The store hours are very inconsistent. If they have a call out they sinply close the store front without any warning on their app. So when I go to pick up my mobile order I have to get in line behind 5 other people. I've given this location more than three shots at making a good coffee. Unfortunately it has never been good. Someone needs to get in there and re calibrate their espresso machine, it's burnt every time I get a coffee. After walking our dog on the beautiful grassy area of Shelter Island, we really needed some coffee to settle our stomachs until we get to dinner. This is a huge Starbucks with plenty of seating options. There were at least 20 guys sitting with their laptops in various areas but there were still plenty of seats and didn't feel crowded. Quick caffeine fix. Lately I've been on a Starbucks kick and I came here because it was convenient for me not to get off the main road going to base. However it is not convenient to use their parking lot. With all the cars in line for the drive thru, I had to do like a fifteen point turn to back into a parking space. And there's only about 10 parking stalls and maybe street parking on a lucky day. Years ago the building was an old KFC restaurant. Now it's all modern and way spacious. Not as high tech as the McDs in Lake Murray Blvd but a lot more hipster then the Liberty Station Starbucks. I know you read both reviews. The staff was friendly and busy trying to get the drive thru line smaller. I got a two pump mocha extra shot made right. Overall three stars. The staff quick and friendly. Inside is spacious and clean. My drink was made to order correctly. Parking situation down grades their rating big time. Now excuse me, I gotta figure out how to get out of here. I'm surprised at the reviews because this is the only Starbucks in San Diego that has never messed up my drive thru order. Loved the location - we will always remember it as the place where our puppy had her first puppacino! The drive thru line was out the lot, but it moved quickly. This Starbucks is located on the corner of Rosecrans and Ingelow. You can choose to go inside or through the drive thru. There's a good amount of seating inside with some outdoor seating, as well. Employees are mostly nice and service is mostly quick. Parking in the front fills up quickly, but there is also some parking spots in the back and along the street. This one can be hit or miss. Sometimes drinks are really good. With seasonal/limited drinks, it seems pretty often that they run out of the syrup or whatever ingredient needed to make them. Other times, they don't pay attention to detail. For example, there have been several times where we have asked for no whip, and they end up adding it anyway. We even check the label and it specifically states "no whip." If you are in a rush and this is the closest Starbucks, then go ahead and go to this one. Otherwise, if you can afford to go to another one, you are probably better off going elsewhere. read more
