There is a few indoor seats and more on an outside patio Pet friendly Plant selection is minimal so I think they lean more into the coffee part of the name I ordered a decaf dirty vanilla chai. Really good. Not too sweet. I also got a Nutella pop tart. It was a good shortbread cookie with a little bit of Nutella. Cute little coffee shop in OB! I love the vibe, it's very aesthetic with lots of plants and thoughtful decor. They have a few tables inside as well as some outdoor seating. I ordered a latte, which was good. The almond croissant was tasty at first, but the center was a bit off, it was overly gooey, and the filling didn't seem fully cooked and tasted a little strange. Aside from that, the rest of it was really delicious. My husband and I were looking for a new Coffee Spot and stumbled upon this place. I actually saw this place multiple times when I used to go to yoga box but never saw that. Great spot if you're looking for your traditional coffees, there's not much of an expanded menu and smoothies or other juices. We also ordered their croissant breakfast sandwiches for a little disappointed that they kind of looked like reheated McDonald's sandwiches (tasted like it too). This is a nice little coffee shop as you enter Ocean Beach from the 8. They sport inside and outside seating, including various plants and succulents for sale. They do a lot of their own propagation, too. I had a cortado and an oatmeal cookie with cranberries. The cortado was very well made. The young lady from Oregon did a very nice job on it. It was smooth and rich. The oatmeal cookie was good, too. It had a good chew and nice flavor. The little bits of cranberries were good eating. They offer a variety of espresso based beverages, vegan and non vegan baked goods, and breakfast sandwiches, not to mention toasted bagels as well. The service was very friendly and upbeat. I'll admit, I've known about this place for a while and often walk past it on my way to or from People's, but I never stopped in. Since I drink black coffee about 90% of the time, I usually just make it at home instead of visiting one of the many great coffee shops in OB. This morning, however, I needed to drop my car off at Ebers Street Garage and hadn't had a chance to make my morning coffee yet. As my pup and I walked home past Ocean Beach Coffee and Plants, I decided to finally stop in and grab a coffee. I'm so glad I did! The two ladies working inside were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even greeted the dog of the woman who came in after me by name, which, as a devoted dog mom, I absolutely loved! A huge bonus for me is that they offer vegan pastries, which I'll definitely be coming back to try. While I wouldn't call myself a coffee snob, I am a bit picky, and if the coffee isn't good, I'd rather go without. That said, they have good coffee. It was pretty busy when we first arrived, the woman who took my order was doing a million things at once and had switched my order (I got one hot drink and one cold). I ordered a cold brew on special that day with pumpkin spiced flavors & I could tell that the barista was putting lots of care and effort into concocting my drink. I then opted to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful weather and take in the ambiance. The patio area is shaded and they have WiFi for those that want to park it in a great space for some work or relax time. I enjoyed seeing the plants around the shop and the little area with local artist's work for purchase. My daughter introduced me to one of her favorite little coffee joints in Ocean Beach. She loves their drip coffee here and I ordered a blueberry muffin from their pastry selection. We sat down at a small table inside and enjoyed our and coffee together. There's also a small patio outside. They have quite a large selection of savory and sweet and muffins and cookies. I was sad to see that only small succulents were offered, but they had cute merch, otherwise. I tried an iced almond matcha latte, which was definitely not my favorite. He was pleasant to each customer while being efficient in getting their orders ready. On a recent Thursday morning I had the days off, so I decided to stop by Ocean Beach Coffee and Plants for the first time. I was with my dog and on the way to a nearby dog park. I hadn't yet had my morning coffee, and I had seen that they sell bagels and pastries. I wanted to sit down, eat a small breakfast, drink coffee, and see if they would make a pup cup for my dog. Anyway, it was just before 10 in the morning. Street parking was free and easy. I walked in with my dog. I started to take a look at the pastries, but upon scanning the room, most of the tables indoor and outdoor were taken. There were two small empty tables inside and one small one outside. I thought it would feel too squished. Unfortunately, the area just wasn't as comfortable as I had hoped. There were plants throughout and some handmade jewelry for sale, but somehow, it didn't feel as cozy as I had hoped. I decided to skip the bagel and the pup cup, and get my coffee to go. I ordered a banana bread latte. I asked for it half sweet and with nonfat milk. They were able to do that. It came out quickly, and was hot and delicious. It tasted exactly like banana bread I was able to enjoy the coffee in the park that day. I would like to try some of their other specialty drinks. I had almost given this coffee shop three stars, as I just wan't too fond of the sitting area, but the coffee was great, and I realized that one of my favorite coffee shops is a place that doesn't even offer seating. I'm not sure if I'll ever enjoy my coffee in the coffee shop, but it's a great place to stop by on the way to the dog park or when running errands nearby. read more

Probably my favorite coffee in all of San Diego. I get an iced vanilla latte (usually with oat milk) and I'm always greeted with nice calm energy. All the baristas there are so kind and friendly and I love the plants (especially the cool water tank one) and their "trinket town" and their community oriented vibe. The pastries always hit the spot and the stamp card is clutch. The walk up to the cafe is always serotonin-giving too with trees and plant life around the sidewalk. My only issue is making my latte last more than 2 minutes bc I love it so much I'm always excited to show my friends this place and they're always like :0 omg this is so good and it makes me happy. read more
