On 5/2/26 I walked in and stood at the cash for a few minutes ignored while six employees chatted and went about their business. Three customers were waiting for their order and I almost asked them if I was standing in the wrong place to order. On of the two employes standing at the counter did come and ask me what I wanted. I ordered a chocolate muffin that fell apart when I tried to pick it up, too much chocolate in it that melted on your hand. The breakfast sandwich was made with a stale bun and dripping with grease, and my coffee was tepid. It was $21.00 which I felt was pricy. read more

They said they could not serve my cold brew to the top due to the caffeine.lol That is why I ordered the cold brew!!lol We are adults buying cold brew coffee. Astonishing. Avocado Feta Deluxe is delicious, the honey latte is good for someone who wants something more sweet than bitter. Mango Buzz energy is just a straight smooth mango smoothie, does taste like there's an energy drink there somewhere but unsure what it could be. I've never been a coffee drinker but Better Buzz actually got me hooked on coffee during COVID. The service can be eh. I guess it just depends who you interact with. Nowadays everything is so rushed and they cut you off before you're finished talking. When it wasn't as popular I asked about what would they recommend and they recommended their basic Best Drink Ever. I loved the sweetness. I also get the Mocha Buzz Blended coffee. I wouldn't say it's the best coffee in the world but if I want a little sweet treat I'll come here. Parking does suck although there is a neighborhood near by so you can find parking. Got the Americano+Vanilla and had a good coffee taste to it (sometimes the Vanilla can overwhelm the coffee) my Husband had the mint infused coffee-he said it was good but almost too sweet. Maple pecan Danish-good, liked the everything cream cheese, a bit of a surprise because it was savory (thought it was something else-like a cheese Danish)-but good. better Breakfast sandwich-just ok-the pretzel part of the bread was super hard and seemed microwaved which was a big factor in the texture-so meh. I could tell that the place was good. There was a line going all the way down the street leading up to their drive thru. There is a small parking lot but the wrap around line for the drive thru made it very difficult to get in so we decided to park in the street adjacent. The place was bright and vibrant. The girl taking my order was bubbly and friendly. She was helpful in me making my choice given that it was my first time. We got a caramel frappe drink and the iced vanilla oat milk latte. Both were really good. They have lots of different drinks and flavors that look interesting. They also sell food and snacks. This was a great first experience of their brand. While the place is tiny, the line moves quickly and the staff is authentically friendly, not like the fake smiles at the other chain with the windmill. The menu item that immediately caught my eye was their Best Drink Ever. For a coffee aficionado like me, that term is a challenge. However, after the first zip, I was sold. Americano style with vanilla base. Not overly sweet, a balanced addictive flavor profile. They might really be on to something here. I will be back for another round. read more

For the 5 days we were visiting San Diego, we got Better Buzz four times. Loved the Cinnamon Cream Cold Brew, Best Drink Ever, and OG Acai Bowl with almond butter. The regular sized hot Best Drink Ever is the same size as the Large Iced one. The Açaí bowl with the almond butter was delicious-- we got it 3 times. I tried the Hazelnut drink, but I didn't like it as much as the cinnamon cream cold crew and Best drink ever. The cinnamon cream cold brew was definitely my favorite. My boyfriend bought the vanilla cream powder they sell. He said it tastes so good when he adds it to his coffee. read more

But otherwise, the service is friendly, I got a medium roast coffee and found it delicious, and last time I got their avocado toast which was incredibly good on a thick slice of house made whole-grain bread. I give them all thumbs up except for the parking situation. I was disappointed that staff working the drive-through line who I walked right by after parking illegally in front of them didn't give me a heads up. Because there was already another car parked there, I didn't think twice. Figured the sign was about street sweeping or something. But it is for every day! read more

After multiple visits and four incorrect orders, I was again given the wrong drink. I politely let the barista at the window know, and they remade it, but the replacement iced latte was even worse. It was nearly colorless (instead of the usual dark brown), had no ice, and tasted like water. When I brought this up, the barista responded with a poor attitude, saying, "That's the way it's supposed to be." This location has been consistently disappointing. The drinks are inconsistent, and the staff lacks professionalism and customer service. I ended up throwing the drink away, it was honestly the worst black tea latte I've had from any shop.
