This is a cute little locally owned coffee shop in the Point Loma/Ocean Beach area of Nimitz Boulevard. The space is nice and clean and they had a small assortment of baked goods available. There's very little seating inside so we sat at the little makeshift table outside while we waited for our coffees. I thought it was kind of strange that they called out the coffees as they were done separately, even though my fiancé and I ordered them at the same time. My latte was done a few minutes before his Americano. The latte was good, standard. His Americano took a couple more minutes after my latte. He asked to have a little bit of milk added, but that milk must've been ice cold because his Americano was lukewarm instead of hot. Maybe the water added to the espresso shop wasn't hot? On our first morning, before the conference, we stopped by a bakery first and then headed to Kakawa Coffee for coffee. There are some street parking on Voltaire St. The interior is so cute and cozy, and if I lived closer, I would most definitely stop by for a coffee and stay to read a few chapters. Actually, if she had just filled my cup half way and let me know that next time I'd have to be charged for it that may have been customer service and that may have brought me back here, but I'm out.
