My Mocha Latte was nice and chocolaty with whipped cream on top and because we were staying inside, I got it in a large mug. I'm leaving this review only because I've seen how many negative reviews exist and I just haven't had that kind of experience here. Is it really busy? Sure! Where in Sarasota isn't nuts anymore, especially during season?! Also, it's a small place. However, if you want your drink made very well nearly every single time, this location is the place for you. I once had my drink made at a different Starbucks on my way to work and it was so bad. I came to this location, told them about it, and they were incredibly gracious and made me a new drink that was made to perfection. Food was good, service was super slow. 8 ppl behind the counter and we waited 15min. For two sandwiches and coffees. As I stood there, there were 4 ppl in line and 5ppl waiting. Saturday 11:19am. This is a Starbucks and they had a broken Nitro machine. And the person behind the counter made the comment that it's been down for a while, then giggled. Between three/four stars here, simply because the wait has gotten to be nearly outrageous. Even with my mobile orders, by the time I arrive to pick up, I've had to wait another 10-15 minutes. :/ I give it four stars because the folks working actually acknowledge the wait and seem to feel really badly about it. I'm guess they're short-staffed, though there seem to be several folks working. Other Starbucks have snooty staff that barely address your presence as customers, HA! Ordered online before coming in. Paid online as well. Came in to pick up order, Several drinks were on the counter; none of them mine (I ordered hot chocolate for my daughter and latte for myself). Girl behind counter asks if I had online order. I say yes and tell her what I ordered. She then makes the hot chocolate and I'm still waiting On my latte. I am up having to wait another 20 minutes and five other customers orders before I finally get mine. They're not very attentive nor focused here apparently. That includes pharmacies and Popeyes. My latest and last attempt I waited over 30 minutes while I was 4th in line. Reviews about long waits go back years and it is not addressed. I really want to commend the staff; as soon as you walk in they greet you and they seem sincere in their welcoming. The drink had to be remade because they had not added the extra foam as I ordered, but they gladly did it without any problem. The ladies restroom needs cleaning as the toilet itself was dirty on the inside and on the seat, itself and also the toilet paper was not coming out properly as there's something wrong with the mechanism. Probably the slowest Starbucks I've ever experienced. Particularly the drive through. The baristas never seem too rushed despite the long line, they chit chat with each other, as you drive up to the window after 10 minutes they will ignore you while they take another order before asking what your order is. Even if you put an order in via the app, they will start it when you drive up, even if you just ordered a venti regular coffee black it will take minutes. Judging from the low rating on here, I'm guessing they aren't interested in improving their service. I've waited 17 minutes so far. Turning around isn't an option in the drive-up. I've been to this location multiple times while visiting family in the area. I find that service at Starbucks is usually a little slower, but this one takes the cake. They definitely take their sweet time. I have only gone through the drive through here, and the employees are always friendly. Placed a mobile order on a Saturday morning. Showed up and the drinks were ready in a reasonable time. I waited about 5 min and asked if they had the food items in queue or behind the counter. They didn't. They we're "running a bit behind." No problem. I waited another 20 min and still nothing, not even an acknowledgement. The guy who appeared to be the manger just kept telling the girl working the food station (in a condescending way that was loud enough for us all to hear) that she needed to get it out faster. He did this several times, which led me to wonder why he just didn't move her to another station and get the food caught up himself. After 30 minutes and no update, I had to leave. Aesthetically, the long table nearest the counter had half opened boxes of merch. The sales wall was mostly empty, indicating they were working on it and stopped mid job; ergo the boxes. It was pretty symbolic of the entire store however ... disorganized and out of position. Starbucks regional management needs to get this location fresh training or a fresh team. I dont know what happened but this starbucks is going down the hill. New hires shouldnt be put in drive thru causing delays. It seems the cashier doesnt know what to Do When you give a cash and a card at the window. I wanted to pay whatever cash i gave him and the rest on the card. I've been going to Starbucks for many years as most people have. I Purchased coffee from many different locations. This particular location sticks out as an extremely poor performer. I have had more cups of coffee made incorrectly at this location than any other. Today I ordered my usual iced white mocha And they must have run out of milk because it Was very watered down and A lot more liquidy than usual. Not to mention a drastic difference in taste. There are only three ingredients in my white mocha concoction. So I don't understand why it is so difficult on a consistent basis to get it right. read more

The staff is polite and always helpful. One think you wont find here is bad service (I suppose the coffee addiction has its up side). For the record I am giving them 3 stars based on service and the storefront. They have maybe 15 seats with their own outlet at each one? Any other Starbucks you go to try and work at there is one seat and you can eyeball it right away and know if you will bother taking 4 more steps in or not. The coffee is still brutal and espresso easily drowned out and rightfully so with the sweetness of their drinks. That being said work here but try not to taste your coffee! read more
