I used to come in here & get food/drink while waiting for my car to be repaired nearby but sadly that's out. I was in a time crunch and stopped here for a sandwich I could eat in the car. Decided to try the pocket sandwich, got Spicy Falafel and Jalapeño Chicken. They were very small, and the filling in both was disgusting, like baby food, mashed up. Tiny bits of chicken in the Jalapeño Chicken, just mush in the Falafel. Not much taste in either. If cars were water and concrete was a river, this Starbucks would be waterfront property. Located immediately along Highway 99 in North Seattle, this is a popular Starbucks with the drive-thru crowd, although they do have abundant indoor seating as well. Offering the usual variety of Starbucks goodies and swag, the service is fast and friendly here, although the parking lot is a little bit small and challenging to reach if you're coming from the south. I recently learned this is one of the only locations in the greater Seattle area that's open late. I've even had friends drive all the way here from downtown just to get a latte after 7 PM. ;-) Starbucks, I bet you could open up one or two of your downtown and South Lake Union locations a bit later and do well! Meanwhile, me and my friends will continue to drive here for our late night coffee needs. read more

Great little stop when you need something on to go on the road. I love the salted Carmel cold brew, I usually ask for a few less pumps than on the menu to keep the sweetness level down. They have great little sandwiches and snacks to solve your hunger. From healthy to sweet and anything in between. Some of my favorites are chorizo breakfast sandwich for a little spice, feta wrap for a touch of tomato and spinach and the egg white turkey bacon to watch my figure (only 200ish calories!!). And of course you have to finish the stop with a cake pop, I only personally like the chocolate on chocolate one. This Starbucks is usually fine but today the woman stationed in the drive thru window was so rude. She was very short with me and then held out the payment device and said "can you do this tip thing?", I could hardly reach the screen and could not see what I was choosing. She also held it out to me so the screen was upside down. I accidentally picked the highest tip when I wanted to choose the lowest that is usually on the left side of the screen. It was too late when I realized it was upside down. Someone that says "can you do this tip thing?" does not deserve a tip and I got tricked into giving her way more than she deserved. Try letting people see the screen when you're asking for a tip.... read more

I love this Starbucks store so much. All of the Barista's are awesome and provide superb customer service. Our Vanpool regular stops at this location on our way to the office. We can always expect to be met with a smile and kind word, masks and all:-). I especially want to give a special shout out to Yeju Tait. MAN I feel sorry for the staff here. I hadn't been inside for about a year but decided to get some work done while sipping down a cold brew. As I drove in there was a couple that had nodded off at the entrance, with their belongings spread out over the sidewalk. Cool. The patio was full, but not with customers. Whatever I wanted AC anyway. When I started working, it was immediately apparent that half of the work they were doing consisted of frequent bathroom checks and handing out water, sugar, straws, etc. Honestly they looked stressed out. I couldn't focus, as these two guys started eyeing my bag, walking in and out constantly. At one point one of them walked by and put his hand out over my bag. Aaaand I'm out. On my way out, the full extent of the issue hit me. There were another 5-6 absolutely desperate people milling about outside. This Starbucks is 2 blocks away from the ONLY experimental tiny home village where drug use is somehow allowed. This isn't a path to rehab, it's just a place centered around some of the most available drugs in Seattle. The group running the place wants to make the homeless more visible. They sure did. It's hard to watch the other small businesses leaving the area while the city lets this happen. So next time you go through he drive-through, just make sure to tip the staff. This Starbucks is barely a year old so everything about is really nice. The drive thru lane is convenient for the commuters going down Aurora South. I've been in the drive thru a lot when there are a lot of cars at 5-6 AM in the morning. For the most part they get through peak lines pretty well and I've never had an issue with any of the staff that has served me coffee. The inside of this place is pretty similar to all Starbucks. The environment is very inviting and they always play your typical "coffeehouse" music. The staff inside is very personable but the only downfall I can say about this is that they clearly prioritize the drive thru line. While going through the drive thru it would probably take 5 minutes tops to get coffee, the one time I went inside and ordered a coffee (granted this was at 10am on a Saturday) it took about 10 minutes. Not sure if this happens too often but since that experience, I've always went through the drive thru. read more

Alright, I'm long past due for an updated review. I wrote that last one in the wee-cranky hours. These guys just needed to find their flow. New store and all. I'm usually there every Wednesday through Saturday gettin' my required caffiene for the day. Seriously LOVE these guys. I'm in and out within 10 minutes (which is awesome bc most days I'm behind schedule...), and I have yet to be disappointed since the 3/4 full cup incident. On top of that, a coworker went in last week, and Josh made a point to tell her to say hey for him. Idk, that says a lot to me. I adore these guys. As long as this store is around, I will be getting my caramel macchiatos and ham and swiss breakfast sandwiches from them. It tastes better when made by awesome people! Thanks, guys!! read more

I stop by this Starbucks a lot. It's just down the street from one of my work locations, so I stop by for an iced coffee (or more) every now and then. Just this past week, I was getting over a cold and the drive thru line was shorter than usual (note: if it's 4+ cars, just go in. The line always takes forever) and I was able to pull up and order immediately. Since I was still a little sick, all I wanted was an ice water. After I asked, the barista (who had an incredibly rude tone) said, "Um ok. That's it? I'll do it this time, but next time you have to come in if you're only getting water." Sorry, what? It's not an inconvenient order AT ALL. Kind of shocked by her tone, I just said "Uh ok, thank you." and she just ignored me so I pulled forward. No cars pulled up behind me (not even while paying!) and the inside looked pretty slow and empty, sooo sorry to inconvenience you! When I got to the window, she was just holding the water out the window and muttered something that was probably meant to be "Have a good day". Didn't even make eye contact or anything. If you really hate your job that much, get a new one. It took everything in me to ask if there was a problem with me just getting water, considering that I probaspend hundreds on Starbucks coffee per year. Sheesh. read more

This is a new drive through Starbucks which is quite nice. The barista was very nice. I have a been a Starbucks customer for years and years. I'm not a fan of the new sandwiches though. They are really tiny and very expensive for what you get. Although the flavor is good, they are flat and puny compared to the pictures on the menu. I know it's all about convenience but the $7 panini (with tax) does not fill me up and I would expect a sandwich of that price to be a sufficient lunch item. Coffee was decent. Love my Starbucks. Do not attend this one though. I mobile ordered and as a PAYING customer asked nicely (which I am shy, and is hard to do) what the bathroom code was. The worker RUDELY told me the bathroom was closed - no "I'm sorry," not even a nice tone. I tried to ask and sat there awkwardly for at least a minute or two waiting to get someone's attention - and there was no one else in the store! Starbucks hours on the door say they're open until 8 pm. Person inside mouthed "use the drive thru".

I also am thrilled to have a drive-through in the 'hood, and on the first visit (long long line-wait Sunday a.m. bit OK, to be expected) was greeted with good food and nice person at the window. But while I was waiting in the part of the take-out line that is in the main parking lot, SUVs struggled to back out of their spots and not into MY car - EEK! So close. Not good design - and more stress that is not needed in this world. Starbucks, do have accessible parking spaces there, but just leave out the parking spaces in conflict with the drive-through. read more

Everything about this Sbux is the usual: clean, decent coffee and delicious snacks. The problem is the restrooms: they're like freeway rest stop bathrooms, awful gray tile, mirrors obviously removed, air dryers, not well-maintained. Had a horrible experience here at the counter! I took my daughter and her friend here before school, something we had planned all week! We ordered 32.00 worth of coffee and food only to have my card denied ,3 times I ran it! What a disappointment! If you've ever had this happen with a line of people behind you it's not fun. So I left upset with my card company only to find out the problem was on starbucks end which they say they have no control over! Well I beg to differ. One thing you need to understand is this place is usually pretty busy so if you're expecting a bunch of niceties and conversation go elsewhere. That isn't a problem for me. This place runs like a well oiled machine. They always get my order right as well. The staff in generally nice but there is a standout, his name is Jefferson. He is a very nice kid. He is one of the highlights of my Saturday morning as I go through the drive thru. Always very pleasant to talk to. My one gripe is that the seating isn't very comfortable. The stools are uncomfortable, especially when combined with the small round tables. The seats that are comfortable don't have tables. There is a handicapped table and chair but I don't sit there. Overall a good place to get coffee especially if you want to get it and get the hell out. read more

Their drive through staff are just a little too concerned with getting you through the line, rather than treating you with common courtesy and respect. Additionally, (and maybe I'm being presumptuous here) but I would think it's a common courtesy to say thank you for a tip. Convenient drive thru lane, right off of Aurora if you are heading south on it, south of the major 85th street intersection. They also have an outdoor seating area and inside café area, so this is a full service Starbucks in addition to the drive-through. I come to this location every morning before work and they are fast, friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that several times when I have ordered a drink for a personal cup, when I got to the window they had prepared my drink in a disposable cup rather than waiting for me to arrive at the window which for me defeats the purpose of bringing my personal cup to avoid waste. In addition, I've seen them toss the disposable cup in the trash after emptying it to my personal cup, versus a quick rinse and putting in recycling. read more

Believe it or not, we had a wee Starbucks desert going up here in North Seattle along the Aurora corridor below 100th. The opening of this facility solves that, with a drive-thru lane for the commuters and A/C and plenty of natural light for the rest of us. It's not nearly as Aurora-y as one might expect, and the layout is actually conducive to getting a bit of reading or other work done. Nice. read more
