My visit today was only OK. Nothing wrong, but nothing outstanding either. My tea was delicious and made the way I asked. The crew weren't overly friendly, but no one was rude. They were all hustling. Nobody was standing around. Consequently the line moved quickly and I got my tea faster than I expected. That's a plus, I suppose. They earned their gratuity. I don't know if they are redecorating or not, but the decor is very stark and the atmosphere is not inviting. No artworks on the walls, paint color is neutral and boring, no music playing. Hard surfaces and high ceiling makes it echo-y and the constant noise from the drive-thru adds to the din. Simply not a place I want to stay and hang around. This location does a TON of drive-thru business so maybe that's the idea - play to your audience. There is free wi-fi and hard tables and chairs to sit, but no stuffed couches or anything cushy. The parking lot at this location is poorly designed, so when the drive-thru line gets long it blocks all the parking spaces in front of the door, including the handicapped spaces. The alternative is to park on the drive-thru side of the building, but then you have to cut between the cars waiting in line and walk around the building. Not user-friendly in the best of circumstances, and if it's raining I'll go elsewhere. It's the closest one to my house and it's not ALWAYS lined up around the building so I keep going back. Right off the freeway, pretty much. The drive thru is really busy today. Ordered a plain latte with oat milk to go. A venti is $9 with 5 shots of espresso. Not a faster service inside than outside, where our car would have been in the drive thru was in and out in less time than it took to get our drink. Took about 10 minutes from the drive thru. Expect about a 17 minute wait for our drink order if you order inside then. Unbelievable. We should have ordered from the drive thru. We wasted 25 minutes for a Starbucks average coffee on our drive today. Not so cool. read more

Ordered almost $50 in drinks. One was supposed to be a drink without strawberry inclusions. It was handed out and we explained nicely that it was supposed to be without as ordered. She took it back and wasn't gone 4 seconds and handed the same drink back. Refusing to fix your mistake is ridiculous. So disappointed with this Starbucks the last few times. My coffee is consistently different despite having the same exact order everytime. I always use the app to order in advance. I thought this would make it easy to get my order right and I can just run in and grab. This is not the case. Sometimes my order is ready and sometimes it isn't. I can understand if your busy because I may not be the only person who's craving iced coffee at 9:30 PM. The problem comes when I order an iced coffee with a splash of heavy cream and end up with a cup of cream and no coffee. Of course this isn't cheap so to end up with a $4 cup of undrinkable coffee is upsetting. I'll just have to give this store a break for a while. I hope they get it together. read more

On the south side of I-10, it was easy to get to from the Gause exit. I went thru the drive thru, and the service was quick in the late afternoon. I was in and out within a matter of minutes. Came in at 3:43 on Oct 15. Drive thru was busy but no big deal. Drive thru person was super nice. However my coffee wasn't made right and when I came back to get it remade she was super nice. The drink was a caramel cold brew and didn't have neither vanilla or caramel in in the cold foam. The other woman (not the drive thru woman) making the drinks was not thrilled that it needed to be remade along with other costumers whose drinks were not correct. After remaking the drink she literally put about 6 pumps in a venti. It calls for 2! Sorry, but having an attitude about having to make drinks that weren't made correctly the first time is unprofessional and rude. You and a gentleman are making the drinks so that's the only two people you should be frustrated with not the person spending $8 on a drink they waited 15 mins for! Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Starbucks being my place of choice since they are normally very clean. Key word NORMALLY!!!! This location had the filthiest bathrooms I have ever seen at a Starbucks. My heart belongs to PJ's as far as coffee goes. Sometimes I just need caffeine as soon as possible, though, and can't make it over to PJ's. This particular Starbucks has a really convenient location, a drive thru and a quaint outdoor patio. The employees here are amazing as well. There's one girl who calls me "sweetie" and "love" over the intercom while taking my order and while handing me my drink. I really love that :) If you must have caffeine and can't make it to PJ's, you'll probably like it here almost as much. read more

Setting: 5:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon. Who is not familiar with Starbucks?!?!? This franchise giant has locations all around the globe that is known for its potent espressos, cappuccinos, delicious frappuccinos, handcrafted sodas, pastries, etc. Every location I visited has been consistent with product quality & effectiveness. On the other customer service, cleanliness, quick service, and pricing can be questionable for most stores. The customer service at this location was on point. The staff greeted each customer in both the drive thru & walk-in service. My grande mocha latte with an extra shot was perfect to get me ready for that long drive from Louisiana to Tennessee. It was not busy at all so I could not understand why this store was so trifling. The floors were full of scuff marks with paper and lots of crumbs on the floor, and dirty unused tables. Luckily there was one table left on the much cleaner patio so I was able to enjoy my beverage as I finished some last minute work. I will return since it is in a convenient location and friendly staff however; I will probably stick to the drive-thru & work/read elsewhere. read more

Whoa. My most recent experience reminds me that I should probably visit a place more than once before reviewing. On my first visit I was amazed at the friendliness of the employees in the drive thru. On my my most recent trip the drive thru was packed so I headed inside. Inside there was a massive line just like the drive thru. At first I assumed it was due to the popularity of Oprah's Thai chili macchiato frufru money flavor town latte. But I quickly realized it was more likely due to the inefficiency of the employees. Rather than working quickly to fill orders the crew seemed more focused on chit chat. In addition to their banter, they seemed to be unable to multi task. An example of their inefficiency involved my drink order and that of the person in front of me. The person in front of me ordered a regular coffee. Since the main baristas were backed up, the cashier put her coffee in a cup, handed it to her and it was then my turn. The only problem was that my drink got put in the stack with the super complicated drinks. She could've easily poured my coffee in a cup just like she did for the girl in front of me, but that's not what happened. Maybe they had some reason for that, but many other Starbucks I've visited use the method where the cashier makes simple drinks if the main crew is backed up. The inefficiency could have been overlooked, but the unprofessionalism could not. While waiting for my drink, a woman walked to the counter with her drink. She asked if it was sugar free like she ordered, and seemed to have some sort of medical reason for the request. She seemed very concerned that her drink had sugar and the baristas confirmed that it did. She asked them to remake the drink, but with no sugar and they argued with her. Once they made the drink and she left, they began to speak loudly about her in a very negative way. This conversation was held at a volume where everyone in the store could hear them. It bothered me so much that it caused me to update my review. In summary, I had a great time at the drive thru, but the inside staff ruined my experience. read more

This is the worst Starbucks in America! Not Because of food quality, but wait time. I've been here twice, once in June and again today. It takes 30 minutes, no exaggeration , to get through the drive through. Not sure what their problem is, but you will have a five o'clock shadow beard if you get in line at 1030am like I did - by the time you get your coffee. This store is convenient to interstate. Sometimes they aren't backed up. Don't stop here on Friday morning. Even using order ahead won't save you. 10 min after estimated time is the average. Once, I waited 25 minutes and left without my coffee because I had to get to work. Nice staff. But the Starbucks app is horribly off at this store. read more

It's a Starbucks so as far as places to stop go, it's better than some dump but it's also definitely one of the worst Starbucks I've been to. It loses 2 stars for unfortunately being in the most complicated place to get to with no turns and wrong ways, I would have never got off the highway if I'd known it would take me 15 minutes to get to a place 100 yards away. That and their bathrooms. One was just not very clean but usable, the other was bad... an approximately 12-year-old boy (not known for their high standards of cleanliness) went in and came right back out saying "that ones just nasty!" I visit this location probably 5 days a week. Great employees. Went this morning, waited in the drive through for about 20 minutes. Seems they were short staffed and opened a little late. I've been going to this Starbucks for years, the baristas have always been friendly people, and their service is as quick and accurate as possible. I normally get a caramel or Java chip frappuccino, and if I have a free drink, a veinte "Neapolitan" frappuccino off of the secret menu! This location does the best at anything in terms of being able to accurately match the ingredients, pumps of syrup, etc. In addition, the drive through is pretty busy in the morning around seven whenever people are on their way to work or school. Other then that, it's a pretty big hangout spot for people who need to study or find somewhere to enjoy some social life every once in a while. At night, the place is packed with people and their laptops! The baristas are definitely the best part of this particular Starbucks. read more

This is not a bad Starbucks at all. Yes, it is in the sticks, off the I10 and in a travel/rest stop kind of destination, but the quality is as good as if it were on Maple Street Uptown New Orleans. My husband and I often stop by here when we bowl in Slidell. The drinks are usually made well, and correct, and the junior staff (I never met a manager) seem well trained and polite. I would never take crap from ANY SB personnel, let alone a manager. Had Ginger's experience been mine, I would have already been on the phone (or email) to corporate. That kind of experience is unacceptable anywhere, let alone a corporate company. Correcting a product mistake is easy, correcting poor customer relations takes a lot more. I also like this Starbucks and where it is located because it gives me the false sense of security that Slidell is not as back woods as I think. (For those who are not local, I would say Slidell is to New Orleans as Escondido is to San Diego) Sometimes one just needs a little smoke and mirrors to make everything all right.... read more

The manager here is awesome. I paid for a latte and realized I prefer a coffee - there wasn't anyone behind me yet but a group of people walked in while the cash register took a little time to process the refund. To keep the line moving and to be nice, the manager gifted me the coffee and he didn't look annoyed with me for the hassle. The Pike roast tastes fresh and not burnt, and I appreciate the great service and kind gesture. Tip: this location has a drive-thru. read more
