I have to go with the middle of the road on CB&C. On the plus side, the bagels are Fabulous! This is the only place in Slidell to get anything approximating an NYC bagel. I buy extra when I can because of the minus side... It is almost impossible to get in here! I don't mind queuing up to wait at a restaurant, but every time I try to go they are lined up out the door. I have tried to go at off-times and it's still busy. Great spot for breakfast. Don't be discouraged by the line when you walk in it moves very quickly. The staff are warm, welcoming and helpful for those of us who are overwhelmed by too many good choices. The fresh bagels are delicious as are the house made cream cheeses. I got a half dozen to take home with everything and oat being faves but the cherry almond and pumpernickel didn't disappoint either. They have a nice serve yourself coffee bar offering all Abita Roasting coffee in all varieties. The girls here are so nice I love the South. I didn't know what to expect but the food is so freaking good. I had a breakfast spring roll I added bacon and sausage when I tell you so good that's an understatement. Food is so good you have to try it. The food here is very good. The servers are all friendly and helpful. We are from California and came to Slidell during Mardi Gras season. We were pleasantly surprised to find this little restaurant close by. We especially enjoyed the thin catfish and grits special plate, and the waffles were equally amazing. While my husband's order was correct, mine was a complete mess. I ordered shrimp and grits, which should've been easy at a place that claims to serve "all-day" breakfast. I didn't even mind the $2.00 up-charge to sub potatoes for eggs. It was only after I paid, and we sat down, that I was told they were actually out of grits. So I agreed to sub more potatoes for the grits, with the shrimp and sauce on the side. Instead, the plate arrived with the sauce at the bottom of the potatoes. I ordered the breakfast egg rolls and my eating buddies ordered a praline waffle, bagels with various cream cheeses and a plain Belgium waffle. The breakfast egg rolls were a favorite for all of us. I went to Creole Bagelry in Slidell for the first time today. I got the Blue Bayou salad. It was a generous size and tasted delicious. I thought the salad dressing was a little too sweet, so I didn't use much of it. A little went a long way. The bagel chips were delicious and I got two bagels to go. It was great having an Elite Experience close to home. Today I took advantage of the Experience and ordered the shrimp florentine quiche and the frozen green tea with almond milk. There was a line at the restaurant when I got there around lunch time Saturday, which I assume is just a sign that they have very good bagels. There weren't a whole lot of tables - possibly due to continuing COVID restrictions - but the wait wasn't bad and I wasn't dining in anyway. I placed a catering order online in advance, which I might not have needed to stand in the line to pick up if I hadn't been getting lunch too. I got the Cuban Bagel Sandwich for lunch, a cinnamon apple scone for dessert, and a box of special jalapeno everything bagels with jalapeno popper cream cheese for later snacking. The sandwich was good, and the coleslaw side was actually very impressive: peppery, with a vinaigrette-like dressing instead of smothered in mayo. The scone tasted very good, though the texture was a bit cake-like. As for the straight-up bagels, they were a revelation. I've never actually bought a bagel - just got them as freebies at work, hotels, etc - and always viewed them as the misbegotten cousins of donuts: right shape, but tasting like dense, chewy sadness. There was nothing sad about those Jalapeno Everything bagels. When combined with the jalapeno popper cream cheese, my only regret was that I could only manage to eat 1-2 bagels in a sitting. I have to admit that, were it not for this Yelp Elite perk, I may have gone my whole life without ever spending money on a bagel. I'm not sure that I'll start eating bagels with any regularlity, but I'll definitely be keeping The Creole Bagelry in mind for north shore events from now on. Pro tip: Do not refrigerate your bagels. Trying to cut open a bagel that has been refrigerated and reheated is a game that you don't want to play. The knife nick on my palm is proof that such bagels are feisty opponents. read more

let me begin by saying I took my elderly mom and dad here for Father's Day breakfast. For the 3 of us the bill came out to $75. Neither of my parents can stand in line for long so I ushered them to their seats. I then proceed to go to the counter order the food then I pour the drinks and I set the table. When the lady at the pick up window called my name I had to go pick up the food and bring it to the table. When we were finished I had to bus the table. The whole place runs like an inefficient McDonalds restaurant except at McD's breakfast isn't $75 bucks. The food is mostly prepackaged and warmed up. I had chicken and waffles with like some kind of Chinese sweet and sour sauce on it. Terrible. We should have just gone to McDonalds. Also, access for mobility impaired people is minimal at best. My family and I won't be going back. Overpriced nonsense. read more

As good as everyone says! We got lucky and arrived just before the rush. Everything was hot and tasty. I had the Monique omelette and potatoes. I loved it and ate every bite of the omelette. The potatoes are seasoned and crispy. I didn't eat them all as I needed room for the bagel. The bagels are fantastic and you can order them with a corresponding cream cheese. I don't usually eat all my bagel and toss half but I couldn't do that in good conscience as it would be travesty! A very good variety of drinks so you don't need to be pigeonholed into ordering plain coffee. The place is a bit small for the crowds but seems to be enough seating for everyone. Oh man. It's so hard to finish a breakfast here, and yet so hard not to. The portions are huge AND the quality is superb, so what's a girl to do? Well, I guess the answer is a to-go box. My favorite breakfast item so far is the chimichanga, but I've also had the avocado toast and traditional breakfast. The salads are really good too if you need a lunch to go. The service is always great too. Everyone is friendly and upbeat, and the dining area is always very clean. After seeing Yelp New Orleans promoting this place, we decided to drive out and give it a try. Overall, this place is a really promising option for bagels. We both got sausage egg and cheeses, with hers on an everything and mine on garlic with scallion cream cheese. The bagels are smaller and lighter in color than your average NY bagel. They are pretty good though! Easy to eat, not too tough or overly salty. They make for a great sandwich. The iced coffee didn't have enough ice in it, but tastes like your run of the mill iced coffee. However I did overhear someone talking about their blended coffees being delicious. Will have to try that next time! My fiancée is from New Jersey and has a high standard for bagels. She was pleasantly impressed, and of course, as the true New Jersey native she is, still noted that New York/Jersey bagels are better at the end of our meals. My friend introduced us to this place a while back and it's so good!!! We've finally been able to come back and try again! The first time we went I had the steak & eggs Benedict. My choice stop for breakfast in Slidell turns out to be this centrally located bagel place. It is actually a fairly large restaurant, nice inside, but it's quick for takeout too, and opens early enough to be practical. Their wall of bagels looked impressive, and the sundried tomato bagel was especially so, delivering ample flavor with every bite. Their jalapeno wasn't quite as delicious, but I appreciated the spice. They aren't quite as sour and chewy as my faves, but they're good. I got both with butter, which was ample. Their menu includes a variety of other breakfast dishes. There are only a few things that would fit my diet, but I wouldn't mind coming back for a bag of bagels to go if I were in Slidell again. read more
