I appreciate how they have local businesses such as Thomas Hammer Coffee now. I was also pleasantly surprised that Thomas Hammer didn't jack up their prices because it's an airport. I'll gladly pay $7 for a high quality coffee compared to many of the overpriced mediocre options out there. The barista was friendly and was very quick making my Carmanilla Latte. This is my personal favorite drink here, it's slightly sweet but still allows the robust espresso to shine through. Thank you for the pick me up on my way home!

We ordered a Caramanilla and a mocha, both hot, 12 oz, along with two SEC croissant breakfast sandwiches. The tall male employee taking our order asked if we wanted our drinks hot or iced and what size. We clearly answered that both drinks were hot. When our drinks came out, the Caramanilla was made iced. My fiancée politely let the female barista know it was supposed to be hot. She replied, "Well, the ticket said iced," and checked with the male employee. Instead of considering that he may have entered the order incorrectly or misheard us, he repeatedly insisted that we had ordered it iced. Mistakes happen. We weren't upset that the drink had to be remade. What disappointed us was the attitude. Rather than simply saying, "Sorry about that, we'll remake it," he argued with us, appeared visibly annoyed, gave me dirty looks throughout the interaction, and when he later brought out our sandwiches, my fiancée thanked him and he didn't even acknowledge her. It's entirely possible he misheard us, and that's okay. Everyone makes mistakes. What isn't okay is refusing to consider that possibility and making customers feel like they're inconveniencing you over a drink that takes less than a minute to remake. The interaction made us feel so uncomfortable that we decided not to eat there and left instead. I hope management addresses this. Good customer service isn't about never making mistakes. It's about how you handle them when they happen.
