I was surprised, at how much bigger the inside is, compared to some of the other Starbucks. There were plenty of people behind the counter...which was nice to see, in this economy. The atmosphere was low key and inviting. Lots of seating and books, for reading! The location to Mercy Hospital, is easy to find from this Starbucks and makes the perfect spot to grab a beverage or something to eat after a long day. I enjoy going there with my husband, after a day of tests or a procedure at the hospital. read more

A nice location to study, meet up with friends, conduct a casual interview or just need a good cup of coffee togo. I've sat here working a few times and know I can count on their coffee consistency. This is the place that I've tried Flat White for the first time and the nuttiness of flavor got me hooked; I tried ordering from another Starbucks and it wasn't the same. Here's the thing. I cannot get with their sanitation practices here. The appearance is clean and it smells good, but when I see how the preparation is handled, it's a huge turn off and I will stop supporting this establishment if this continues. When you as a worker come in from outdoors cleaning the windows and doors or whatever have you, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF OUR HEALTH, WASH YOUR HANDS! That should be the first thing. You just finished handling chemicals and the public door handle. Why would you take my order and then start preparing my drink. Absolutely not! That is never okay. I'm sure you all know that. Another thing. Stop putting your fingers inside of our cups (when you're grabbing it to make our drinks). If you don't care what others do or how they handle your drinking cup, that's fine, but don't project that to be the case for everyone else. Completely disappointed in the behavior of the staff. The sign on the door clearly states face masks are required, then when the line is to the door, one of the several staff members not doing anything comes out to socialize with the two in line not wearing masks. So I politely ask, "excuse me, are masks optional or required?" And the socializing staff turns to another person and asks in a way that leads me to believe one of these two is a current or former employee. The manager, Erica does nothing and tells me they can't enforce it. However, there are things businesses can do and have done to enforce such as hand out masks and ask folks to wear a mask or leave. This location is a hit or miss. The workers are nice but, this location always seems understaffed. 2/5 times my drink is actually made right and only when I see a new face making my drink. Anytime I come and see the usual workers I can almost guarantee that my drink is almost unbearable. I know it's a Starbucks so they're all pretty much the same, right? But this one rates 5 stars for me due to its spaciousness and lack of a drive-thru. (So sick of waiting for my drink whilst drive-thru orders take priority at other locations.) Set in a strip mall, there is plenty of parking in the shared lot with Dierbergs. Easy in and out using either entrance at traffic light, just south of 270. Staff are friendly and fill orders quickly & accurately weather in person or mobile. My favourite thing about this location is how spacious it is inside. You can actually find a seat and not feel like you're sitting in anyone's way, making it great spot to relax over a cold brew. read more

Went to this location today, they made my coffee wrong. Easy mistake, but when I asked for it to be made correctly, I received lots of attitude. I was asked to try the incorrect drink, which burnt my tongue. If I'm going to pay six dollars for a cup of coffee, I think it's understandable that I get what I ordered! I've never been much of a coffee drinker. I'm more of a hot tea kind of girl. However, when I stumbled into this Starbucks looking for Christmas gifts, I have to admit I was really pleasantly impressed. Not only did they have a great display of gifts for sale, but to my surprise I found a nice little "nook" that I see myself going back to to hang out. They have a few comfy chairs, and several decent sized, sturdy tables set up where you can meet, study, and plan your day. My favorite surprise was the book nook - they have a little alcove of books that you can read...YAY. While I was there, I thought what the heck. I got a Salted Carmel Mocha Grande - YAY again. I have decided that this is now my go to beverage when I stop in. This drink alone may have converted me into a coffee drinker! No one is more surprised than I about that, let me tell you. I always envisioned Starbucks as having long lines, cramped space, and crabby people needing their next caffeine fix. I've been there 5 or 6 times now, and I always get waited on right away, and the barista is über friendly and helpful. I like this spot. A lot. The only drawback I've found so far, is that it's in a strip mall, and the parking lot can be full right in front of their store. Once a year, I go to Starbuck's specifically for heart attack in a grande cup, aka their seasonal egg nog latte. If you're looking for one of the nicer Starbucks in town, this is the place to go. The location is perfect if you're a South Countian - right smack in the middle of a busy area, hospital, food establishment and grocery shopping. The staff is super nice but I think that's just the company in general as I can honestly say I have never gone to Starbucks and not had a nice employee. The company has started to add more items to their food offerings. I have yet to try them but I cannot say no to their pastries as it is. Something you may not know - if you buy the Starbucks coffee bags to make at home, if you keep the bag and take it to one of the stores, they will give you a free cup of coffee when you turn it in. Watch out for the Barista's if it not their good day! We found them to be rude and we totally rushed when ordering. Plus on a Saturday night around 9:30pm 2 weeks ago the Barista was rushing people out due to clsoing at 10pm. I worked at this location for over 2 years as well as many others in the area for a total of 6 1/2 years. I can tell you for even being one of the older ones, this is by far the cleanest store in the greater STL area. The staff is still the most friendly group of people every time I go in-even the newbies I don't know! The environment is also a perk since there's no drive through. While living in Fenton, I would drive out of my way to go to this Starbucks instead. read more

This is the best Starbucks in St. Louis hands down!! The service is absolutely wonderful and their drinks just taste a little better! They've only slipped up on my drink once in the three years I've been coming and when they did they were so apologetic! Elle even let me keep the drink that was messed up! One of my favorite parts of coming in is seeing the goofy big guy Caleb! He seems to really enjoy his job and he always has a smile on his face. I love watching him mess with his coworkers and have genuine fun while doing his job. The only negative comment I have would be the music is too loud occasionally but I don't mind most of the time! Only drawbacks are that sometimes ALL the seating is taken, completely full, and the parking's not that great. One more bad thing is that they have no drive through.
