Was very disappointed by the breakfast sandwich. Based on other reviews I was expecting fresh and tasty. Hearing the microwave start after I placed my order was not a good sign. My husband liked his coffee but I think we would've been just as satisfied at the McDonalds across the street. The place was also very dirty and appeared to have not been cleaned from the day before. I'm new to the area, so I am looking for a new favorite coffee shop. I was up pretty early on a Saturday so my only options on Telegraph were the national chains and Perk It Up, which made my choice easy. The shop was clean, the staff friendly, and the menu offered everything I would expect from a full service coffee shop, and some breakfast sandwiches as well. Unfortunately, I found my latte to be lacking in strength, even with the addition of an extra shot of espresso. A for effort but I'll be shopping around. read more

Speaking as a total coffee snob, let me tell you, come to Perk It Up. First of all, you want to meet Christina, the owner. Once you've met, she'll remember your name and order and she'll get it right. For example, I asked for sugar free hazelnut syrup but not too sweet and she made it just right. Owner seems nice enough. It is a bit strange to walk in and have someone giving massages in the middle of the store. Definitely get beans and go as the prepped coffee is weak. Lots of good gift to chose from though. I can't rate the food as we did not have it. read more

Wonderful little establishment. The food is average aside from the baked goods which are hand-made, but the coffee and lattes remain as standouts. Note in advance that the restaurant has very limited seating: only a small table in the corner of the lobby but the service is quick so you won't be standing for long. Great find. I deviated from my Starbucks routine as I just wanted somewhere close, and found this place. How have I lived so close for a year and never noticed it? I went in today and it smelled wonderful! The owner Christina was friendly and knowledgeable beyond compare to a coffee house I've been to before. I mentioned I was an iced coffee girl and she just started walking me through options. I ended up with an iced salted caramel turtle with oat milk and it was amazing! Christina shared that if I call ahead she will run my drink out to me too! I tried one of her customizable breakfast sandwiches and that was so good and what a great price at $3.75! Absolutely love this little coffee shop! They have the best selection of local coffee beans, teas etc! My go to is normally the caramel macchiato hot or iced; its delish. It's not Starbucks' atmosphere but at least you don't have a dozen people squatting on the wifi for hours on end & choking it... Like Starbucks. People know each other here.
