I want to thank the baristas on staff for September 30, 2025 around 1:15 PM--I was greeted with a smile when I came in for my pickup order. After a quick trip to the restroom (which I am glad are two unisex bathrooms), I went to pick up my coffee and my brunch. OMG, my coffee was like a work of art! I took pictures. :) As for the ambiance, it was a nice middle-of-the day time with lots of friendly people around, which I appreciated. Thank you to the tall young man who took the time to make my coffee so beautiful and perfect. Today, I treated myself to a big ol' iced pumpkin spiced latte with almond milk; the whipped cream and smattering of cinnamon looked like a work of art. Y'all keep up the good work! read more

Did a mobile order ahead just to wait 20 minutes and for them to do the order wrong. I ordered a caramel macchiato & they had 0 caramel in it. I went back and the girl just added it to the top. Every other Starbucks in the world adds it first around the cup. If you don't want to do the job right work somewhere else. A nearby bakery was giving out free baked goods since they clearly know this location is trash. Unfortunately there were no trash cans outside for me to throw my coffee away. I really don't know what has happened at this Starbucks... All of a sudden, it looks horrible inside and outside and very unwelcoming. Shades pulled all the way down, chairs and tables in disarray. Inside a chair on top of a recycling bin and chairs on top of the table. Trash on the floor... We are so disappointed. I visit this Starbucks almost every day. Firstly, the good baristas are more often than not, very friendly, and make me feel welcomed. They always greet me when I walk in sometimes by name! So this review is really overdue! So I definitely feel like a regular here. It's right around the corner from my job and so I let other co-workers and colleagues know when I'm planning to stop there! Just in case they'd like something also. The place is spacious and the seating cozy! I honestly thought all Starbucks were supposed to be the same, but I received bad customer service when I decided to visit another Starbucks place, just helps me appreciate you guys even more though. I was at your location today at 11:20am on a Saturday. I have NEVER seen chaos like this before. There were 3 dozen drinks waiting to be picked up at the counter. 10 people in line to order at the counter. 20 people congregated around the pickup waiting for their beverages. Just absolute bedlam! The barista team working here was REMARKABLE. The smoothest operating team I have seen in any location ever. They worked non-stop getting everyone serviced. Engaged with people asking questions. I unfortunately had to wait 23 minutes for my drink, but during that time I was just so incredibly impressed by how well the team collaborated and never stopped working. Great job! read more

I only get a chance to come visit this Starbucks location during 4 weeks every summer while I am in the area for a summer job I work at, but I do try to go every day during those weeks. While waiting in traffic on the Merritt, I place my order through the mobile app and then it is usually ready within 5 minutes and by the time I walk in, it's right there and ready. I just grab it and walk out since it is already paid for. I've heard that there can be a bit of a wait for your beverages, but I don't seem to run into any problem. Just keep in mind this location is like the only Starbucks around especially for Merritt commuters, hence the busy-ness. Hideous place. The coffee tasted burnt. Left a foul aftertaste. Perhaps worse was the staff's rudeness. There was a young Starbucks employee (with a nose pin/ornament) who was training someone. She was going on and out, loudly. So loud I couldn't think straight or focus on what I was trying to read. Rather than sitting at one of the tables away from customers, she and her trainee were right next to customers. She was loud, incessant and rude. I shudder to think she might be the manager. I'm so proud of the staff here, the work they put in, and the manager. I was a partner (employee) of this location from July 2014 - Dec 2015, before getting promoted and transferred out to Seattle. I started working here about 2 weeks after Noelle, who is now the manager for this store. While I was developing on a different track than her, I watched her grow to be an incredible barista, Starbucks partner, and manager. It warms my heart to see reviews assuming she started 6-8 years ago with Sbux, when it's really only been just shy of 5. I am no longer with the company and moved back to this area to start my family. I still would rather go here than any other Sbux in the area. The quality of drinks, the level of familial yet professional service, and the commitment to growth shown by Noelle and her team make me proud to tell people that this used to be my store. read more

Parking and seating can be limited during peak times. Long lines for an average chain coffee. However, I really enjoy the Chinese Green Tips tea. I will be interested to see the tea offerings once Teavana (Starbucks) replaces the Tazo brand. Hopefully, they will offer a similar green loose leaf tea that is not filtered, herbal, and infused non-Tea combinations. read more

Corporate chain has lost it's way. Squeeze profits while lowering value. Remember when there was a small, grande, venti. Now they did away with the small and replaced it with grande. And reduced the oz of the venti. Rewards have also changed several times. Consistently lowering the reward and now expiring them. I may actually have to visit elsewhere for my caffeine. This is a bustling suburban Starbucks where I used to go frequently when in the area. It has not changed in any major way. The place has been redecorated some, as Starbucks often are, to keep them fresh and updated. The staff is well trained and they made my espresso drink perfectly. There is plenty of parking out here in suburbia, which I am not lucky enough to have near home, a more urban congested area. All in all, a better than average Starbucks. read more

it's always hit or miss here. In the mornings the crew can be super efficient, friendly, welcoming and get you in and out the door within a matter of minutes. This is my preferred time of day to visit this location, The afternoons can be a gamble. Sometimes they are incredibly attentive, making delicious drinks, keeping the counter area clean and keeping the line moving, however there are times when they are lagging. The evenings can be some of the worst times to visit this location. Perhaps they are understaffed in the evenings but there have been plenty of times when people storm out due to lack of attention. In the evenings baristas tend to be doing....nothing. A line will form and there will be a few baristas in the back sweeping, one making drinks (barely looking up to acknowledge the forming line) and a few more in the back pacing about. This Starbucks is conveniently located near Trader Joe's, Cobs Bread, DSW, Vitamin Shoppe, CVS and off of exit 35 for the Merritt Parkway so it's a good option if you need a coffee fix before or after a long day of shopping. The manager at this location is a whip. I wish she was always there to keep the baristas in check. When she's there the drinks are made to perfection and the line moves quickly. All in all this Starbucks is OK, but much better when the manager is around to run a tight ship. read more

Stopped by here on a Monday afternoon. It was nearly empty. Everything was fine until I got to the condiment table for sugar and milk. There were overflowing garbage bin, used sugar packs, some other unidentified brown white powder on the countertop, stirring sticks and more unidentified powder on the floor. I went here on a Thursday afternoon to study. Parking was a breeze as they had a free parking lot, which is rare in Stamford. When you first walk in you see a TON of tables, perfect for studying . They have lots of outlets and different types of tables so you're able to study alone or with a large group. Depending on the time you arrive, you may wait 15 minutes for a drink, or 2. This location is very driven by lunch hours and after work hours. During that time frame, you have have to wait for a while as most people tend to find the free parking as a draw. They have about 4-5 employees during the main hours and they really get the line going. Very nice Starbucks if you need to study or meet up with friends. read more

They stopped brewing decaf now you can only get a pour over which does not taste the same. Am sure all else is good.

More than 1/2 hour to go before closing, and they were out of decaf, which is understandable. But evening/nighttime is when people want decaf. Since starbucks is primarily supposed to be, you know, a place for "coffee", how about making some more decaf or offering to make a decaf americano (like other starbucks usually do in this situation)? There was literally no one else on line, no one waiting for drinks.... but nope. So I had the regular, which was disgusting even by burnt starbucks standards.
