They greet you upon entering the cafe with a smile. The selection of coffees and things to snack on is always super, with specials related to the time of the year. The Coffee Lodge provides a quiet spot for someone to bring a laptop and study or work. It has comfortable seating for people to enjoy the coffee and the food. There are also many things to purchase from local artisans from jewelry to clothing. Overall this is one of my favorite places to get coffee around. For its convenience, the best coffee, and the variety of seating and places to shop within the lodge, I give the Coffee Lodge a definite 5-Stars! I would go there with friends or family to enjoy a morning or afternoon coffee. I would go there to take my laptop and work for a while in a secluded corner while enjoying some delicious coffee. I would go there to shop for gifts to purchase locally made things. So many reasons I would go there, but the number one reason is for their delicious coffee! It stands out above the rest. I love getting it to go on the way to work or I love getting it to sit there with friends and chat in the morning away. No matter what I highly encourage you to visit the coffee lodge. And beware you may go there for a 15 minute chat and find yourself there for two hours. It is just that comfortable!

She gave suggestions and answered the many questions we had about some of the drink options on the menu. My friends went for the 1 dip Affogato and I opted for a scoop of cappuccino gelato. My serving was just enough to satisfy my taste for coffee. It was very creamy and delicious. I would definitely order it again, but I would rather try some of the other yummies on the menu. I was greeted promptly by both the delectable selection and the woman running the shop. The truffles and fudge are first to greet you with tantalizing flavors and colors. Then on to the sky high cupcakes and cakes along with plenty of flavors of gelato. The do not miss part is the cheesecake variety on the end. The rest are an appetizer and the cheesecakes are the mouthwatering main. All of it pairs nicely with a variety of coffees, shakes, floats, and Italian sodas. I come into town one or two times a year to visit family and friends, and I usually have my favorite places picked out to visit while here. The Gondolier is now on my list of must visits!

Even from over 800 miles away, I wanted to make sure she still felt celebrated and loved. Ava went above and beyond. She created a beautiful cake, personally delivered it, and even surprised my daughter with extra goodies. I was told the cake was absolutely delicious and looked perfect. Thank you, Ava, for helping make my daughter's birthday so special and for giving this mom a little peace of mind from 800 miles away. Your kindness and thoughtfulness meant more than you know.

Similar flavors but both are very good in taste. The store was clean and organized 0 complaints. Will be visiting this location soon again if I come up here to statesville NC. When we arrived at 8:30 Sunday morning, there were three Statesville police cars, two fire trucks and three rusty pickup trucks parked out front. That's about as local as it gets. Warmly welcomed and "seat yourself" so we took a booth on the side. A few minutes later, a waitress arrived with coffee cups got us started. Breakfast took about ten minutes and the open kitchen design allowed us to watch the flow of orders being given to the cooks and plates coming out. French Toast for Mrs. K. was light and fluffy, the sort of challah bread that makes it ideal. A ham and cheese omelet for me was nicely sized and nicely stuffed with toast.
